Furthermore, it was uncommon to have a shield as a gliph weapon.

Instantly, many short-range gliphers were hungering for the shield in Chui Yim’s hand. It was undoubtedly a powerful gliph weapon!

Chui Yim ignored the excitement which covered the faces of important figures but continued tutoring Chai Fook Sau and Yau Suet Chung calmly. “Remember this, a weapon’s grade doesn’t represent everything; only the thoughts and intentions behind the weapon count. A great chef isn’t one that serves dishes with extravagant ingredients but one who serves delicacies cooked using ordinary ingredients! Creating a rare item out of ordinary ingredients is what grandmasters do!”

All the other participants were dazed to hear Chui Yim, while Chai Fook Sau was already jotting everything he said in a small notebook. On the other hand, Yau Suet Chung wore a dazed expression; everything that took place today was too much for him to process.

One of the important figures on the grandstand couldn’t hold it in. “Little friend Chui, is this item for sale?” It was Sze Fung, who Chui Yim had chided previously. But unlike before, he was now smiling.

“I’m sorry. This weapon belongs to someone else.” Chui Yim looked at him.

“Ah…” Sze Fung wore a painful expression but continued immediately. “Little friend Chui, it’s all good. The Metallic Blood War Gate can pay double whoever it’s reserved for.”

“It’s not money that matters, but one’s trustworthiness. A man who won’t keep his word is destined to fail.” Chui Yim stared at Sze Fung disdainfully.

This infuriated Sze Fung. He was so angry that he would have already attacked Chui Yim if not for where he was. However, all he could do now was agree with Chui Yim. “Little friend Chui is indeed an elite. I admire your character.”

With that, Sze Fung kept quiet as his eyes shone brightly, indicating his huge interest in Chui Yim’s shield.

Of course, Chui Yim won. Nobody would be surprised even if Chui Yim produced a grade three weapon in this competition, as his grade one shield could absorb the attack of a grade two weapon and even destroy it with the energy it absorbed. The world had never seen such a thing, and Fung Seung declared him the winner even without revealing his scores.

“The interschool exchange forging segment winner is Chui Yim from the Cloud Palace Outer Sect!”

The crowd cheered for him whilst his schoolmates remained unaffected by his victory; they weren’t close after all. Only Chor Kwong Laan, Kam Chin-Kee and a few of his other friends clapped. Mung Si wore a complicated look before sighing.

As for Woo Hung, he gritted his teeth in anger. The better Chui Yim performed, the greater his hatred! This increased his determination to win the segment he was participating in!

Lam Zaa watched this with a thin smile, while Yam Chui Ying couldn’t help but admire Chui Yim’s ability. “Your Highness, Chui Yim is indeed a skilled blacksmith.”

“Yep,” Lam Zaa smiled and nodded to hear Yam Chui Ying praising someone he once looked down on. “He’s great. I indeed thought too lightly of him. But at the end of the day, he’s still a blacksmith.”

Lam Zaa had never valued him, no matter how outstanding and powerful Chui Yim was. Just like he mentioned, Chui Yim was just a blacksmith at the end of the day, while he was the crown prince who would control the South in the future. Thus, why would he cry over the loss of one Chui Yim? After his journey to the Citrine Ghost Lake, he had once more become the confident and intelligent crown prince.

He had all the power and status he needed, so Chui Yim was like the cherry on top of a cake for him.

Of course, Chui Yim knew nothing of Lam Zaa’s view towards him. He was currently receiving the Divine Bracelet of Five Elements from Fung Seung, who looked very reluctant. The bracelet seemed poorly made and looked nothing like a legendary item, but the moment he received it, he felt at ease immediately. This caught Chui Yim’s attention, but he knew he shouldn’t explore it in front of everybody.

With a nod, he stepped down calmly.

“Brother Chui, can I consult you in forging next time?” Chai Fook Sau was full of admiration, and unlike Kiu Chi Gong, he didn’t feel embarrassed to learn from a teenager younger than him. After all, the most knowledgeable one was the teacher, age was irrelevant.

Chui Yim’s skills had convinced him totally, and Chai Fook Sau secretly felt that even his master couldn’t forge a grade one weapon that could destroy a grade two gliph weapon. But don’t get him wrong; he wasn’t thinking of betraying his master. He only hoped to progress further in forging.

Yau Suet Chung, at the side, was filled with admiration despite feeling unhappy over losing.

“Me too!”

“Do you think I’m a charity? I’ll only consider it if you pay school fees!” Chui Yim yelled after seeing how excited they looked and left, leaving them in a daze. Yau Suet Chung exchanged glances with Chai Fook Sau, in surprise that the previously patient teacher had vanished! However, they didn’t know that the only thing on Chui Yim’s mind was knowing more about the bracelet, and he didn’t want to waste time chatting with them.

At the same time, Sze Fung stood up. “This marks the end of the foreign segment. The representative from the Cloud Palace Outer Sect has won. The upcoming segment tomorrow is Alchemy. We will meet again tomorrow.”

Chui Yim and Kam Chin Kee immediately left for their residence. After a short chat with Kam Chin-Kee, He headed into his room to inspect the Divine Bracelet of Five Elements.

Chui Yim took out the bracelet and placed it in front of the candle that lit up his room at night. It looked so ordinary that he even suspected Fung Seung had swapped the bracelet for a fake. But the feeling he felt at Metallic Blood War Gate made him put it on.

Instantly, he felt a weird feeling. Chui Yim’s eyes shone. It definitely wasn’t ordinary. He focused on the bracelet and only stopped after a long time.

It worked similarly to the mysterious black cushion but was slightly different. There were three unique characteristics to this bracelet. Firstly, it had a shockingly large storage space. The space jade from the old fox Ping Chi already shocked him, and it was obvious that only someone like Ping Chi would own it.

But this bracelet had ten times the storage space! Secondly, it improved the user’s mental strength. A direct improvement could be seen, as Chui Yim could usually only produce three or four gliph strings, but he could produce five or six now! It was insane.

Gliphists would definitely go crazy for this!

Luckily, the bracelet was rare, and Fung Seung was a glipher, so he wouldn’t have been able to sense the changes to his mental strength.

 Lastly, it was extremely nurturing.
