The four teachers that the first teacher addressed nodded. Some of them reacted so calmly that one might’ve mistaken them for missing his words.

“Great Senior Brother, where’s Master?”

Among them, a chubby man stood up patting his belly. He was none other than the third teacher, Hui Sai Cheong.

The mention of his master had the first teacher smiling bitterly. “How would I know? The last time I saw our secretive and mysterious master was six months ago. But he did mention that his trial would be the same as our previous trials.”

“Oh…” The others immediately understood, as other than the first teacher, the rest of them joined through the trials.

“It’s tomorrow, and I’m so excited. It’s been so long since we had an event going on,” the first teacher said with a sweet smile as he placed his hands behind his back.

Silver moonlight shone down brightly onto the five Cloud Palace disciples, forming an ethereal glow around them.

The day after, it was as if there was a signal as all teenage elites ended their seclusion and gathered outside the Cloud Palace outer sect. Only a few like the School of Blossoms’ Yip Luk Ching and Apex Temple’s Yuen Yau did not turn up.

More and more people gathered outside the shabby building of the Cloud Palace outer sect, and the aura emitted from the teenage elites had commoners not daring to move towards them. This was the world of cultivators, and the commoners all gathered at Black Tortoise Avenue in front of the Cloud Rank’s stone tablet as that was where the name of the selected cultivator would appear.

It was the lifelong dream of countless cultivators to have their name go up on the Cloud Rank. Cultivators who successfully achieved this usually performed well on the other ranks too, but during every Cloud Palace enrollment, the sentence “ranked on the Cloud Rank” was a blessing for the young cultivators participating in the enrollment to be selected.

The Cloud Palace outer sect was filled with important figures, but influential leaders of the world were absent. One example was the white-haired elderly man with pink cheeks who gave off the vibe of a metallic tower just by standing still outside the outer sect. He was the Metallic Blood War Gate’s representative, Sze Fung. Not only was he representing the sect, but he was also sent by Lung Wai Yuet.

Other famous cultivators like the Chor Clan Leader Chor Chun Ping, the Wong Clan Leader Wong Pak, and Old Star Reacher who had a weird temper were present too. During normal circumstances, there was almost no chance to see these cultivators in person, yet today, the venue was filled with them! If one were to bump into somebody today, there was a high chance it would be one of the famous cultivators.

However, the spotlight wasn’t on them today.

The main characters of the day were the teenagers in the middle, and the eldest amongst them at most eighteen years old. They were the world’s future, and every one of them would be part of the next generation of elites after they grew.

Of course, amongst them stood cultivators ranked on the Blue Skies Rank like Mung Si, Lam Zaa, and many more, yet there were also unfamiliar faces in the group, similarly emitting strong energliph.

Some of them were clan disciples in seclusion previously. One of them wore an ocean blue martial arts uniform and a clan crest of a red palm hanging from the waist, symbolising his identity as a Hung Clan member. This was Hung Zheng Chen, the best disciple of his generation in his clan. He had his arms crossed and his eyes shut lightly as he waited silently.

He did not join any of the Big Three or Eight Institutions nor the outer sect, and rumour had it that it was because he spent three years in the Hung Clan’s forbidden area, Heavenly Silver Waterfall, for enlightenment and to pick up the Hung Clan’s secret style. He only exited the place a few months ago.

There were other teenagers like him, as not every clan and organisation would send their disciples to the Big Three or Eight Institutions or the outer sect. Some of them were proud of their teachings, and the Tse Clan was amongst them.

The words “Tse Clan” brought the crowd’s attention towards the duo standing at the outer range.

The Night Lion Tse Clan. This duo seemed to be the most lowkey among all, but they were in fact the most daring clan outside of South Imperial City. With Night Lion City as the centre, a few cities in their range viewed the Tse Clan as the leader and gave them a fixed amount of resources and money, basically treating the clan like a king.

There were no other clans in the South that dared to behave in this manner except for them.

However, the clan abided by the Lam Dynasty rules well and paid the correct amount of taxes. After centuries, the Lam Clan closed one eye concerning them. It would be naive to deem the Tse Clan as a weak clan just because of their miserable influence in South Imperial City.

Not to mention their new generation elite, Tse Yu Bak.

Tse Yu Bak was an odd one who had not even broken through to the one-chambered state even at eighteen years old. However, he suddenly announced he had a year later, and when they started paying attention to him the next year, he was already a two-chambered cultivator.

How much potential must someone have to be able to achieve that within a year? Some people even sighed in pity, saying that if Tse Yu Bak was born a few years later, he would definitely be a hot topic of the enrollment and strong competition for the Blue Skies Rank!

Currently, Tse Yu Bak was with his uncle, Tse On. Tse On had no talent to cultivate, but it was proven that he was a genius seeing how he allowed the Tse Clan to continue operations in South Imperial City where their clan had always been inferior.

The duo was now speaking to a bald boy happily.

“Hahaha, Brother Chui! You’ve improved so much after such a short period of time!” Tse Yu Bak laughed and patted Chui Yim’s shoulder. The counter-force he felt against his palm left him greatly shocked.

It had been about a year since he met Chui Yim, and the boy back then was extremely delicate. Even though he had yet to break through the innate chamber and had an outstanding physical body, he was only slightly stronger. But now…

He had ample strength and a strong body, as if having infinite strength! Even though the Tse Clan were not experts in this area, Tse Yu Bak could feel that strength-wise he was no competition for this boy, which weirded him out.

Of course, he was definitely not jealous or envious of this boy who changed his life after a fateful meeting. Tse Yu Bak always shuddered at the thought of what his life would be now if not for Chui Yim. Thus, he was immensely grateful for this little friend he met.

"Hehe, Brother Tse is too polite." Chui Yim patted Tse Yu Bak’s shoulder like an old man. "I’ve heard about you all the way in South Imperial City. You’re currently in the two-chambered state now, huh? Hahaha. Not bad, Elder Brother is proud of you."

Tse On’s forehead pounded when he watched Chui Yim refer to himself as Elder Brother to Tse Yu Bak, who was older than him.

Of course, he might’ve felt better if he knew Chui Yim spoke to Chor Shing Chit without honorifics.

Tse Yu Bak, who long knew about Chui Yim’s weird habit, laughed. "Then I’ll cheer for Brother and be expecting your name on the Cloud Rank."

"Of course." Chui Yim patted his chest.

"Well, that won’t happen," somebody added. "Because that slot is mine."

"Get lost!" Chui Yim glared at him angrily.
