Four hours had passed, but the audience was still feverishly excited.

It’s incredible for a person to recall more than 7,000 gliphs without any help or referring to books. He or she was basically a walking encyclopedia!

Chui Yim also watched the competition with great enjoyment from within the crowd. Subconsciously, he turned to Kam Chin-Kee. “If it was you, how many would you be able to identify?” All he got in reply was a smile.

“Tsk.” Chui Yim clicked his tongue. Both he and Kam Chin Kee knew that if Kam Chin Kee participated, he would be on par with the top competitors.

Besides the four leading participants, the fifth participant only managed to get a score of around 2,000. Among his peers, he would be considered a talent. But sadly, his competitors were monstrous geniuses.

Ha Yu Bing gritted her teeth and continued to push herself. But it was obvious that she was exhausted after she passed the 5,000 mark. On the other hand, Yuen Yau from the Apex Temple reached 6,000. He had dashing looks, but because of the weird training from Apex Temple, Yuen Yau was stoic, making it impossible to tell how he felt.

Only Kong Yau and Mung Si were still going strong. Gliphs kept appearing in Kong Yau’s mind continuously.

Like what rumours said, she was a child doted on by the heavens. On the day of her birth, the stars aligned and stellar energy entered her wind chamber. Not only did she gain a special body form, she also developed extraordinary mental strength. Truth be told, Kong Yau would have already achieved the ten-gliphic state if not for Chan Chung Ching’s instruction for her to build a strong foundation first.

One’s mental state was closely tied to their understanding and memory. Thus, she never had issues learning basic gliphism and could perform consistently well. When she named the 8,000th gliph, she subconsciously looked to her side, expecting to see Mung Si’s ugly expression.

Instead, she saw that Mung Si had already named more than 8,500 gliphs!

“What?” Kong Yau was left rooted to the ground.

Mung Si continued to name the gliphs without pause. To her, this competition was effortless. Of course, she was considered gifted to have dual innate chambers. But despite her talent, she wasn’t arrogant, entering the Refining Chamber Cave to become a gliphist. Her innate double chambers were her arm chambers which offered no help to her mental state. Thus, rather than her natural gifts, it was her strong mental strength that turned her into a genius gliphist.

The world had thousands of basic gliphs, and it was almost impossible for any ordinary person to remember them all. But what if Mung Si had drawn every she learned gliph repeatedly? If she drew every gliph ten times, she would have drawn 90,000 gliphs.

It was her determination that brought her to the Refining Chamber Cave and helped her mature. Kong Yau was gifted her amazing memory, but for Mung Si, this was her nature.

9,000!

Tiny beads of sweat formed on her forehead, but Mung Si remained unaffected. The light that reflected on her healthy skin created a beautiful sight. All the important figures on the grandstand skipped their breath. Why did such talent have to be born in the North?

But when Mung Si’s score had reached 9,000, the numbers on top of her head stopped. Mung Si looked at the gliph in front of her with a smirk.

“Oh?”

Kong Yau was definitely affected by Mung Si’s performance, and because she and Mung Si only had a small gap. she soon caught up when Mung Si paused. The next gliph appeared before Kong Yau, which she recognised as the Leaf Blade gliph. However, as soon as she uttered the words, the entire ball of light trembled slightly as the gliph vanished. With a bad feeling, Kong Yau looked up in shock to realise that the number above her head hadn’t changed, remaining at 9,261.

“What’s going on? Could it be…”

Many of the cultivators immediately noticed Kong Yau’s situation, especially Old Star Reacher. Kong Yau was his junior sister, after all. “Old lady Chin, what tricks are you playing?”

“Why blame me when she made a mistake due to her anxiousness?” Grandma Chin Shu replied, unaffected by his rude tone.

“To be honest, I’ve never seen anybody exceed nine thousand in this test,” She said slowly. “After the nine thousandth gliph, the Divine Tome of Heaven Domination would make small changes to the gliphs to trick the candidates. Any mistake the candidate makes will cause the gliphs to disappear, ending the test.”

“The time is going to be up soon; I think the winner will be revealed soon.” Grandma Chin Shu looked up to the sky as she spoke. The five hours were almost up.

Mung Si’s score was still increasing slowly but steadily. As for Yuen Yau and Ha Yu Bing, they had already given up as they knew their limits. Even so, they managed to score above 8,000.

Kong Yau and Mung Si were the only monsters to reach 9,000.

Kong Yau was preparing to answer the 9,262nd gliph when no further gliphs appeared.

“Where’s the gliph?”

Just as she was confused, she turned to Mung Si, whose score had reached 9,100.

“It’s the final half an hour!”

Kong Yau gritted her teeth. She was a smart girl, and thinking about the tremble that the ball of light made after she answered, she soon realised what had gone wrong. Staring at Mung Si, she hoped for the other to make a mistake as she did, but her hopes were sadly dashed.

Mung Si was slow, but her score kept consistently increasing.

The judges had goosebumps just looking at her. All correct? Just how intelligent is she? Even Kong Yau, blessed by the stars, made a few hundred mistakes!

How is it possible for Mung Si to be so accurate?

“Impossible! She’s definitely cheating!” Old Star Reacher muttered to himself.

“Nonsense!” Grandma Chin Shu wasn’t pleased with how the competition went too. “Why would I help a Northerner win? Moreover, the Divine Tome of Heaven Domination separates the participants from the outside world, making cheating impossible!”

After the time ended, Mung Si had named 9,317 gliphs. But all the judges knew that if Mung Si were given unlimited time, she likely would have named all 9,800 gliphs!
