“That was fast, huh?”

Man Yee Ho and Yeung Tin Hun opened their eyes at the same time. They exchanged glances and felt the special chemistry between them.

The next moment, the tent was sliced apart by a large knife from nowhere.

Yeung Tin Hun picked up his spear that shone brightly in the dark tent. His weapon clashed against the knife, symbolising the start of a chaotic night.

Outside the tent were six men in a snowflake formation drawing gliphs, but eerily enough, no energliph movement could be felt.

The drawings formed a giant, white gliph in the shape of a snowflake. Yu-Man Lung and Cheng Hak watched the gliph encase the tent with gazes frostier than snow. It was their tribe’s signature gliph, Snowflake Sacrifice.

Snowflake Sacrifice was a support-attributed gliph that was void of any offensive powers. Legends had it that this gliph was what had saved their ancestors in the past. The gliph’s strength lay in its ability to hide auras. Supposedly that was what their ancestors did, hiding thousands of their tribesmen’s auras with the gliph.

The Snowflake Sacrifice gliph was also the tribe’s defensive gliph formation. It would activate if they were attacked, hiding all their tribe members within it and allowing them to ambush their enemy without notice.

Now, the six gliphists were forming a miniature version of their signature gliph to camouflage the fight that was about to take place. If Yu-Man Chong were to find out, he’d certainly intervene immediately.

Under the effects of the gliph and the beauty distracting his father, they’d have enough time to kill the two youngsters before anyone noticed!

Yeung Tin Hun and Man Yee Ho never expected the old tribemaster to save them anyways. They only believed in themselves and were taken aback to see the men they were up against.

We were prepared to give our all, yet these are the people you send?

Despite going against mere one-chambered gliphers, they didn’t go easy on the enemy. Yeung Tin Hun was ready to attack despite just blocking the huge knife. It was the same for Man Yee Ho, who faced the one-chambered state gliphers approaching him with a stoic look.

Clank! Suddenly, a gliph shield appeared.

The energliph shield dissipated, but not before forcing the glipher two steps back. Man Yee Ho grabbed the air, energliph congealing and taking shape.

A bow made of light appeared in his hands. He drew the energliph bowstring with his right hand while simultaneously conjuring  an arrow.

Whoosh! The arrow flew rapidly, creating a bloody hole between the glipher’s eyes that reflected disbelief—a terrifying sight.

Man Yee Ho was too occupied with his swift counterattack to pay attention to his comrade-in-arms. Yeung Tin Hun moved swiftly, his left hand forming a claw. The glipher he was fighting wanted to fall back, but this claw rendered him helpless as it seemed to follow him wherever he went. In truth, the moment Yeung Tin Hun formed this claw, he had already switched between moves twelve times. He had completely sealed off all escape routes; the glipher had no way out no matter how hard he tried.

In no time, the glipher died as his neck was snapped, leaving behind a corpse with a terrorised look.

The two kills were only spaced apart by mere seconds. Both of them were surprised at each other’s speed, but neither showed it on their face, only nodding at each other while maintaining their stance.

The wind that blew into their tent made Yeung Tin Hun’s thin belt dance like his tail in the wind. He was standing upright with the spear in hand, while Man Yee Ho remained low-key as always, in contrast to his striking red robe.

Man Yee Ho clenched and released his fist to relax his fingers; this was how he slackened his body during the hellish training sessions he had. Because of his dedicated training and skill, he could fight like a peak one-chambered glipher before even breaking through.

Neither of them left the tent. They were no ordinary cultivators and could feel the strong, murderous intent outside.

It would definitely be more dangerous for them to step out of the tent. The other party would not send one-chambered gliphers in to fight them without reason.  Now that they had killed the first few, it was time to fight the enemy’s main force.

“That was fast. Indeed the Four Season Mountain’s young master.” Yu-Man Lung raised a brow but wasn’t surprised by this outcome. After all, he had a taste of Yeung Tin Hun’s strength first-hand, and beneath his calm facade was the coward that dared not to face the spearman alone.

The thought of this and Four Season Mountain made Yu-Man Lung hate them even more. What made things worse was that he didn’t have enough men.

The six gliphist who set up the Snowflake Sacrifice formation couldn’t fight, and he was now left with two one-chambered gliphers, two two-chambered gliphers, and his ace, the three-chambered glipher Cheng Hak.

So what if they can take down those a rank above them? They can’t defeat Cheng Hak who’s two ranks above, right?

“Go, bring me their corpses. May our ancestors be with you all,” Yu-Man Lung ordered.

The gliphers were filled with courage upon hearing him. “May our ancestors be with us all!”

With that, they dashed into the tent. This time, Yeung Tin Hun and Man Yee Ho struck even quicker.

Yeung Tin Hun moved immediately upon hearing the approaching hostiles. He waved his spear in the air, his shiny belt complementing the shimmer.

The cultivators immediately felt a sharp aura envelop them. Yeung Tin Hun was feigning passivity to lure the assailants in;he struck ferociously to take them by surprise once they entered.

Feeling death looming, the Heaven Sacrifice Tribe members growled and fought back with their most powerful gliphilities. They weren’t like the one-chambered gliphers earlier, after all. Their cultivation and strength were a whole rank higher than Yeung Tin Hun.

The first man to enter was a bulky cultivator with a grade-one gliph axe in his hands. He yelled as energliph surged into his right hand. His right arm grew even more muscular, with brown fur growing from his arms.

With just a glance, Yeung Tin Hun could immediately identify the gliph tattooed on him.
