That fateful war was a tragedy for the South. On a flatland where the North had the advantage, the Northerners’ strength was completely revealed, and many one and two-chambered soldiers sacrificed themselves for the South. Even five-chambered gliphers died on the battleground guarding the South. This was the worst war that had ever occurred.

The war ended when the South forced themselves to take the lives of all Northern trespassers with a sacrifice ratio of five Southerners to one Northerner. The South literally guarded their territory with flesh and blood.

After this incident, the South sent hundred- and thousand-gliphic gliphists to guard the Forbidden Forest with formations as well as to monitor the North’s actions.

The Nine-Tailed Tribe officially played an important part in the North and South’s long-lasting war.

Nine-Tailed Wai-Chi played the role of military counsellor for the dense Northerners and taught them tricks and coordination to help during battles. Therefore, the Nine-Tailed Clan was wanted by the South.

Wai-Chi Chun wore a confident smile as three odd and long pinkish arm-width tails sprouted from his back. It was as if Wai-Chi Chun had grown tails.

Wai-Chi clan members never had to worry about personal gliphs as they had a gliph inherited from their ancestors in their blood – the Nine-Tailed Fox gliph.

Wai-Chi Chun was not even slightly affected by Chui Yim’s Flame’s Blade. He easily dispersed the gliph by waving a pink tail and left only sparks in the air. He turned to On Kuet with a thin smile on his face.

“Mr. On, I won’t let you defeat Sun Liu just like that.”

On Kuet sneered. He was confident that his previous attack would’ve been able to eliminate Sun Liu. Despite looking like a simple-minded man with well-developed limbs, he was a composed boy in reality. Every On Clan Leader was both a fine scholar and fighter, which was the same for On Kuet. He seemed to be totally immersed in the fight with Sun Liu when he actually paid attention to the rest of the Northerners.

Of course, he wouldn’t believe that the Northerners, who had more numbers, would be such gentlemen as to battle them one-on-one. This was why he immediately spotted the pinkish object before he finished attacking Sun Liu and chose to defend himself. Otherwise, he would’ve eliminated Sun Liu and then immediately joined him.

The bright On Kuet even thought of the possibility that such a scene was exactly what Wai-Chi Chun hoped to see. If both him and Sun Liu were eliminated, Wai-Chi Chun would have two fewer enemies and could take all of their blood intent to make it to the sixth floor.

The thought of this put a solemn expression on On Kuet’s face.

After the incident, nobody would continue fighting alone. Sun Liu crawled up with goosebumps on his skin after feeling a sabre so close to his neck. Lung Wai Yuet mentioned before that their lives would not be in danger… but the near-death experience left him in great fear!

Or Shan Tat was as pale as a sheet of paper too. He never imagined that the Southerners he always looked down on would fight like such madmen! Under Wong Chow Yip’s attacks, he was badly suppressed to the point that he couldn’t catch his breath. Only with Wai-Chi Chun’s help was he able to seriously injure Wong Chow Yip.

Thus, the Northerners dared not belittle their Southern classmates anymore. Besides, time was ticking away, so the best method was to fight as a group now.

Chui Yim and friends exchanged glances and…

“Time to escape!” Chui Yim shouted and the four of them went in four different directions! The four of them had discussed this plan at the start.

The seven Northerners were stunned as none of them expected the four teens who fought so fiercely earlier would escape without hesitation now!

“Catch them all!” Wai-Chi Chun ordered. “They have enough blood intent to allow us to reach the sixth floor. Separate into teams of two and go after each of them. I’ll take the gliphist. I have left the Fox Demon Mark on you guys so I can find you all one by one after I settle that kiddo.”

“Are you sure… you’re alright dealing with him alone?” A rare hesitation was seen on Sun Liu’s face.

But Wai-Chi Chun laughed in response. His calm and relaxed composure put Sun Liu at ease. “That Chui kid is terrific in forging and medicine, but strength-wise, he still has a long way to go. He’s only just broken through his innate chamber, how could he be my opponent?”

The thought of Wai-Chi Chun’s disgusting Nine-Tailed Fox gliph made Sun Liu nod in agreement. “Okay. See you later.”

Swoosh!

The six other Northerners separated into teams of two and went in three directions while Wai-Chi Chun’s gentle and calm smile was replaced with a vicious one as he stomped towards Chui Yim’s direction.

…………

“Aha, I see that you two have to come in place of Sun Liu because he lost his balls, eh?” On Kuet laughed loudly as he ran at a speed that left his enemies in shock. But after a short while, On Kuet came to an abrupt stop. When the Northerners realised what was going on, On Kuet was already standing in front of them!

He made use of Chopping Steps once again!

On Kuet’s sabre lit up brightly as energliph movement could be sensed! His sabre was part of Chui Yim’s New Rich series and had an unpopular gliph that boosted his physical strength carved in it.

On Kuet seemed to be a violent fighter, but he faced the problem of running out of strength when battling cultivators of the same state due to his innate chamber being his right leg. Thus, Chui Yim made the decision of carving a gliph that would boost his physical strength, which allowed him to be on par with Sun Liu without having to activate the special body type.

With his Kirin Arm and the gliph on his sabre, every one of his attacks made cold beads of sweat roll down his opponent’s forehead.

Now that On Kuet made a sudden turn, the gliphers couldn’t react and stood rooted to the ground in fear. Boom! A blood-coloured light shield covered one of them as the cultivator disappeared on the spot, leaving only blood intent behind.

“Your turn.” On Kuet turned to the other, but to his surprise, the glipher turned around and scampered off for his life without the slightest hesitation like he was being chased by a man-eating monster!

“Pui!” On Kuet took the blood intent and found a spot to cultivate.

“The dude from Chor Clan, do you only know how to escape!?” Or Shan Tat shouted. He had to admit that Wong Chow Yip’s crazy style suppressed him to a certain extent, so he chose to come for Chor Kwong Laan.

But as a Chor Clan member, Chor Kwong Laan did not even bother to speak. He only glared at his opponents before waving his rod at them!

“Right on time!” Or Shan Tat was feeling unhappy about how he could only receive attacks from Wong Chow Yip previously, so he went against Chor Kwong Laan fearlessly!

The Chor Clan’s rod style was well-known all over the world for its great defence. When Chor Kwong Laan performed it, everything in front of him turned dark as if he was defended by two pitch-black gates. Or Shan Tat was at a loss over where to start attacking from.

“Great skills!” Or Shan Tat shouted. “Take my attack!”

With that, his right hand that held his knife had a burst of energliph! This was his gliphility, Braving Wind and Billows!

The sabre in his hand became one that could slash apart huge knives and came with unrivalled skills. Indeed a Northern talent, creating such a powerful gliphility at the one-chambered state!

The Chor Clan members were firm men. After the Chor Fung and Forbidden Forest situation, Chor Kwong Laan became more mature and was able to remain unfazed when faced with such a powerful attack. The rod in his hands showed a similarly surprising energy wave as he finally said his first words of the battle; “Sky Pillar.”
