464 Fifth Day's Achievement

After the punishment game, the rest of the day was basically the same as usual. We all had dinner together, with everyone seeming a little jollier than usual. Did they enjoy my fashion show that much?

Next to dinner was relaxation time in the hot springs. Of course, although some "accidents" happened during the bath, like when I "tripped" and "slapped" Ember's cakes, nothing much changed.

I definitely didn't do that intentionally to get back at her for crushing me during the mock battles. Yep.

I could feel Ember's resentment while we were all lying in bed in the usual locked room again, though. Anyway, probably from getting mentally tired from playing with the Exoskeletons, I fell asleep without delay.

Today was the fifth day—another day of training!

We split up as usual, with Ember going to her lab first to finalize the designs and finish the repairs for the machines. The 9th-stage girls were gathered around, as usual, trying to open up their God Kingdoms.

Fina was chatting with Fatima, asking her about pointers concerning improving her energy control and increasing her output.

Yorm and Judy were a little distance away, focused on refining the Essence Crystals that were piled beside them.

Everyone's working hard.

Me? No, I'm not instructing the Succubus tamers now.

Those girls asked to leave Ember's Kingdom for a while, but they should be back sometime before dinner. Instead, I was finally challenging the same problem that Fang and the others were solving. Building a God Kingdom!

Of course, building God Kingdoms wasn't only doable by monsters; even tamers could do it. Not all tamers could succeed, though. For example, out of the three remaining god tamers, only Zeshion managed to create his own God Kingdom.

Me? I should probably succeed too. The reason was simple.

[... And so, the process of creating a God Kingdom for Tamers is completely different from how monsters do it. Understand?]

After all, I have five regressors, each having achieved their very own God Kingdoms, ready to teach me how to make one! Unfortunately, the method for tamers wasn't compatible with monsters either, so I can't share what they're teaching me to help Fang and the others succeed with their God Kingdom building.

"So... like this...?"

Of course, they could only teach it to me verbally, as they couldn't demonstrate it. After all, they're only spiritual bodies right now, unable to even access their old kingdoms.

The method that Primo taught me first was through the process of "reversing the flow." I actually don't get the logic behind it, but if it works, then it works. I closed my eyes, slowly controlling the energy inside my body and letting them run in reverse.

It was similar to the way of activating [Lifeblood], but was instead done the opposite way.

"Ugh!"

Pain spread throughout my body as I tried it, causing my concentration to break immediately. That amount of pain was beyond what I had already experienced, enough that it managed to affect my concentration despite my high pain tolerance!

"This... won't work."

From Primo's explanation before, unbearable pain was a sign that this method wasn't compatible with me. Primo seemed to have sighed before agreeing.

[*Sigh* Again, huh? Why is it that everyone can't do it?]

He sounds disappointed, but well, I can't do anything about things that don't work.

After that, Brother Mountain started to explain his method, which was a lot more straightforward compared to Primo's. However, again, along with a bout of pain, I failed to use his method.

"Sh*t... let me rest for a bit."

The pain from failing Brother Mountain's method covered my back and forehead with cold sweat. I need a few minutes to return to my usual state.

After a short rest, it was Tres' turn to try teaching me his method. It wasn't as complicated as Primo's, but it wasn't as easy as Brother Mountain's. However, as expected, it still failed in the end.

Am I perhaps not compatible with any of their methods? The only thing I got from trying their methods was extreme pain...

"YES! I DID IT!"

"Woah!"

And while I was resting my nerves once more, a loud, victorious roar echoed from a short distance away. Looking over, I found Igni there, jumping around in celebration. Before her was a large red portal, waiting for someone to enter.

She succeeded in creating her God Kingdom?!

"My Lord, please accompany me to see my newly made kingdom!"

Excited by her achievement, Igni rushed to my side and pulled me up, dragging me toward her portal. Of course, I wasn't dragging my feet along but was similarly excited. She's the second one to create her kingdom after Ember, after all, successfully!

The two of us passed through the red portal, and as soon as we reached the other side, I was shocked.

The temperature there was high, as if I were right at the mouth of a volcano. No, maybe I really am on a volcano. Other than the sky, everything was covered in flames!

The entire space was a mix of red-hot rocks, surrounded by a sea of flames. There are a few mountains and volcanoes in the distance, and gigantic balls of flame are raining down from the sky, coming from who knows where.

"This..."

I wiped the sweat on my forehead, looking over at Igni. She, of course, wasn't affected by the heat. After all, she was the one who owned this God Kingdom, so it shouldn't be uncomfortable for her.

"My Lord... can you see this?"

Igni extended her hand, and on top of her open palm was a floating hourglass. It had sand inside but was seemingly not moving at all.

"What's that?"

I couldn't even guess what it could be. But from looking at it with my "eyes," I could tell that there are three types of energy gathered inside it, though.

Igni's expression shows that she's in disbelief while she muttered what that thing in her hand was.

"It seems like using this... I can freely manipulate the flow of time in this space."
