While the Blood Library was left in chaos, Lung Wai Yuet had already brought Chui Yim and Kam Chin Kee away. Lo Sing Yi, who received instruction through his master’s secret voice transmission, immediately escorted the disciples who had chosen a legacy out of the Blood Library and gave vague replies when asked about Chui Yim.

However, that aura scared the living daylight out of the disciples.

Even the well-known Graceful Footwork only had them feeling chills, not the extremely dominating pressure they previously felt. This had Chui Yim’s classmates thinking that he’d gotten an extremely powerful legacy.

Yet…

Wong Ba? The teenagers, including the geniuses who believed they were incredibly knowledgeable, exchanged confused glances. This was an unknown name, thus Wong Ba was definitely no well-known cultivator.

Could he be a mysterious elite?

When Kam Chin Kee and Chui Yim opened their eyes, they found themselves in a light red arena entirely made of wood. Even the ground was made of planks.

The light red color of the air was very familiar to the duo though – blood intent. Are we currently inside the Metallic Blood Giant Tower?

Lung Wai Yuet got the teens to take a seat after arriving at their destination, and she sat on a huge cushion at the end of the arena silently with her eyes shut.

Kam Chin Kee and Chui Yim exchanged glances and took a seat. They were not worried about their safety as it was a piece of cake for the five-chambered Lung Wai Yuet to take their lives; they would have been long dead if she had wished it, therefore it was likely concerning the legacy that Chui Yim had gotten.

“Wong Ba was my senior brother.” After a long silence, Lung Wai Yuet spoke suddenly.

“Huh? Senior brother?” Chui Yim was startled.

“Yes.” Lung Wai Yuet nodded. “He was my elder senior brother, meant to become the tower master as well as leader of the entire Metallic Blood War Gate.”

It was a rare sight for Lung Wai Yuet to be in a daze, reminiscing over the memories from centuries ago that she had kept untouched.

“My senior brother was a powerful one-chambered cultivator hundreds of years ago. Not only did he defeat all elites of his state, he also managed to defeat a three-chambered cultivator. This gained him the title of ‘the most powerful glipher in the last thousand years’ worldwide, and he was the only man in the world I knew who successfully defeated a cultivator two stages above himself.”

Kam Chin Kee’s jaw opened wide at the information he heard. At the same time, he and Chui Yim were left in confusion. Both of them were well-informed teenagers, and the existence of such an outstanding cultivator would certainly have been recorded.

As if noticing their confusion, Lung Wai Yuet continued, “Sadly… we could only lament destiny’s injustice.” This reminded Chui Yim of what he heard previously from the memory fragments.

“To be exact, my senior brother was such a genius that even the heavens envied and feared him. When Senior Brother broke through his innate chamber, he could not feel any of his other chambers. This meant that Senior Brother would only be a one-chambered glipher for the rest of his life.”

Surprise washed over Kam Chin Kee’s and Chui Yim’s faces, especially Chui Yim, who had watched the memory fragments directly. Chui Yim finally understood the strong emotions Wong Ba felt.

“My senior brother had an innate heart chamber, a quality suitable for the Metallic Blood War Gate’s legacy. Unfortunately, Senior Brother could not feel the rest of his chambers. Thus, my master made an exception, suggesting that Senior Brother improve his mental strength and become a gliphist to lengthen his lifespan. However, Senior Brother swore that he would never.”

Chui Yim recalled Wong Ba’s determined voice he heard in the fragments previously: “Say no more, my master. As a disciple of the Metallic Blood War Gate, I would never become a gliphist even if death comes for me!”

“This did not stop my senior brother from being an incredible one-chambered glipher that went around defeating countless three-chambered cultivators. But as time passed, he grew old, and many competitors from his younger days stepped into the four-chambered state. It was their turn to mock my senior brother, who was counting his days.

“At last, he became a helper in the Blood Library.

“Master even beseeched the Cloud Palace’s first teacher back then, who was an amazing glipheon, to treat my senior brother and lengthen his lifespan while seeking a method to break through. I was around during the consultation.”

Helplessness was evident in Lung Wai Yuet’s voice.

“All the first teacher said was… his marvellous talent sparked heaven and earth’s jealousy. First Teacher predicted that it was all because of Wong Ba’s extraordinary capability that would change the world if he grew, so the world itself forbade it.

“Even the first master felt apologetic for my senior brother. At the same time, he deeply regretted his powerlessness, which was the reason why all traces of Senior Brother were erased from the records.”

Vaguely, Lung Wai Yuet could still remember the determination in the first teacher’s eyes even after a long time. The words he spoke echoed in her ears; “Such an amazing talent should never be seen as a joke by the future generations.”

Again, Kam Chin Kee was left in disbelief. He felt that he was unable to process all he heard today. “Are you saying that… Cloud Palace… deleted information of madame’s senior brother from history?”

“Where do you think books and scrolls originate from?” Lung Wai Yuet glared at him. “More than ninety percent of them are works of Cloud Palace.”

Cloud Palace was not Chui Yim’s focus. Currently, all he felt was that the man he saw in the fragments was not just domineering, but lonely and helpless too.

No matter how talented one was, they were no competition for the heavens.

Lung Wai Yuet turned to Chui Yim with all seriousness. “I know that you’ve rejected my offer to become my disciple, but no matter what, you are now considered to be my senior brother’s successor, of the same line as me. It’s normal for me to address you as nephew.

“What Lee Bak gave you was a blood intent pearl congealed from an enormous amount of blood intent – the purest essence of blood intent. Swallow and digest it slowly, it’s ample enough to last until you reach the three-chambered state.

“I’ll take care of you on my senior brother’s behalf, and if you join our institution in the future, come to me after making it to the three-chambered state. I will teach you everything our faction knows as I believe Senior Brother in heaven would be happy to know about that.”

Chui Yim was unable to believe his ears. I’ve gotten such a good chance in such a muddle-headed way?

“Thank you, Senior Lung.” Remembering his etiquette, Chui Yim nodded immediately, only to see Lung Wai Yuet frown unhappily.

“Who are you addressing as Senior? I’m your aunt now.”

Kam Chin Kee watched this situation flabbergasted. How lucky is this kid!? To have such a great chance…chasing after him!

Thinking about how Lung Wai Yuet was already more than a hundred years old despite her young looks, Chui Yim did as told, which put a small smile on Lung Wai Yuet’s face.

“Cultivate my senior brother’s True Domineer well. My master once mentioned that a huge part of the reason why heaven envied my senior brother was due to this gliphility he created, which was so powerful it could go against heaven itself… I hope you’ll never have to go through whatever Senior Brother did.”

Chui Yim opened his mouth slightly but said no more.
