“Why are you spacing out?” A deep voice cut through the silence

Yeung Tin Hun replied without looking down. “Can’t you let me take a short break?”

“Short break? Alright.”

His reply made Yeung Tin Hun turn around in shock. “Huh?”

A muscular man was standing in front of him. Unwavering and reliable, his pair of bushy eyebrows and poise felt like nothing could make him frown.

“The Imperial Sunset Palace announced that Man Chin Hung’s direct disciple has already left for the South. Adapting the Cloud Palace’s style, he will walk to South Imperial City himself. It’s dangerous, but also a great experience. The route down South is dangerous and his journey was announced, which might result in many assassins waiting for him. Due to Man Chin Hung’s disciple’s background and Imperial Sunset Palace’s standing, those that try to attack him will not be that powerful.

“As for you, get ready to leave for the South too.”

“By foot?” Yeung Tin Hun cried. “How long would it take?”

“Half a year if everything goes well? Just get there before Cloud Palace’s enrollment,” Yeung Ha replied coldly, in contrast to the happiness he was actually feeling. He realised that he had no way to teach his son, and every time he acted like a strict father; the smart boy would either seek help from his uncles or his mother, leaving Yeung Ha unable to do much.

I’ll let him grow through experiences since I can’t teach him. The more Yeung Ha thought about it, the more satisfied he was. As for the dangerous trip… Since when was cultivating, an act of going against the heavens, not dangerous? When I was still a one-chambered fighter, I was already fighting Southern soldiers at the Bloody War Frontier!

With that, Yeung Ha left happily, leaving the stunned Yeung Tin Hun behind.

Did he just send me away? That damned direct disciple from the Imperial Sunset Palace! You better not let me find you! Yeung Tin Hun felt more irritated as he thought of it.

Night fell. Besides the nightlife of South Imperial City and the red-light district, it was relatively peaceful at night.

The same went for Chui Yim’s residence.

His residence had a great view of the Wandering Son’s Lake and was a great spot for those who wanted a peaceful life away from the bustling city. However, most who lived in the city disliked a quiet life.

South Imperial City was the centre of Southern authority. Spoiled children and clan disciples were night owls that enjoyed the nightlife and would rather not live away from the bustling city. They would move out of South Imperial City if they wanted a quiet life. Be it Snow Stellar or Holok, both cities were definitely quieter than South Imperial City.

Most South Imperial City residents loved the busy life, which was why Chui Yim could afford such a huge residence in an expensive city; it was in a deserted area that wasn’t near many residences or shops.

It was a troublesome place for most, but convenient to those with malicious intentions.

A man stood on the fence quietly. His footsteps were so light that nobody could hear him.

The man wasn’t a nobody; he was a famous person not many knew of, and anyone who saw his face always ended on a one-way trip to hell. It was the famous assassin, Silent Cat.

Silent Cat was the name he gave himself. To be exact, he was a Northerner.

He had the Three-Eyed Spiritual Cat gliph tattooed on both leg chambers and the Moonwalk gliph on another chamber, a gliph inspired by the three-eyed spiritual cat. It helped Silent Cat move silently, but it also came with various uses and buffs, which made him a famous assassin. To him, hiring him for a teen who had yet to break through his innate chamber was like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

You’re the one to be blamed for offending someone you shouldn’t have.

Whoosh. Silently, he disappeared from the fence, appearing in the residence.

Far away in Southern Ping, Mo-Yung Yin, in his white robe, was holding a medical book with a complex expression. At the same time, a voice rang out from outside.

“Master, you called for me?”

“Come in.”

The door creaked open, welcoming the Mo-Yung clan’s youngest genius. He was the disciple of the Divine Doctor, as well as the person forbidden to leave Southern Ping for three years by Lam Zaa, Mo-Yung Kit. He greeted Mo-Yung Yin as he entered. “Greetings, master.”

“Have you read the book old man Ping wrote?” Mo-Yung Yin shook his head and placed the book on the table.

“Sealing Gliphs and Mending Chambers, right?” Mo-Yung Kit wore a serious expression.

Mo-Yung Yin nodded and sighed. “Ping Chi is no doubt the expert in this area. He has now researched how to mend all six chambers by sealing one’s energliph. This book is destined to be a legendary book in medicinal history.”

However, Mo-Yung Kit had a complicated look, which consisted mainly of jealousy and hatred. “At the end of the book, it mentioned that it was his direct disciple who inspired him.”

“That Chui boy, huh?” Mo-Yung Yin laughed and shook his head. “He’s on the next level. South Imperial City is a mess thanks to him, and I have no idea how he got that special quota for the Cloud Palace’s outer sect.”

“If you weren’t grounded, you’d be there too!” He huffed and glared at Mo-Yung Kit.

“It’s this disciple’s fault.” Mo-Yung Kit immediately bowed before looking up. “Master, is there really no way to deal with Chui Yim?”

Mo-Yung Yin sneered in response. He had paid a hefty price to bring the Outstanding Talent Competition forward, only for his plan to be ruined by Chui Yim. Mo-Yung Yin detested him.

“Tonight should be his last night. I mentioned that I have many connections in South Imperial City, and I employed Silent Cat.”

“Silent Cat?” Mo-Yung Kit’s face fell. He was an amazing assassin with countless assassinations under his belt. He was known to have killed a gliphist who was nearly in the hundred-gliphic state! A ten-gliphic state gliphist possessed strength equivalent to three-chambered gliphers. Strictly speaking, a half-step hundred-gliphic state gliphist should be as powerful as four-chambered gliphers who used their gliphilities when using his personal gliph.

Even so, Silent Cat managed to assassinate the gliphist. Silent Cat wasn’t the best in a direct fight, but assassination was his greatest strength!

The thought of this put a frown on Mo-Yung Kit’s face. “But the Chor Clan’s young master follows him closely… Even Silent Cat might not be able to get close to him.”

The Chor Clan’s rod skills were famous for defeating those of the same rank.

“That kid moved out of the Chor mansion, and he’s currently living alone. There’s nobody to protect him now. Maybe he can’t wait to die.” Mo-Yung Yin laughed.

This put a smile on Mo-Yung Kit’s face. “Great! It’s finally that bastard’s death day.”

“Don’t focus so much on a dead person.” Mo-Yung Yin looked at his disciple. “As my disciple, I have high hopes for you. You must reach the grandmaster rank at the very least in the future.”

“I’ll definitely succeed, master,” Mo-Yung Kit replied politely.

“Good.” Mo-Yung Yin waved his hands in satisfaction.
