Behind the disciples were countless weapons racks; knives, spears, swords, and rods…they had anything one could think of at the arena!

The Metallic Blood War Gate had always played an important role in the Bloody War Frontier.

Because gliphers’ potential showed way before gliphists, two-chambered gliphers made up the main force at Bloody War Frontier, so the Metallic Blood War Gate that produced gliphers was the South’s largest training camp. Chor Shing Chit was similarly from the Metallic Blood War Gate as well.

Since the Metallic Blood War Gate disciples mostly joined the war at the Bloody War Frontier, all of their teachers were surviving soldiers that brought their great experience back to the next generation. Separating the cream of the crop, the experience taught by the teachers of Metalic Blood War Gate was the essence of their teachings.

The Metallic Blood War Gate was the best among the Big Three regarding pure battle skills.

The institution’s strength could be seen from their disciples that emitted a strong aura as if a huge army despite only standing outside the arena. Besides making several other disciples tremble, it’s also made their hearts race!

A blood-coloured tower pierced the clouds right in front of the arena. It symbolised the Metallic Blood War Gate, the source of their pride and spirit.

The Metallic Blood Giant Tower.

It was a treasure handed down by an influential cultivator in the far past, and nobody knew if it was a treasure or gliph weapon. All that was known was that it was ranked way higher than Great Book Academy’s Heaven Control Book.

This tower had given birth to countless incredible gliphers and was the symbol as well as spirit of the institution. There was even a rumour in the North and the South that you only had to insult the tower to anger a Metallic Blood War Gate disciple. Therefore, Northerners normally addressed the tower as the Metallic Tortoise and the Metallic Blood War Gate disciples would indeed flare up if they heard it.

When the younger generation stood in front of the tower, they greatly respected it and even felt the urge to worship it. Even four-chambered or hundred-gliphic state cultivators like Grandma Chin Shu and the Old Star Reacher faced it respectfully.

If the tower was a treasure that could be fully utilised during battles, none of the Big Three would be able to suppress this institution anymore.

Between the arena and the tower entrance stood a flight of stairs about five meters tall. There was also a row of stone benches on the steps.

In the middle stood an arrogant figure. He had snow-white hair and the pink cheeks of a middle-aged man. However, those who knew him knew he was a hundred years old.

It was Sze Fung! A current Metallic Blood War Gate disciple and the Blood Dragon Fairy’s eldest disciple. His strength was unknown, but it was said that he had challenged Chor Huet Zhin about twenty years ago, ending with him entering seclusion while Chor Huet Zhin continued his normal life. The results weren’t disclosed, but their different actions showed who won.

Whenever Chor Huet Zhin was asked what had happened, all he said was that he was “lucky.”

Chor Clan members were known to be men of few words who spoke honestly. Even Chor Huet Zhin was the same despite being the clan’s rare sly fox. His reply showed that Sze Fung could threaten him even though Chor Huet Zhin’s reply might be out of courtesy.

With that, Sze Fung’s reputation obviously grew. There were even rumours that Sze Fung was in seclusion to create a new gliphility when Chor Huet Zhin passed away. He was informed of the latter’s death when he succeeded and got ready to challenge him again. Afterwards, he locked himself in his room for half a month.

Sze Fung stood there, with his fierce aura diffusing outwards. What was worse was that the surrounding disciples seemed to share the same aura with him, making the situation scarier, and even Grandma Chin Shu and Old Star Reacher’s faces fell.

Well, this was Metallic Blood War Gate’s show of strength.

The Big Three took turns to host the interschool exchange, and besides winning the contest, it was more important for the institution to show its strength, as that would help them publicise and grow their reputation. This was common sense.

The only unaffected guests were Woo Nim and Cheuk Kwun. The former looked as serious and focused as always, while Cheuk Kwun yawned lazily and looked around like he was exhausted despite the fierce aura.

Sze Fung watched the disciples as his eyes shone. He withheld his aura as he wore a smile on his face. “Dear institution representatives, I cordially welcome you to our Metallic Blood War Gate. Please take a seat, my noble guests.”

Feeling the aura disperse, Gradman Chin Shu and the Old Star Reacher sneered, appearing right next to Sze Fung to take a seat. Sze Fung didn’t mind their attitude, as he had stolen an advantage after all.

As Grandma Chin Shu and the Old Star Reacher took their seats, Fa Siu Siu from the School of Blossom, Mute from Apex Temple, Feng Seung from the Blacksmith Academy…the remaining important figures took their seats. Only the disciples were left in the arena when all the institution representatives took their seats. Sze Fung then smiled gently.

“Greetings, the elites of the new generation! Every single one of you here is undoubtedly the best among your peers, which is why you are here. To qualify for this exchange, each of you is one in a thousand…no, one in ten thousand!”

Sze Fung spoke happily with his low voice as if he was reciting facts, making the disciples proud to hear his words. “

“However──This isn’t enough.”

Sze Fung changed his tone. “Gliphers have gliphs carved in them to use the energy of heaven and earth, similar to gliphists who turn energliph into gliphs. The path of cultivation is to go against the heavens. This exchange will be one of the many battles you are destined for, maybe the first battle for some of you.

“But I dare say that no matter what, it will definitely be your most memorable battle. Give it your all like the blazing sun in the sky. Remember, only the best will be remembered. The losers are destined to be forgotten.”

Sze Fung’s voice grew cold, similar to the teenager’s faces. They were filled with the intent to fight.

They might be geniuses amongst geniuses, but there could be only one winner.

“I represent the Metallic Blood War Gate and announce that the exchange has officially begun!”
