Chapter 514 Creator Room?
Villain Ch 514. Creator Room
Elio dashed up, his steps purposeful and urgent. With each stride, his mind raced, focused on the task at hand. His eyes darted around, scanning the surroundings with a keen, vigilant gaze, searching for any subtle alterations that might hint at the presence of an intruder.
The second-floor hallway stretched out before him, the familiar sight seemingly undisturbed. But Elio wasn't complacent. He inspected every nook and cranny, his keen gaze sweeping over every detail, every corner, seeking any slight deviation from the norm. The atmosphere felt charged with the anticipation of uncovering a hidden threat within their sanctuary.
He paused, briefly turning his head to the left and then to the right, studying the walls, the doorways, and the shadows cast by the dim lighting. His mind worked in overdrive, searching for anomalies, for any sign that might indicate an unwanted guest.
Yet, despite his intense scrutiny, he found no immediate signs of an intruder. The hallway remained quiet, the air heavy with suspense, but nothing appeared out of place. The surroundings seemed unchanged.
Disappointed by the lack of any obvious clue, Elio continued his quest, determined to ensure every area of the guild's premises was thoroughly checked. His strides echoed in the corridor as he proceeded, keeping his senses on high alert, ready to detect any subtle, out-of-place detail that might reveal the infiltrator's presence. The hunt for the intruder had just begun, and with every passing moment, the challenge to unearth their unseen foe intensified.
His thoughts churned with a sense of self-disappointment. He couldn't believe he had fallen for such a deceptively simple ruse. The infiltrator's strategy had been executed with such flawless finesse that it left Elio questioning his own vigilance.
The smoothness of the deception gnawed at him. It was almost too perfect, too seamless, making Elio feel blindsided. The creeping tension that had enveloped him since Gil's revelation remained a constant reminder that the infiltrator was not only in their midst but had, somehow, managed to stay one step ahead.
He also couldn't help but consider the possibility that other guilds might have encountered similar infiltrations. A sense of unease settled within him, pondering whether they were not the sole victims of this audacious villain.
Elio briskly made his way to the creator room, a space often frequented by Liam and Darren for their crafting endeavors within the guild. As he pushed open the door, the familiar sight greeted him.
The room was illuminated by the soft glow of ambient lighting, casting a tranquil aura across the space. The walls were adorned with shelves stacked with various crafting materials and tools. Workbenches stood at the center, littered with half-finished items and neatly arranged tools. The air was laced with the faint scent of enchanting potions and the lingering remnants of smelted metals.
In one corner of the room stood an NPC repairman, diligently engrossed in fixing and maintaining the guild's equipment. His sturdy apron and grease-streaked hands spoke of his dedication to his craft, diligently ensuring the functionality of the gear used by the guild members. "Hello, what can I do for you?" He glanced up as Elio entered, acknowledging his presence with a nod before returning to his work, seemingly absorbed in the intricate task at hand.
Opposite the repairman, an NPC potion seller stood behind a modest display, vials and flasks of various colors and sizes neatly arranged on the counter. Her presence was indispensable for guild members seeking replenishment for their drained health and mana reserves. "The potions are ready!" She offered a serene smile as Elio's gaze met hers, an unspoken understanding of the service she provided to the guild.
In the middle of the room, Liam, deeply engrossed in his craft, stood at one of the workbenches, meticulously fashioning a light armor set. His nimble fingers maneuvered across the tools and materials, shaping the armor with precision. His attention was solely fixed on the task at hand, his brow furrowed in concentration as he meticulously etched intricate designs into the armor plates. The delicate dance of his hands and the focused intensity in his eyes, each stroke bearing his dedication to the craft.
Opposite Liam, Darren, surrounded by an array of vials and ingredients, was meticulously brewing potions. His focus was on perfecting the concoction, his movements swift and assured as he measured and mixed the ingredients.
Darren continued to work meticulously on his potions, unfazed as he piped up, "If you're here looking for the villain, you're out of luck. Liam and I have been chilling here for quite some time. It's just us, no one else swings by."
Liam, engrossed in his armor crafting, chimed in, "And if you think, we are, we do not. We don't know how we could prove it, but we are not," he said, his focus unwavering as he continued working.
Elio, feeling the intensity of the situation, stood firm. "Stop what you're doing for a sec and type something in the guild chat. That'll show you're not the villains," he asserted, his heart racing with the urgency of the moment. His gaze remained fixed on Liam and Darren, who were deeply immersed in their tasks, crafting their creations much like the NPCs would in the game.
"Okay, but give me a sec. This batch of potions is nearly done," Darren remarked casually, his attention still absorbed in his task.
Liam, slightly irked, retorted, "I can't just stop mid-craft. It'd be a total waste of my materials. Besides, the villains can't mimic our skills. We're creators, and those villains can't pull off what we do," he added, his annoyance evident in his tone.
Elio understood Liam's valid point. He knew their skills were distinct and beyond the abilities of the infiltrators, but the risk was too high, and doubts needed to be put to rest immediately.
"Just do what I said," Elio pressed, hoping to convince Liam and Darren to comply with his request. The urgency of the situation necessitated their cooperation, even if it meant an interruption to their ongoing tasks.
