Finally, all participants made it to the eighth floor and kick-started the final round of the group competition.
The blood intent requirement for the ninth floor was so insane that even Kong Yau, who had been consistently collecting it through blood spectres, was lacking the qualification.
She hadn’t come across any grade two blood spectres on the previous floors, thus grade two must’ve been the limit of the blood spectres’ strength for the group competition. But Kong Yau was not shaken up.
Every outstanding cultivator of Kong Yau’s generation was capable of combating gliphic beasts or even other cultivators a state above them, and this obviously included Kong Yau herself. Fearlessly and gracefully, Kong Yaumoved towards the bestial roars.
The relentless howling had Kong Yau frowning, but the next second, the source of the howling came to an abrupt stop as if the beast was being choked.
Moving forward, Kong Yau watched a four-meter-tall blood spectre drop to the ground and turn into a thick ball of blood that entered the body of a girl in white. The girl had her hands right behind her back, giving off the vibe that she was towering over the world – a vibe that one would never imagine coming from a teenage girl.
Kong Yau was startled at the sight of this girl, but fighting spirit filled Kong Yau’s enchanting orbs instantly. “Mung Si!”
The girl in white turned over, showing off her foreign beauty. This was none other than Mung Si.
Mung Si stared at Kong Yau silently.
“I’ve been waiting for this for a long time,” Kong Yau spoke gently as if she was whispering, but contrasted with her voice, star-like energliph surged from her body and twinkled.Mung Si still didn’t reply to her, she only watched silently.
This made Kong Yau furious. She was the daughter of stars and doted on by the heavens. Everybody in the world, including her master, adored and thought highly of her!
Everybody except Mung Si. Kong Yau hated how this girl, who was given the title of “best young female gliphist in the world,” gazed at everything with disdain. Kong Yau especially hated that even she, someone just as talented, was looked down upon.
“Take this attack.” Without any more words, the fight between two beautiful teenage girls started! Starlight-like gliph strings formed behind Kong Yau and a huge starlight bow was formed, launching light arrows at Mung Si!
Calmly, Mung Si formed the Wall Prison gliph with her flame-like gliph strings.
Boom!
Both gliphs were destroyed!
Kong Yau wore a thin smile on her face as hatred shone in her eyes. She felt that Mung Si was being too arrogant for choosing to take down her gliph with the ordinary Wall Prison. The thought of this caused changes in the gliph strings behind her.
One, two, three… the vivid gliph strings hard at work were just like bright stars in the night sky. Coming together, eight stars formed a galaxy with a diameter of one meter!
This was Kong Yau’s personal gliph – Blue Galaxy!
Kong Yau smiled widely as the hatred in her eyes intensified. “Sister, watch out.”
The stars lit up at once and turned into eight energliph light beams!
Scowling, Lam Zaa chased after the girls in front of him. Not only could the Hundred Streams body resonate with the energy of heaven and earth, it also nurtured the cultivator’s body. Therefore, the girls were unable to escape Lam Zaa even with the boost of Ha Yu Bing’s gliph.
However, the chase was cut short by a teen’s cry; "The person in front, beware! There’s a monster!"
This was a familiar sight that made Lam Zaa’s face turn black. "It’s you!" He gritted his teeth at a scuttering figure that brought along a huge shining blood spectre in the form of a ferocious tiger!
"Why are you running away when I said that I can settle it?" a helpless voice rang out from behind the tiger. A teen wielding a sword and shield appeared from the blood fog with a helpless sigh. But very soon, he saw something that made him even more helpless, a teen boy chasing two girls.
Lee Bak couldn’t help but sigh at how good a trouble maker Sung Hau was. This is no different from the Forbidden Forest, turning a simple matter into a complicated fight.
However, Lee Bak still underestimated Sung Hau as well as the eighth floor.
The eighth floor couldn’t be considered spacious, so their commotion as well as the strong energliph movement soon attracted a crowd.
Suddenly, Sung Hau jumped up with a girly shriek. “Kill it!” he yelled before rapidly turning.
Pfft!An imperceptible silver light flashed by, which Sung Hau successfully dodged, and landed on the blood spectre.
The blood spectre came to a halt. A scary sword intent cut the blood fog and the spectre in half, revealing a figure.
It was Fok Fung!
His appearance put a smile on Lee Bak’s face. He had been waiting for a proper opponent to test his diamond-shaped shield that emitted a pentachromatic shine.
Matchless Guardian might’ve only been a grade one gliph weapon, but just as Chui Yim mentioned, be it the skills or the ingredients used, they were the best of the best, and this was beyond anything an ordinary blacksmith could create. Moreover, Lee Bak had been nurturing this shield with his mental energy. The connection between his energliph and the shield was so closely linked that it shone brightly in a colour that couldn’t simply be ignored.
Right on time for me to try out my shield!
As if feeling Lee Bak’s strong will to battle, Fok Fung frowned. Like two long swords, the surrounding sword intent suddenly gathered together and went straight for Lee Bak!
“Sung Hau, go play with them.” A smile formed at the corner of Lee Bak’s lips as he gathered energliph to disperse the sharp sword intent coming from Fok Fung.
“Oh…” Sung Hau responded and turned to the pitiful looking girls as well as Lam Zaa chasing after them. The naive Sung Hau immediately classified Lam Zaa as a villain and jumped in front of him, shouting, “Let’s fight!”
Lam Zaa laughed loudly at this scene. He was dying to beat up Sung Hau, and now he threw himself over here? “Great!” Lam Zaa launched an attack powerful enough to shake the world!
“What’s going on? This energliph movement is horrifying!” Chui Yim came out of the blood fog as he patted his head only to be greeted with this messy scene.
His appearance left the crowd in utter disbelief. Many were weirded out at how a talented blacksmith was able to make it to this stage, but Lee Bak knew well that his appearance signified that Ching Lang Pak had been defeated.
Lee Bak was clear on Ching Lang Pak’s ability; he was one of the better ones amongst his peers! And Chui Yim successfully-
Suddenly, Lee Bak defended himself with his left arm!
Boom!
Sword intent hit the shield and then collapsed!
Fok Fung didn’t take any further action as he spoke coldly, “How dare you daydream while fighting me? I don’t know if you’re that brave or you simply don’t know where you stand.”
“You think too highly of yourself,” Lee Bak said calmly. “The Fok Clan isn’t worth my full attention.”
“Arrogant.” Fok Fung sneered and shot out sword intent without even moving!
