When Aion woke up, he began his training with Power Throw, and it seemed that the previous difficult battle sharpened his instincts since he noticed a difference in the efficiency of the technique. Moreover, he could charge it for more than thirty seconds now… things were looking it up.

Thanks to it, Aion managed to take down the enemies on the next floors in a single hit… there was also the fact that Sonic Throw was leveling up a lot, and Aion was also increasing his strength with each level-up, but that certainly wasn't the main reason. Regardless, he couldn't just slack off now and he wouldn't since he was a workaholic when it came to training.

"Can we rest for a bit longer between floors? I need to work on the next weapons," Seris said. "Seriously, I think I am going to lose my mind if we don't manage to do anything again against the next enemy."

Sauros scratched the back of his head, he could understand the feeling, but since they couldn't keep up with Aion on the frontline, they didn't have many options. Even their support was kind of being unnecessary... that was more than surprising since most of the enemies were creatures or people from the past and it was an objective fact that they were stronger than most people in the current world.

Seris began to work on the next weapon that was similar to the current one, but instead of lightning bullets, it fired ice ones. They should have some extra weight when being used, but it seemed that Seris was trying to make their freezing effects to get stronger based on the tests that she made.

"Seris, maybe you should teach Aion some runes," Sauros suddenly said when they defeated the enemy on the 69th floor. "Things are getting harder, and he is overworking himself, trying to make the enemies only focus on him. That should work as some help from our side."

"No need. Sooner or later, I will learn that by myself," Aion said.

In fact, it wouldn't surprise Aion if he got a class that would help him learn runes in the future. Maybe it was a variation of one of his mage classes, or perhaps the ones that focus on support. Either way, he was fine for the time being.

"... Since he can use Inner Force and some other version of that technique, I don't think he should learn anything else since I believe that support runes would suit him most," Seris said after she scratched the back of her head. "While he recovers mana fast, it would be a waste not to let him use some runes, though… this is a complicated matter."

"Like I said…" Aion said and then sighed.

"There are the basic elemental ones that come in handy," Seris said. "You are enhancing your weapon with magic, and you control it to increase the power even further. The basic runes can draw mana from the environment to your spear, and that will make you control the magic better and use less energy as well."

That seemed pretty convenient, but after refusing the offer a few times, it felt troublesome to accept it now.

"You just have to write this while focusing some of your mana on your weapon," Seris said. "When it comes to runes, the intention is the key. The stronger the image of the effect you want, the better it will be. Still, you already proved that you are a better mage than us. So, even the sloppiest of your runes definitely will be something to see."

Before Aion said anything, Seris moved her fingers in the air, forming a symbol that had the shape of a pointy spiral… it looked like a mix of a whirlwind and a triangle.

Aion decided to try drawing it in the air and then moving close to his spear. He frowned when he saw the symbol glowing in the air after he finished it. Then he moved toward the spear…

"You did on the first attempt… how annoying," Seris said after clicking her tongue.

"You are a pain in the ass," Aion said and then shrugged.

After not so long, Aion began to feel the mana around starting to gather on the spear… since he didn't focus that much or used too much mana, Aion assumed that not a lot of mana would concentrate there, but just the experience would be fine… any small amount of mana would be useful.

In the end, Aion decided to take a nap since Seris hadn't finished her preparations yet. After a two hours power nap, Aion woke up and could feel a lot of energy coming from it… Aion wanted to test it, but it would be a waste to use any of it now.

"We are ready to go now," Sauros said. "I don't think that we are going to face those guys so soon, but it is obvious that on the next floor, we will either face the archer or the mage," Sauros said. "Both of them are long-ranged warriors… keep your guard up because they will be even harder than anything we have seen thus far."

The archer will probably be easier to defeat, but then again… Aion didn't have that much experience dealing with them either. In any case, the group climbed to the next floor and confirmed that it was another big one.

When the shadow of the next enemy began to appear, Aion immediately focused his mana on it and then made a twenty meters ice spear appear before he threw the spear at them. He didn't care if the enemy was a friend of his ancestor and they were someone that had to be defeated.

The object flew at supersonic speeds toward the enemy, but it stopped when she appeared completely. It was a redhead woman with a pointy hat… but Aion ignored that while trying to understand how she managed to pull that off… Aion understood it when he saw the ice cracking into many pieces…
