Therefore, Chui Yim could only rely on special styles if he wanted to improve his body again at his current state.

Time slipped by while Chui Yim focused fully on cultivation.

Within the blink of an eye, spring awakened in the South with a parade of greens and other colours.

This scene definitely left the Northerners green with envy as they rarely had the privilege to witness such beautiful scenery back in their harsh hometown environment. Plants that managed to survive in the North were usually unique-looking but ugly.

Due to geological reasons, farming was unsuitable in the North. It was okay for helping with survival, but everything was lacking in flavour. Yearly, big organizations and tribes paid extravagant prices to purchase food resources from the South, which was usually overpriced, leading to the North attacking more fiercely at the Bloody War Frontier.

Survival was the main reason the North wanted to invade the South, as leaving their harsh environment for the South was the only way to improve their standard of living.

Meanwhile, the South could only fight back as hard as they could against the North if they wished to retain their comfortable living conditions.

But time never waits. The vibrant season soon came to an end as well, and the temperature rose gradually.

Sellers making business by the road put on their vests, and playing children were drenched in sweat.

Summer came drifting in on a spring wind. Three months slipped past the hardworking teen’s eyes, and soon, it was an important day in the South.

The Southern National Day! The exact day the first Emperor Lam established this mighty nation centuries ago.

Every National Day, the South would put on a huge celebration, especially in South Imperial City. This was the only chance for South Imperial City commoners to meet Emperor Lam Chun in real life.

During his reign, Lam Chun did a great job as the leader of the South. He excelled in nurturing the new generation as well as leading the Southern warriors in the Bloody War Frontier to achieve great results.

Lam Chun also granted the Southern commoners a contented life. Life was smooth and peaceful, which was greatly desired by all. In fact, the only blemish on Lam Chun’s reign was the massacre of a huge agricultural area, Kam Clan Village, that took place about a decade ago.

But commoners normally had bad memories, and after all the media and public opinions, the commoners only remembered Lam Chun’s good deeds and forgot about the Kam Clan Village tragedy.

Even if Kam Chin Kee was brought up, everybody only remembered how generous Lam Chun was to take in an orphan as his adopted son…

In short, this special day was something the South Imperial City citizens would not miss.

However, the festive season did not reach the Wandering Son’s Lake residence.

Kam Chin Kee was seated outside the workshop with two of his puppets that he had successfully fixed, the red bird and blue wolf, and he was currently guarding Chui Yim.

Chui Yim was inside the workshop sitting in a huge wooden bucket that was as tall as a man. His workshop was where he placed all his alchemy and forging resources, but it was also where he cultivated.

This was where he chose to cultivate bronze skin too.

It was not an easy task for Chau Chung to collect all the ingredients Chui Yim needed, but thanks to Chui Yim gaining fame not only for being a great master blacksmith but for his performance in the inter-school exchange, things were easier for his agent.

Chau Chung sincerely felt the convenience when all these ingredients that made his head hurt came to him so easily.

Chui Yim created the bath instantly when he got the ingredients. He dared not be careless since the side effects to his body if something went wrong were not stated.

However, he was given a shock when he cultivated the bronze skin of the Invincible Diamond Body on the first day.

“The ingredients are turned into liquid and congealed into the skin, burning the skin to make it invulnerable.”

This was the summary in the scroll to facilitate the cultivator’s understanding. The human body wasn’t a toy. Just like tattooing gliphs, this was putting foreign objects into the cultivator’s body, and carelessness or minor accidents might lead to backlash. It was an extremely dangerous process.

Things were similar for bronze skin – turning many different ingredients into liquid and absorbing it through cultivation to allow changes to take place to one’s body.

However, there was a price to pay for the changes. The pain the cultivator felt during the process was intolerable; it was as if they were skinned alive for the new skin to regrow.

Yes, that was exactly the feeling. This also explained why, amongst all Apex Temple disciples participating in the group competition, only three were able to cultivate it successfully. Everyone that was sent to participate in the inter-school exchange was a talent of their institution, but this process was simply too painful for ordinary boys to handle.

Chui Yim was prepared to feel such pain, but when he started the process, instead of feeling pain, he felt a little numb and itchy. He also noticed that a dim bronze replaced the medicinal powder floating on the bath.

Will my skin be this shiny after I succeed? It irked Chui Yim, but remembering what good shape Mute was in, he stopped worrying.

Cultivation went smoother than he thought, and he did not feel the sharp pain he expected. Other than some numbing, the process went well.

Today marked the last day of him cultivating bronze skin.

Seated in the bath cross-legged, he shone in bronze, which was a mighty scene. As he cultivated, bronze took over his body, and even his head was dyed bronze.

Chui Yim opened his eyes suddenly and stood up.

The medicine bath lost its original colour and became grayish. Some of this was the excretions of Chui Yim’s body as he improved and the dead skin that he lost. Clenching his fist, Chui Yim felt the changes that had taken place to his body.

He had already gained complete control of his body’s energy after breaking through in the Forbidden Forest.

Ten per cent. He was now ten per cent stronger than before.

It disappointed him slightly, as he had high hopes for this secret style, but very soon he remembered how powerful his body was to begin with. It would be insane if he improved greatly so soon.

Overall, it was worth it to use three months to improve his physical body.

Chui Yim left the bath and wiped his body clean, the bronze skin returning to his original skin colour. He realised that, like his flaming hair, it only appeared when he activated his energliph.

Watching Chui Yim, Kam Chin Kee smiled. “All done?”

“Of course. Nothing’s difficult for me.” Chui Yim laughed.

Knowing Chui Yim well, Kam Chin Kee said no more and laughed. “Let’s go out for a walk, shall we? It’s National Day today.”

Just then, Yeung Chun’s voice rang out. “Brother Chui, Brother Kam, you have a guest. She seemed to be urgent, she’s waiting for you both outside.”

“Oh, did she say what she’s called?” Chui Yim asked lazily.

“I think she had the surname of Woo. She’s a gorgeous lady.”

The teens exchanged glances and dashed towards the door.
