Zhenyi wrinkled her forehead before murmuring, "It means you hate the Tang family."

"Why would I?" Long Jie questioned her instead." They are not safe people, Cat eyes. You may not know about them like your father does, that's why you're not calling them all the names you know."

Of course, Zhenyi didn't know much about the Tang family as she had spent the majority of her life abroad, and when she came back to the country she had no idea about this royal family until a few months ago.

If not for her dreams, she wouldn't have known that she was directly related to this family.

"You still didn't tell me how you're related to this so-called royal family?" Long Jie asked her again.

Zhenyi sighed and met his eyes." My mom was Tang Reine."

Long Jie's eyes widened in shock. "She was someone from the Tang family?"

She shook her head lightly and replied," She was the only child of the late King."

Long Jie blinked at her and Zhenyi had a hard time controlling her laughter, seeing his perplexed expression.

"Jesus!" He felt as if someone had just said that Queen Elizabeth was his mother-in-law, however it was far from being true. "You never told me."

"Well, I didn't know until a few months ago about my mom's real identity," said Zhenyi with a light shrug. " To be honest, I was of the view that she was a gangster my father fell in love with and married her."

"She is your mom, Zhenyi," Long Jie reminded her.

"I know but you know nothing about her past actions screams royalty,''. Zhenyi gave a simple yet honest reply.

She was right to some extent.

Recalling the way she killed tens of men with a sword, she knew that her mother didn't need a title to be called a warrior.  Perhaps, she didn't know how her face changed expression but Long Jie sure did.

A big part of him understood that her personality change had something to do with her mother because for two reasons:  1) She never talked about her mother before the accident and even if someone would try to, she would just change the topic. But after the accident, she not only talked about her, but a strange pang of pain and sadness was always present in her eyes whenever she talked about her.

2) His intuition was telling him so. That's why now he was going to clear this matter once for all.

He needed to push her out of her depressed world. She needed to get rid of the unhappy thoughts she had cooked in her mind.

But he knew better. He had been where she was today. The emotional meltdown, the dark clouds of despair, and everything gloomy were too familiar to him.

There was a time in his life when he had no ambition, no desire, and no fondness for life. He was not drowning as he had already fallen in the depth of the endless abyss,  but there was somebody who grabbed his hand at the end moment and brought him back to the light; to life. And for that, he would always be under Lord Tang's benevolence.

Now all he knew was that he had to be the anchor and light for Zhenyi which Lord Tang was for him many years ago. And he knew too that if he didn't give what she needed the most right now; his assistance, she would fall prey to the demons that reside inside her head, they would destroy her more than she had already done to herself. They would rip apart the tiny part of her soul that still blaze as glowing as ever if not a little dim, but was still there. And he just needed to protect it.

"All right," Long Jie said, patted her head, and didn't speak for a long time.

Zhenyi was lost in her thoughts again when Long Jie called out his name.

" Zhenyi?"

"Hmm?"

"You need to see someone." Long Jie's words caused Zhenyi to look at him. She looked at his face as if she didn't know this man at all. No, she knew him quite well. The man in front of her was not the husband she was living with for about two months, but the one before these two months.

She just could feel the change in his body language.

"Who?" She didn't know how the word escaped her lips, but she knew the answer to the question even before she pushed out.

"A therapist, Zhenyi."

She froze. Her hands and feet went cold and numb. Her eyes felt like they were... burning.

"You're getting me wrong, Zhenyi." Long Jie added.

He knew what she was thinking in her mind. It was truly not like what she was thinking. He just wanted to help her. And he would.

"You think I have some issues that I need to resolve?" Zhenyi said with a self-mocking laugh.  She removed her head from his lap and moved farther from him. She even refused to look at him.

'She can't believe that he said that. How could he?'

She would be alright if she was not already. She did not have any mental problems for heaven's sake. She neither had any suicidal thoughts, then, why did he tell her to see a therapist?

Did he think he was living with an emotionally unstable person? She agreed that she had been suffering these months emotionally but it's just because of what she had done years ago.

Perhaps, Zhenyi had not realized how much her thoughts were affecting her mental and emotional health. Sometimes, getting help doesn't mean you're weak and vulnerable, it just means that you're strong enough to recognize and accept your vulnerabilities, and only after accepting and acknowledging your weaknesses, you can  strengthen yourself.

Long Jie caught her arm and made her look at him. She glared at his audacity to make her listen to him.

"Don't you?" Long Jie retorted. He had enough of her depressing days and it was finally the time to take action. "Don't you have issues to resolve, Mrs. Long?"
