"Good afternoon, Ma'am," said Ellena when she just arrived home and found her mother busy serving the food menu on the dining table.

"Good afternoon. Did you guys just get home?" Briana replied who had turned her gaze to Ellena and Lucas who seemed to be walking towards her.

"Yes, Ma'am," replied Ellena, kissing her mother's hand. After that Lucas did the same.

"You must be very tired. Hurry up and take a shower. After that, we'll have dinner together," said Briana.

"Okay Ma'am." Ellena seemed to flash a smile. It seems that today he looks very happy, for some reason.

"Ma'am, just let Joana do all that. Ma'am just relax at home, don't be too tired," Lucas reminded, before he decided to leave the room.

"It's okay. It's just a light job." Briana replied, smiling happily. Of course she was happy to have a son-in-law who was kind and very considerate of him.

"Yes, we'll excuse ourselves, Ma'am."

Lucas was a little sorry for always failing to remind his mother-in-law to stop doing house work. I don't know how else to do it.

Lucas just shook his head slowly, then left the room with Ellena. They walk side by side. Ellena in the front, while Lucas trailed behind.

"Dear."

Lucas immediately rushed to hug Ellena's body from behind, when they just entered the room and the door to the room was closed.

Ellena's steps suddenly stopped and her hands immediately caught Lucas's which were already wrapped around her stomach. Willing to let go. However, it turned out that the husband's hand was too strong to just get rid of it.

"Lucas, I'm hot and will take a shower," complained Ellena as she looked back slightly.

"Don't you miss me? Today I really miss you, Honey," Lucas replied with his chin resting on his wife's right shoulder.

"Come on, Lucas ... didn't we spend a lot of time together?" Ellena whined trying to persuade her husband to let go of her hand.

"No!" Lucas shook his head and squeezed his hand tighter.

Just as Ellena was about to respond, Lucas' cell phone suddenly rang asking for attention. Quickly, Lucas immediately reached into the pocket of the black pants he was wearing, took the cellphone out of it, without letting go of the hand that was still wrapped around his wife's stomach.

"Yes, Mommy," Lucas said to someone on the other end who was certain to be his mother.

Meanwhile, Ellena just kept quiet and watched her husband speak.

"Okay, Mom. Bye." Lucas replied, before ending the conversation.

"Mommy?" asked Ellena to reconfirm her guess, after Lucas put the phone back where it belonged. Now the man was propping his chin back on his wife's shoulder.

"Yeah." Lucas answered simply.

"What is it?" Ellena wore a curious expression.

"Tonight, Mommy will stay at our house." Lucas answered by slightly curling his lips into a smile.

Meanwhile, Ellena only responded with a nod.

"Okay, now let go of your hand." Ellena pleaded again.

Instead of agreeing, Lucas turned Ellena to face him, then wrapped his arms around her waist again.

He stared at his wife's face intensely, even with Ellena who also did the same thing. Their gazes locked for a moment and ended when Lucas smiled.

"Today you look very cheerful. Did something or someone make you happy?" Lucas seemed to confirm his suspicions, because he had seen Ellena who seemed to be smiling to herself.

"Hm ... of course I'm happy. Didn't I tell you, that the cake shop is very crowded today?" replied Elena with a grin.

"Oh yes?" Lucas raised his eyebrows with a grin on his face. Of course he was also happy to hear all that.

"Yes," answered Ellena curtly, nodding slowly a few times.

"Hm ... Honey, how about we find a pastry chef?" Lucas asked a little doubtfully.

"What for?" Ellena's expression immediately turned sour.

"To help you at the cake shop." Lucas explained, starting to worry about Ellena's health.

"Then what would I do if we had a pastry chef?" protested Ellena trying to politely refuse.

"You're just a shop manager. For heavy work, let the employees do the work." Lucas replied as he removed his hand from his wife's waist. His right hand then moved, mimicking his tone of voice.

"I don't agree!" Ellena folded her arms in front of her chest, pursed her lips, then looked away.

"Honey, it's for your own good." Lucas coaxed, holding his wife's shoulder.

Ellena sighed, before responding to Lucas. "Later, when I am no longer able to do it myself, I will definitely follow your advice, but not for now."

Feeling at his wits end to persuade his wife, Lucas snorted a little harshly. What's more he didn't want to prolong the debate between them.

"Okay, but don't be like that. Stay healthy and don't forget to eat!" Lucas warned as he gently stroked Ellena's hair.

A happy grin appeared on Ellena's face again. Finally, Lucas could understand with her explanation. He didn't think that Lucas would give up so easily.

"Thank you, you understand me, Lucas." Ellena whispered later.

"As long as you're happy, I'll do anything, but promise me what I said earlier and tell me when you're tired of doing everything," Lucas replied as he looked seriously at the woman's face in front of him.

"I promise. Swear!" Ellena exclaimed as she raised her index and middle fingers in a "V" shape.

"Okay, I trust you." Lucas said as he pinched Ellena's nose so passionately it made her look like she was in pain.

"Ow, Lucas. My nose hurts!" Ellena screamed as she reached and tried to get rid of Lucas' hand which was still pinching her nose.

"Ha ha ha. Sorry, Honey." Lucas seemed to gently caress Ellena's nose. "Still sick?" He asked for sure and again only answered with a shake of his head by Ellena.

"Lucas, there was one visitor to the cake shop who was very beautiful," Ellena told her husband.

Hearing this, Lucas frowned in surprise. "Then?" he asked in a slightly slow tone. In fact, he was not at all curious about the figure his wife was talking about.

"I don't know why I immediately liked that woman. Besides being beautiful, she was also kind. She even invited me to chat, asking questions about the cake-making process." Ellena explained, recalling the look on the woman's face.

"Don't overdo it and immediately trust other people, especially strangers. These days, there are lots of two-faced people. Even in front of us they look good, but they have a very bad heart. You have to be careful, honey."

Again Lucas warned his wife. Of course because he didn't want Ellena to be tricked by a two-faced human.

"But I-"

"Never mind, don't talk about it again." Lucas concluded, feeling unimportant with Ellena's discussion this time. "You better take a shower now, before Mommy comes." Lucas said later.

"Okay." Ellena wore a disappointed expression, because Lucas didn't want to hear her story. After that he went to the bathroom to perform the ritual of cleansing the body.

"Who exactly was the woman who met him that he was that enthusiastic?" Lucas whispered as Ellena entered the bathroom.

Not wanting to think too much about unimportant things, Lucas chose to throw his body on the bed. Lying on his back, staring at the ceiling.

There were many things he was thinking about right now, one of which was about the agreement. How to get Ellena willing to end the agreement. The other thing is about Michelle who keeps trying to chase after him, somehow he's avoiding her again. These two issues had really bothered him the past few days.

After a while Ellena seemed to come out of the bathroom.

"Are you done?" Lucas asked, looking over at Ellena.

"Got it. Hurry up and take a shower, it's getting late," said Ellena, who immediately got a positive response from her husband.

He immediately got up and went to the bathroom. Meanwhile, Ellena seemed to be walking towards the dressing table.

Precisely. After Ellena and Lucas finished bathing. Lucas' parents also came. Of course they warmly welcomed Veronica and Albert, who had not been to the house in a long time.

Now they seemed to be standing in front of the door, waiting for Veronica and Albert who seemed to be walking towards them, after getting out of the car

"Mommy, Daddy, how are you?" Lucas rushed to hug Albert, then Veronica in turn, after his parents were not far from him.

"We're fine. How are you guys doing?" asked Albert.

"We're good too, Daddy." Lucas replied.

After that, it was Ellena's turn to rush towards her in-laws. Albert seemed to hug Ellena like his own child. However, in contrast to Veronica who looks normal. Even this time it looks very forced to hug his daughter-in-law.

Ellena can certainly feel the awkwardness, even though previously her mother-in-law was very kind to her, more than her own biological child. Ah, that atmosphere really made Ellena feel very uncomfortable.

Unlike Ellena, Lucas and Albert actually looked normal as if they were not aware of Veronica's change in attitude towards Ellena.

"Where's your mother?" Veronica asked a little curtly.

"Y-yes, Mom. Inside," Ellena replied nervously.

"What a coincidence, Mommy wants to meet and talk a lot with your mother," Veronica explained, which made Ellena a little surprised and worried, of course.

Ellena was stunned for a moment, trying to neutralize her feelings that were almost messed up by her mother-in-law's sudden change in attitude.

"W-okay, Mommy.. Please come in," replied Ellena as she ushered her in-laws in.
