Spending a year in the South had changed Mung Si greatly. She was a gifted girl, but way less haughty and more diligent compared to the other geniuses; the exact things that allowed her to exceed her peers. This was proven by how Cloud Palace ranked her first on the Blue Skies Rank.

At the same time, Mung Si was immensely proud.

Beneath her cold and fierce exterior, she was a righteous, gentle girl in her heart who would silently lend Chui Yim a helping hand when Chor Kwong Laan bullied him. The saying “have a sharp tongue but gentle heart” was what best described her.

Furthermore, due to the dissociated energy that led to insomnia, discomfort during noon, and rough cultivation of the Self Winding Wheel, Mung Si grew to become very hot-tempered. Thus, she chose to put up an ice-cold front and acted like a proud phoenix.

This wasn’t who Mung Si actually was, but she was never willing to lower her pride.

Here at the Cloud Palace outer sect, she met Chui Yim, the total opposite of her. He was as talented as her yet super rowdy. He spoke loudly and consumed wine as and when he liked, totally unlike a genius but those useless men that Mung Si disdained.

However, such a boy broke records at the age of thirteen by reaching the great master state, surpassing many fellow blacksmiths and glipheons. Not only that, he was so capable that he ended up with a tie when he fought Lam Zaa – who was equipped with the Hundred Streams body – straight up.

Chui Yim’s achievements gained him a spotlight in the world, yet he continued to be himself – the country bumpkin with oil all over his mouth after feasting on chicken drumsticks.

Surprisingly, Mung Si wasn’t worried after hearing about her condition from Chui Yim. She was weirdly… calm.

“Okay, let’s do it now and have it settled today.”

“But…” Her determined answer left Chui Yim in shock. “That’s the heart chamber, any slight carelessness-”

“I trust you,” Mung Si stopped Chui Yim coldly. “So let’s get to it without wasting any more time.”

Chui Yim looked at her helplessly. She could have said it in a nicer tone though…

But what do I have to fear if even she’s unafraid of death?

The thought of this fueled Chui Yim.

At the same time, Mung Si couldn’t understand how she came to trust Chui Yim so greatly, maybe even more confident in him than herself. Could it be how he performs beyond expectations again and again?

I might surpass him in gliphism, but if I were to act like him – focus on forging, medicine, and gliphism at the same time, would I still be able to perform with flying colours? Mung Si asked herself, and this helped her feel at ease.

If even he can’t cure me, then it must be fate.

Chui Yim focused fully on his professional area.

It was a funny sight to watch a pale-skinned bald boy furrowing his brows. However, he did not care about that as all that was on his mind currently was to focus.

He immediately picked up the Thirty-Six Lunar Needles and walked in front of Mung Si. “I’ll have to block your meridians in case of an accident.” However, he was suddenly rooted to the ground and so was Mung Si, who was initially deep in thought, as they both realized she was currently naked!

Chui Yim felt his blood pressure surging as well as a high possibility of blood flowing out of his nose. Mung Si was similarly awkward, but she knew that the other party didn’t mean to do so, thus she calmed herself down forcefully and spoke coldly. “Hurry and go to work.”

Surprised by how calm Mung Si was, guilt consumed Chui Yim. Hello, this is your second time as a human even though you’re just a newbie in this area, but how can you act in this manner when she’s so calm!?

Chui Yim took a deep breath to keep his composure. However, he accidentally glanced at Mung Si’s considerable bosom.

“I’ll dig your eyes out if you steal another glance!” Mung Si was already so embarrassed that she hoped to hide herself in a hole, yet Chui Yim still took his sweet time while stealing glances at her, which felt like being molested by an invisible hand…

“Oh, oh…” Chui Yim slapped his cheek to calm himself down.

Pff!

After regaining his composure, Chui Yim was accurate in his acupuncture.

He rapidly placed twelve needles down to protect the important meridians of Mung Si’s heart chamber to block the smart dissociation energy from escaping as well as to protect her heart. Every needle was a finger-width apart as twenty-four needles continued landing down on Mung Si to secure the first needles.

All thirty-six needles were mixed with Chui Yim’s energliph.

This was similarly exhausting for Chui Yim. After he was finished, he scuttered around to face Mung Si’s back, which made her chuckle. Mung Si calmed down, yet she couldn’t help but feel slightly disappointed.

Chui Yim shut his eyes and cultivated the Nine Levels of Heaven’s Flame as well as the Self Winding Wheel to regain energliph. At the same time, he consumed the returning spirit pill.

Mung Si felt uncomfortable very soon. The dissociation energy in her heart chamber stirred restlessly as it sensed that it was being locked in. At the same time, Mung Si experienced rough blood flow since there were needles blocking her meridians. The doubled discomfort had Mung Si’s skin reddening as if she was being burned by fire.

But being Mung Si, the girl with extremely huge determination that brought her to the refining chamber at a young age, she gritted her teeth and made no noise in order to not disturb Chui Yim.

Finally, Chui Yim opened his eyes abruptly and slammed Mung Si’s back with great force!

Pff!

Mung Si vomited blood!

A strong energliph gushed into her body fiercely, unlike how it was done carefully previously. Mung Si even wondered for a split second if Chui Yim was taking the chance to kill her when she felt it. But very soon, she regained her trust for the boy standing behind her.

Chui Yim was sweating buckets as his energliph reached Mung Si’s heart chamber at lightning speed. He was trying to defeat the fast dissociation energy with his speed right now.

At lightning speed, his energliph went for the dissociation energy, but it felt Chui Yim’s energliph and escaped the moment Chui Yim arrived!

It indeed have survival instincts!

Chui Yim chased after it fiercely. Since the heart chamber was sealed, there was nowhere for the energy to go.

Boom! Chui Yim’s energliph crashed into the dissociation energy, and Mung Si vomited blood once again.

Chui Yim was getting anxious, yet he remained calm and pulled the dissociation energy away. The struggle was intense, and neither party was able to concede defeat.

The only victim of their battle was Mung Si, with the battlefield being near her heart chamber.

That was the most fragile area of a human being, so how could she withstand this violent battle going on? Thus, the pool of blood below her feet became bigger again and again.

“I don’t care anymore!” Chui Yim gritted his teeth and thrust his energliph into Mung Si’s body to forcefully cut the dissociation energy in half! This was something only a grandmaster could achieve! The dissociation energy that lost half of its battle capability was forcefully brought into Chui Yim’s body by him.

As if feeling that it had nowhere to go, the dissociation energy surged into Chui Yim’s body, ready to perish with him!
