“Sir, I don’t understand what you mean.” Kong Yau waved her sleeves slightly, making her stance known.

This didn’t surprise Cheuk Kwun. Since she was unwilling to point out the cons of her gliph, then he would do it for her.

“This gliph has several limitations, such as one’s cultivation style. It won’t work for cultivators who do not cultivate starlight energy styles. There are plenty of stars in the sky, acting like coordinates which allow the Star Lock gliph to swiftly locate their enemies.” With that, Cheuk Kwun folded his arms and closed his eyes to rest.

His words caused a huge commotion among the audience and judges. If what the middle-aged man said was true, Star Lock’s potential would be greatly reduced! Grandma Chin Shu turned to Kong Yau immediately. “Is that true?”

In truth, Kong Yau was unaware of this. While what Cheuk Kwun mentioned was true, a girl who solely cultivated the Stars Unite Secret had minimal knowledge of other cultivation styles, so this concern never crossed her mind. Even she was dumbfounded to hear about this.

Seeing Kong Yau’s confused expression, Grandma Chin Shu immediately understood that Kong Yau was similarly confused. Thus, Grandma Chin Shu drew the Star Lock gliph herself and gave it a try. Just like what Cheuk Kwun said, the moment the gliph formed, she felt an unknown interference as the gliph vanished in thin air.

“I don’t believe this!” Old Star Reacher huffed and immediately whispered a secret message to Kong Yau, who answered all his queries honestly. The next moment, gliph strings rose in front of the Old Star Reacher as he drew the gliph successfully!

“Hmph, I succeeded! I wonder how many of the Cloud Palace are not worthy of their status.”

All he received was a stare of disdain from Woo Nim, while Cheuk Kwun didn’t even open his eyes. Even Fa Siu Siu was laughing at the side. “Mr Senior Star Reacher, did you forget that you cultivate the same style as Kong Yau? Of course you’d succeed!”

Old Star Reacher was left in an awkward position. The audience burst into laughter instantly, making him turn red. Old Star Reacher said no more as he sat back down with a sneer!

“Alright,” Grandma Chin Shu stepped in to smooth things over. It made her happy to see Old Star Reacher embarrassed, but she had to do her job as the examiner, and she was unwilling to see Kong Yau become a joke. “Even though it’s restricted to Star Unite Style cultivators, the thought process behind this gliph is perfect. It’s still a high-class gliph.

“Next up, Mung Si.”

“Yes.” Mung Si stepped up with the bearing of a great clan disciple. She activated her energliph and presented her gliph. Traces of fire sliced through the air as her gliph strings intersected, causing space to distort as it took the form of a bird’s wings.

“Heavenly Pheonix Pinion.” Mung Si controlled the wings, making them land on her feet. It was as if her feet grew wings, lifting her up.

Whoosh!

Mung Si’s speed increased suddenly as she left a trace of fire in the arena!

“Such speed!”

“What type of gliph is that? It increased her speed by so much!”

But the Old Star Reacher didn’t praise her like the others, making nasty comments instead. “I guess that her outburst of speed was due to the powerful fire-attributed Blazing Skies Style, am I right?”

Being on bad terms with the Stars Unite Education Center, Fa Siu Siu seized every chance she could to embarrass them. “Elder Star Reacher, you’re not exactly right. The Blazing Skies Style might be powerful, but if her gliph was really of a bad quality, such great effects wouldn’t be seen. Who among her age had the ability to come up with a transportation gliph as good as this? If I’m right, it can increase one’s speed by fifty per cent, possibly even giving someone the ability to fly. Miss Mung, may I ask if you mean to sell this gliph?”

“As of now, no.” Mung Si landed on the ground calmly as the wings around her feet disappeared.

“What a pity. Please contact the School of Blossoms if you ever do.” Fa Siu Siu answered, not upset with Mung Si’s answer. Fa Siu Siu knew that the gliph was powerful enough to change the world, so she wanted to build a connection and pave her institution’s future.

Kong Yau clenched her fist in disappointment. Yuen Yau’s Three Lives Gate, Kong Yau’s Star Lock and Mung Si’s Heavenly Phoenix Pinion seemed to be equal, but the judges already had their answer.

The Heavenly Pheonix Pinion gliph was the limit for a single-gliphic gliphist, and considering that Mung Si created it today, it was full of potential and stood a chance in becoming a high-grade gliph, a signature transportation gliph for the Blazing Skies Mountain.

The Cloud Palace outer sect still won the competition. The audience was still able to accept the result well, as the scene of Mung Si flying around the arena was truly magnificent. Besides, Cheuk Kwun pointed out Star Lock’s weakness in no time and weakened Kong Yau’s case.

This marked the end of the gliphism segment and the start of the most important segment of the interschool exchange: the group competition where the disciples of the Big Three, Eight Institutions and all other institutions competed against each other for victory! The audience would get everything they wanted, from seeing a variety of gliphilities to cultivation styles!

It was so highly anticipated that the audience had to fight hard for every ticket, and it was said that even money couldn’t buy one.

…………

Boom! Loud sounds were heard coming from Chui Yim’s residence.

“Damn you, I pity the disciple going against you tomorrow.” Kam Chin Kee complained.

“Hahaha!” Chui Yim laughed proudly. “Of course! Are you interested in snatching first place tomorrow?”

“First place?” Kam Chin Kee laughed with hands behind him. “Maybe.”

“Can’t you cut your mysterious act out and reply honestly?“ Chui Yim rolled his eyes while Kam Chin Kee laughed bitterly. He still wasn’t used to Chui Yim’s casualness.

“This is called demeanour; I’m being humble. What do you know about that?”

“I only know that it’s bullshit. Hurry and come again!”

“No! It’s boring to fight you!”

“Damn you…Hurry up!”

“...Who forces other people to attack him!”
