Relief washed over Mo-Yung Yin when he saw how glad Mo-Yung Kit was to hear the news. Besides Chui Yim being Doctor Odd’s direct disciple and ruining his plan to control Southern Ping, Mo-Yung Kit was the main reason behind his actions.

Mo-Yung Kit himself might have overlooked it, but after the competition where he lost twice to Chui Yim, Chui Yim had become an inner devil in his heart that he couldn’t overcome, which affected his confidence and resulted in him doubting his own skills.

As long as Chui Yim was alive, Mo-Yung Kit would never succeed.

Looking up at the moon, Mo-Yung Yin sighed, repeating Silent Cat’s words. “You’re the one to be blamed for offending someone you shouldn’t have.”

Silent Cat landed in the courtyard like a leaf, not making even the slightest noise. He was a three-chambered glipher, and his third chamber was his heart chamber.

With a pair of powerful legs and the boost his heart chamber gave him, he could move at lightning speed like a ghost. He glanced at the courtyard around him, which made him depressed.

He knew about what had happened to the spies a few days ago. Even though Silent Cat was no expert in mechanisms, as an assassin, he kept his guard up as he moved toward the bedroom, dodging a few traps on the way.

Thud.

Silent Cat’s heart fell instantly. He felt like he had just stepped on something. An ordinary-looking flower turned toward him as if it was sentient, and poisonous gas sprayed into his face. He fell back, immediately feeling the poison seep into his body as he circulated his energliph to resist the poison.

As the poison spread throughout his body, he felt strength leaving his body and his energliph circulation became more difficult. However, that was all. The poison was just golden aroma dissolved tendon powder that worked only on cultivators below the three-chambered rank.

This placed a smile on Silent Cat’s face as he felt increasingly confident. With that, he slowly approached the bedroom.

Yeung Chun was wiping down the chairs diligently. He nodded satisfactorily and moved on to the next chair after the dark wood chair shone brightly.

The past few days were good for him. He was earning more than in his previous job and was also provided with lodging and food. Moreover, he had a lot of time to himself as Chui Yim let him go after completing his work for the day.

He spent his free time wandering around South Imperial City, which was no smaller and more interesting than Four Seasons Mountain. He led an fulfilling life these days, motivating him to work harder. Yeung Chun cleaned the chairs happily while thinking about his younger brothers, who always worried he’d be cheated in disdain.

It must be due to the Northerners being too unyielding! I was constantly sacked at the start, but I eventually found someone who treats me well. What a great place!

“Eh?” Yeung Chun spotted a man walking on his toes towards the bedroom.

Why is there someone here? Is he a thief? The thought of this made Yeung Chun anxious. How dare you? I’m the housekeeper here!

With that, he made his move.

Silent Cat wasn’t far away from the bedroom. He might be confident, but he wasn’t careless. As an assassin, carelessness could cost him his life. He’d do his best even against an easy target.

The closer he got to the bedroom, the more careful he was. Suddenly, a whistle rang out. Silent Cat’s heart fell as he looked up subconsciously.

There was a ray of red light in the air closing onto him rapidly!

Silent Cat’s blood ran cold when he took a closer look. That’s no red light; it’s a freaking meteorite!

“Damn it! Where the hell did that come from?” Silent Cat cursed as he activated all his energliph and turned into a phantom ball to flee from the place.

Boom!

A strong heat wave surged towards Silent Cat. Subconsciously, he turned around to discover that there was a sea of red right in front of him. The peaceful Wandering Son’s Lake was replaced by flames. The residences next to the Wandering Son’s Lake were also nowhere to be found. There was only a gigantic mushroom cloud in front of him as thick black clouds filled the sky.

It was as if the end of the world had arrived. Silent Cat, the powerful assassin, stood rooted to the ground. Suddenly, he felt a breeze which sent chills down his body.

The breeze coated him with a light mist, a familiar feeling for those who resided near the Wandering Son’s Lake due to the occasional breezes that brought water vapour from the lake. However, the lake wasn’t there. He trembled as the scenery in front of him changed instantly.

The meteorite and sea of flames was nowhere to be seen,  while the Wandering Son’s Lake regained its original peace. The residence was where it originally was as well. Despite bearing the form of a peaceful lake, Silent Cat now saw it as a horrifying beast.

He broke into cold sweat immediately. He wouldn’t be the famous killer if he didn’t realise that the other party had him. When? Was it the poison from the flower?

But he didn’t have any time to ponder as he dashed out of the residence, screaming to himself in his heart. Run! I have to escape this residence and run as far as possible.

As Silent Cat scuttered away, Yeung Chun, who was in the residence, finally stopped what he was doing.

“Go as far as you can and never return.” With a smile, he mumbled to himself and went back to work, wiping the table until it shone.

It was just a peaceful night for Chui Yim.

When he woke up to see that one of the mechanisms was activated, he was weirded out.

“Maybe he was injured after activating the trap and escaped. Such a pity, I could have earned some money if he had stayed.” But after asking Yeung Chun, who said he didn’t see anybody, Chui Yim left happily.

Trying to get something from me? Dream on.

Chui Yim arrived at the Cloud Palace’s Outer Sect for Mister Cheuk’s lesson, but he couldn’t pay attention. Even though Kam Chin Kee felt he was acting weird, he didn’t say anything.

In the blink of an eye, Mister Cheuk’s lesson ended. Rather than teaching from a textbook, he was there to answer their doubts, which was always interesting for the students.

After Suet Sing Fuk learnt to use energliph before breaking through his innate chamber, the class became increasingly respectful towards Mister Cheuk.

Before the lesson ended, Mister Cheuk reminded them, “There will be a special class next Friday. Please come prepared.”
