Tara could only shake her head. Anya didn't want to listen to her at all. She also didn't want to believe all her words. What else could she do?
"I'm here to drive. Let me take you," Tara said.
"No need. Your clinic must be busy. I can go alone. Thank you for visiting me. I feel much better." Anya thought for a moment and felt that last night wasn't Tara's fault.
Nobody would dare to go against Aiden.
"I am hungry. Don't you want to accompany me to eat first? " Tara said. When she entered the house earlier, she could already smell Hana's cooking. How could she come home without eating first?
Anya looked at Tara shaking her head. Nobody could go against Tara when it came to eating. "Then, eat first before going home. Aiden isn't home after all."
Hana's voice was suddenly heard from outside. "Anya, lunch is ready."
"Let's go down," Anya said.
Today, Hana had prepared various meals for Anya. Seeing Anya's bad mood yesterday, she wanted to do something to cheer her up again.
Unfortunately, Anya had no appetite that day.
Meanwhile, Hana was tasked with reporting all of Anya's activities to Aiden. "Sir, your wife has no appetite. and also, earlier I heard from behind the door that Anya wanted to sell her house," Hana whispered.
"Hmm... Tell Abdi to take her," Aiden replied.
"Sir, don't you care?" Hana sounded irritated. She guessed that Anya wanted to sell her house to divorce Aiden.
"Let her sell it, I'll buy her a new one," Aiden said indifferently.
"But…"
"I know…" Aiden hung up and looked coldly at everyone in the meeting room. "Continue the meeting."
Nico smiled when he saw Aiden pick up the phone. Everyone sitting in the room were the senior leaders of the Atmajaya Group. While they were discussing an important issue, Aiden suddenly received a call.
Nico thought it was an important call, but it turned out that Aiden was listening to a report from Hana about Anya's lunch and what she was going to do!
Never once had he seen his uncle like this!
After the meeting ended, Aiden and Harris immediately left the room, while Nico stayed behind and listened to the gossip.
"Guess who scratched Mr. Aiden's face?"
"Must be a woman!"
"Mr. Aiden's girlfriend? Mr. Aiden's face looked tired today. Looks like he didn't sleep all night."
"How lucky! He said that Mr. Aiden's lover is the most beautiful woman on campus."
"No wonder he canceled his engagement to Natali Tedjasukmana. That woman looks cunning!"
"But he said he would not bring his lover to Mr. Bima's birthday."
"Ha ha ha… Of course! Women like that are just for fun, not to be introduced to the family."
"But Mr. Aiden always does the unexpected. We better see."
After hearing this, Nico immediately chased Aiden into his study.
"Are you free of work?" Aiden asked with a cold gaze.
"Uncle, how are you and Auntie? Are you all better?" Nico replied.
Aiden only glanced at him and replied indifferently. "No need to talk about my problems."
"I don't understand. Why don't you tell me all the things you've done for her? Isn't the garden out of the planning? Then just return the agreement letter to Auntie. That way, she won't suspect you anymore," Nico said.
"Mr. Nico, even if the letter is returned to her now, she will not believe it," Harris said.
"Is your mother busy?" Aiden suddenly asked.
Nico's eyes lit up and he answered with a smile. "Ah! I know what I have to do."
"Hmm ... I'll give you additional time off when you do it," Aiden replied.
"Is it true? But won't you be even busier, Uncle?" Nico was conflicted whether he had to be happy or worried.
"I'll be working late at the office," Aiden said calmly.
"Okay. Thank you Uncle! I'll call mom right away!" Nico turned and ran away because he was afraid Aiden would change his mind.
…
After lunch, Tara immediately returned to her clinic.
Anya rode her bicycle to contact the house seller intermediary. She couldn't charge a high price for her house because the area was neither good nor safe. Even though there was a garden in her house, it was too small to bring any profit.
The residential area was also very noisy and the drains often got clogged. In the rainy season, their house was often flooded and many animals entered the house.
Anya and her mother lived in that house all this time because they didn't have money to buy a nicer house.
If they sold this house, they wouldn't even have a place to live anymore.
After contacting the real estate agent, Anya went to the flower shop near the bus stop to leave the spare key to her house. The flower shop was her regular shop, as well as the place where she usually left her bicycle.
"Auntie, can I leave my house keys with you? Who knows if there are potential buyers who want to see the condition inside."
"Anya, why did you sell your house? When your mother is discharged from the hospital, where will you live?" asked the florist anxiously.
She had known Anya and her mother for a long time. Plus, the florist aunt was a regular customer and always bought Anya's flowers.
"I sold it to pay for hospital bills. I'm going to work, Aunt. When I have money, I will build a simple house in my mother's garden. That way, I can work every day," Anya said.
The florist's eyes turned red at Anya's hard work. "I don't have much money, but I can give you this. Take it first. Think of it as a down payment for the purchase of flowers on Christmas day," she said, handing her several bills.
"Christmas day is still long. I also haven't planted flowers in the garden." Anya felt bad taking the money.
"It's okay. You can pay next time," the aunt insisted and immediately put the money in Anya's bag. "Just accept it and leave your house key to me. If anyone wants to see your house, I will take them personally."
"Thank you very much, Auntie." Anya said gratefully.
"You're welcome. No need to worry. Everything will be alright," she said, trying to entertain Anya.
Anya then said a sad goodbye. After that, she decided to return to her house to pack all of her mother's belongings. She called Esther on her way. "Mrs. Esther, I'll be back to work tomorrow."
"Don't worry about work. Your mother is in critical times. Just accompany your mother," Esther said.
"I have to pay for the hospital fees. Please help me accept special perfume orders," Anya replied.
"Anya, I have savings. If you need…"
"Mrs. Esther, thank you. I'm alright now. I will let you know if I need help," Anya felt very grateful when she knew that many people were willing to help her when she needed it.
"Take good care of your mother. There's no need to rush to work. I'll help you take special perfume orders. If you have inspiration, don't hesitate to discuss it with me," Esther said.
"OK. I will go home and visit my mother first," said Anya.
"I hope your mother gets better soon. I'll help you choose customers, but remember don't make perfume just because you need money. To become a parfumeur is not easy. Don't ruin your chances," Esther suggested.
