The group competition reached the most intense stage and was a feast for the audience’s eyes. It was turning dark, yet none of the audience wished to leave, and their eyes were fixed to the live footage just as they had been since morning. Torches were placed all around, lighting up the entire arena brightly!
Even better was that the footage projected by the ruby was actually clearer at night compared to the day, and the experience of watching the group competition in the dark left the audience gasping at how worth it the tickets were.
The main battle site was now on the seventh floor.
By now, there were only about twenty participants left, and anyone that could step onto this floor was not only the best but the luckiest amongst all the talents. Even if they had the ability to do so, some were eliminated after coming across powerful opponents on a lower floor. For example, after dealing with Chui Yim and friends, Sun Liu met Duen Por Do and almost gained a hole in his head.
Even for the Stars Unite Education Centre, one of the Big Three, only Kong Yau was left.
Things were better for the Great Book Academy. They had the capable Fok Fung, who hadn’t even drawn his sword yet, and Siu Suet and Ha Yu Bing who made a great team. With the gliphist’s Freezing Frost Blade supporting Siu Suet’s arrows that had huge destructive power, they reached the seventh floor successfully.
As for the Metallic Blood War Gate, they did the best amongst the Big Three. Lee Bak, Sung Hau, and Ching Lang Pak entered the seventh floor together easily, and other than them, there was still another disciple from their institution acting alone that entered the seventh floor as well.
Some spectating Metallic Blood War Gate members could not even recognise this participant. This was Suen San Kuk from Southern Ping’s Suen Clan.
On the seventh floor, the blood intent was already extremely thick – five times the first floor’s density! Similarly though, the blood spectres were much more powerful than the previous floors; they all had the power of a peak grade one gliphic beast! Of course, defeating one would grant an enormous amount of blood intent.
Not only this, much more blood intent was needed for the participants to be promoted to the eight floor. The requirement now was several times the requirement of the seventh floor!
However, to the talents who managed to make it to the seventh floor, they never feared the blood spectres.
Suen San Kuk seemed to be in a pitiful state; the wounds on his face were still trickling blood, and his blood-red uniform had already been torn due to all the battles he went through. Despite this, he was still determined, which made all the Metallic Blood War Gate elders nod in satisfaction at this Metallic Blood War Gate disciple.
This was not a simple journey for Suen San Kuk. He was from Southern Ping, a city of alchemy where even gliphism was inferior, only learned because it was required for alchemy and medicine. Not content to spend his entire life in Southern Ping, Suen San Kuk came to the Metallic Blood War Gate with great determination. After half a year, he improved both his power and his battle skills.
Even though he only had the ordinary Broken Rock gliph tattooed on his left leg chamber, he had made it to the seventh floor of the Metallic Blood Giant Tower by using his self-created gliphility, Riot, to defeat two blood spectres and a Cloud Palace outer sect gliphist.
Feeling the thick blood intent the moment Suen San Kuk stepped onto the seventh floor, he finally decided to give up on advancing and find a place to absorb blood intent. Sadly, things don’t always go one’s way.
Two figures came through the blood fog and stopped in front of Suen San Kuk. He sighed in pity but handled the matter calmly. “Who’s here?”
“Suen San Kuk…” a calm yet imposing voice rang. “I underestimated you. I thought about giving you a crown prince badge back at Southern Ping.”
Both newcomers came closer to Suen San Kuk. They were wearing white, but the first teen was like a sun shining brightly while the teen following behind him was dim like a shadow.
“So it’s Your Highness.” Suen San Kuk bowed politely while he was slightly shocked.
The audience was puzzled while watching Lam Zaa.
With Suen San Kuk, even though he had an ordinary gliph, the audience could tell he had great battle skills and a self-created gliphility, so they were able to understand why he did well.
But they could not understand why Lam Zaa and his shadow did well. Lam Zaa only needed a single slap to leave his opponents severely injured and unconscious, being sent out of the tower soon after. He was similar to Duen Por Do, not needing a second attack against anybody.
The audience did not know what was going on with Lam Zaa. Even some eliminated Cloud Palace outer sect disciples who stayed behind to watch were stunned at how powerful he was. This was a great improvement from a few months ago in the Forbidden Forest!
Lam Zaa laughed and shook his head slightly. “I’m just an ordinary Cloud Palace outer sect disciple, not a crown prince, just like how Brother Suen represents the Metallic Blood War Gate instead of Southern Ping’s Suen Clan here.”
“Great!” Suen San Kuk’s eyes shone brightly as he shouted. “I agree with Brother Lam completely!” The energliph surged from his body as he prepared to fight. “With Brother Lam’s words, I’m at ease. Everyone worked hard to reach this floor, and I, Suen San Kuk, won’t give up easily.”
Lam Zaa wore a solemn expression on his face and nodded. “I hereby ask Brother Suen to guide me!”
“Alright!” Suen San Kuk laughed. “Let’s have a fun fight!”
“Brother Lam, here comes my attack!” Without hesitation, Suen San Kuk rushed at Lam Zaa. As soon as he finished his words, the energliph burst from his left leg, and the energy of the Broken Rock gliph normally used for attack was perfectly grasped in his ankle, creating a burst of movement!
“Riot!”
A boom was heard. After half a year, he was even more familiar with this gliphility. Not only could he use it more than ten times, but there was also improvement in distance, speed, and other aspects!
As if Lam Zaa did not see the opponent charging at him, he gathered and activated energliph in his right palm and sent out a soft slap.
The slap that seemed like nothing special left Suen San Kuk badly shocked. In his eyes, it was not a palm but a wave! The wave-like energliph closed in on him, leaving him in disbelief. This movement was not something a one-chambered gliphist should have! Immediately, he forcefully stomped his left leg again.
He made use of Riot and made a sharp turn. Like lightning, he narrowly dodged Lam Zaa’s attack.
This was a weird scene to the audience. To them, Suen San Kuk charged fiercely and suddenly escaped like he saw a monster when Lam Zaa simply slapped at him. Some even started suspecting that Lam Zaa paid some of these geniuses to put on an act with him since he was the crown prince.
