Chapter 55: Chapter 55 Blind Date

“Who would have thought that even the great ‘Love Strategist’ would fall to the plight of a blind date?” Lin Shen picked up his teacup and took a sip before speaking casually.

“We’ve known each other for some time; is it necessary to mock me like this? Besides, aren’t you here for a blind date too? You’re not much better than me, so what right do you have to laugh?” Ye Yuzhen said, holding her teacup.

“Lin Shen, can’t you be a little more gracious with your words?” Ye Yuzhen bit her red lip and said.

Ye Yuzhen glared at Lin Shen, stood up, and reached for her bag, intending to leave.

“Have you not insulted me enough?” Ye Yuzhen said.

“Aren’t you here for a blind date? We haven’t even talked about anything yet, and you’re leaving already? That doesn’t seem appropriate,” Lin Shen said with a smile.

“No, Lin Shen, what are you getting at?” Ye Yuzhen slammed her bag back on the table and plopped down again.

“What else could I mean? I’m here for a blind date, and so are you. It’s only fair that we get to know each other a bit, isn’t it?” Lin Shen said.

“No, have you lost your mind? Are you really planning to go on a blind date with me?” Ye Yuzhen asked with an incredulous expression.

“If I’m not here for a blind date, then what am I here for?” Lin Shen countered.

“Fine, how do you want to disgust me then? Go ahead,” Ye Yuzhen crossed her arms, her expression challenging him.

But this gesture made her seem all the more “unapproachable.”

“Let’s not use such harsh words; I’m not you. I don’t just go around bothering people without a good reason,” Lin Shen said before Ye Yuzhen could argue. “Since we’re both here for a blind date, I’d like to know how many boyfriends you’ve had. That’s not too much to ask, is it?”

“It’s not too much, but I don’t want to tell you,” Ye Yuzhen pouted.

“So, what do you think of me?” Lin Shen continued.

“You can’t seriously want to go on a blind date with me? Are you messing with me?” Ye Yuzhen looked at Lin Shen skeptically, a hint of joy hidden in her eyes.

“How many times do you need me to say it? Alright, I’ll say it one last time: I’m here for a blind date, you’re my arranged date, and I just want to have a proper blind date. Is that so wrong?” Lin Shen said earnestly.

Seeing Ye Yuzhen looking like she was on pins and needles, Lin Shen felt incredibly satisfied.

It was because of this very Ye Yuzhen that he and Lu Qing had no shortage of arguments and anger. When she was unhappy, Lin Shen felt quite happy.

On second thought, if things really worked out with Ye Yuzhen, it might not be so bad after all.

“I’m into you. Just say whether you agree or not,” said Lin Shen.

“Bro, stop teasing me, okay? What’s our relationship, you wouldn’t be planning revenge on me, would you?” While Ye Yuzhen said this, the glee in her eyes became stronger, almost impossible to hide.

“What is our relationship? You scared away a girlfriend of mine, it’s only right that you repay me with one, isn’t it?” Lin Shen said, smiling.

“I…” Ye Yuzhen looked at Lin Shen with a complex expression, at a loss for words at the moment.

Suddenly, a noisy commotion came from downstairs, and soon someone ascended to the second floor, heading straight towards them.

The two of them involuntarily turned to look and discovered that the person who had come was Xu Tiange.

Ye Yuzhen frowned slightly, turned to Lin Shen, and said, “I’ll stop him for you. That settles our previous matter.”

As she spoke and was about to stand up to greet the approaching Xu Tiange, she suddenly felt her hand being held down. She turned to see Lin Shen’s large hand on hers, and her cheeks instantly flushed.

“Drink tea, my matters, I’ll settle them myself,” Lin Shen withdrew his hand, continuing to make tea as he spoke.

“This is too careless, if Xu Tiange suddenly attacks, how could he defend himself? It’s not his fault though; he’s never worried about such things, never suffered like this.” Ye Yuzhen was about to stand up again when she suddenly heard Xu Tiange speak.

“What are all of you doing, is this how you’ve been taught to take care of guests? How can you let Shen make his own tea? What if Shen burns his hand?” Under Ye Yuzhen’s incredulous gaze, Xu Tiange bent over to take the teaware from Lin Shen’s hands, smiling as he said, “Shen, coming to your brother’s shop and you didn’t say a word. Making tea by yourself, isn’t that a slap in my face? Bro, you do your thing, let your little brother make tea for you.”

After speaking, Xu Tiange also instructed the server, “Go get the two ounces of Ancient Tree New Tea from my safe. This ordinary tea just can’t suit my Shen’s taste.”

“Has Xu Tiange gone mad, or is my brain malfunctioning?” Ye Yuzhen stood there dumbstruck, alternating her gaze between the ingratiating Xu Tiange and Lin Shen, who seemed to be sitting there as if nothing was amiss, unsure what exactly was going on.
