On the surface, it seemed like Fung Seung valued Chui Yim highly but it was actually a trap. He made the teen sound to be as capable as a grandmaster so if Chui Yim loses this competition, it proved him undeserving of his reputation. Moreover, if Chui Yim make perfunctory comments out of courtesy, the crowd would believe that Chui Yim was indeed one to fish for fame and viewed him with disdain.

However, if he gave actual reviews or even made negative comments about water-casting, then his action would be viewed as challenging Mok Ching Sau, or even the entire faction!

The seemingly casual comments from Fung Seung were in fact a murderous blade.

Kam Chin Kee who was spectating glared daggers at Fung Seung. He rubbed his fingers slightly, which was an old habit he brought from his previous lives when he had the means to kill.

But Chui Yim did not think too much about it. As a human who reincarnated, he was still unable to forget “Flame”, his identity from his past life. “Flame” was the best blacksmith in the world and many people were pleading for him to give them pointers. Even if they received negative comments, they stared at him in admiration and thank him greatly for doing so. This was common for him.

Thus what Fung Seung asked him to do only requires a tiny effort.

“This sabre couldn’t make it.”

“So how did great master Chui come up with this conclusion?” Yau Suet Chung was not angered, but he was scorning at Chui Yim instead!

“Pass me the weapon.” Chui Yim walked up to Sze Fung who frowned because of the other’s rude behaviour. But currently, it wasn’t suitable for him to comment on the teen’s actions thus he did as told. Chui Yim turned to Sze Fung suddenly when he got hold of the sabre.

“You rarely use weapons, am I right?”

“Yes. My hands are my weapons.” Sze Fung was taken aback but replied honestly.

Chui Yim nodded like he expected this answer. “No wonder you know nothing about blades.”

The crowd burst into laughter hearing Chui Yim and some Metallic Blood War Gate disciples glared at Chui Yim with unfriendly looks. It was evident that what Chui Yim meant was that Sze Fung pretended to understand and praise Yau Suet Chung’s work when he know nothing about it!

Chui Yim ignored their reactions and continued. “Blade is an aggressive gliph weapon, also known as the commando of the weapons. It was be the most common weapon in the world since a thousand years ago and even today, it was still commonly seen on battlegrounds. This is because blades were easier to control during battle as well as to get hold of. It would be fine if this was a straight blade, but not as a nine-ringed sabre.”

Chui Yim waved the sabre around as if to test its weight. “Blades were meant for slashing, so they should be as heavy as they could. All blade users were dying to have a heavy blade, but you made this as light as a feather! I don’t know why you think it’s a selling point but its weight would be as if trash to all blade users!”

“What the hell are you saying? What are you calling trash?” Yau Suet Chung raged.

Chui Yim only spared him a look while Lui Pat Lok in his seat had his eyes lit up and wore a meaningful smile on his face.

“As for the rings on the sabre, what voice-attributed gliphity are you aiming for? Do you know that rings on nine-ringed sabre were to facilitate that user as well as add on to the blade’s weight? If you are trying to make a featherlight blade, why did you add rings to it to increase the weight? The rings are meaningless and I don’t even know what this weapon is. Blades are meant to be aggressive yet you made it lightweight. It would act as a good sword, but there are so many mistakes in your idea. You have quite a good basic in water-casting…but not much in terms of weapon knowledge!”

Chui Yim commented like an exasperated teacher to Yau Suet Chung, who was as red as a brick and pointed at him with trembling fingers. “You…”

“What about me?” Chui Yim did not let him go. “Am I wrong? How many blades are you aware of? Do you know the cross blade, the defence blade, ceremonial blade, divided blade, butterfly swords, oxtail sabre, crescent blade… Chui Yim named about twenty types of blades and left the crowd stunned.

“You don’t even know the varieties and you dared to show off your knowledge of blades in front of me?” Chui Yim sneered and threw the weapon back to Sze Fung. “You’re going off the track by practising more water-casting than gaining knowledge of weapons!”

Chui Yim’s powerful and resonating comment left Yau Suet Chung dumbstruck, and even Fung Seung, the cause of this whole situation frowned. He only heard seven out of all that Chui Yim mentioned!

The entire arena was so silent that one could hear a pin drop, but suddenly, a loud and piercing clap was heard. It’s Sky Raiser Blade, Lui Pat Lok! He was full of admiration when he looked at Chui Yim. “Indeed a monster that was on par with grandmaster Choh! Your understanding towards blades is superb. Could I ask for a weapon from you, little friend Chui?”

Chui Yim spared him a glance and guessed that Lui Pat Lok noticed what he did, but did not mention it because of Yau Suet Chung’s status. “We can discuss the price.”

“Then I’ll happily wait for little friend Chui to become grandmaster Chui.” Lui Pat Loknodded and took a seat slowly. He remained silent afterwards, leaving the other judges in an awkward position to comment on Yau Suet Chung’s work. But it would be inappropriate if they don’t.

Moreover, it makes it hard for them to give reviews after whatever Chui Yim mentioned. At last, Yau Suet Chung was awarded sixty-two points, making him the first participant to pass. Despite all the cons mentioned, his performance was already out of the world as a teenager. It was unfortunate that he was going against Chui Yim with terrifying skills.

Even up till now, Yau Suet Chung was still dumbfounded by Chui Yim’s words!

Whatever Chui Yim mentioned was his gains after two lives. In a world of gliphism, all careers derived from it were brought off track, and he was right about being useless as a blacksmith if Yau Suet Chung only understood gliphism well and not weapons!

After Yau Suet Ching, it’s Chai Fook Sau’s turn.

This time around, all judges learnt the lesson and kept quiet. Sze Fung’s ugly expression was proof of the “injury” he received. As the principal of Metallic Blood War Gate; an institution meant to nurture excellent gliphers for South, it makes no sense that he does not understand blades which were a type of weapon.

Sze Fung could foresee that after today, he would be his institution’s joke! The thought of this made him stare at Fung Seung in deep thought.

No malicious acts could escape the eyes of those with intentions. With that, he spoke up. “Since little friend Chui has a vast knowledge of forging, why not review grandmaster Fung’s disciple too?”
