The figure in the private room was revealed upon the formation’s deactivation. Turning around, the crowd was in disbelief and excited to discover that the person who spoke was Choh Hang Sang!

“It’s grandmaster Choh Hang Sang!”

“It’s really grandmaster Choh!”

“But why did he address that kid as his brother?”

“You don’t recognise the bald teenager? Tsk. Beneath his weird appearance, he is currently the South’s number-one forging genius! He’s only thirteen years old but already a great master. Many believe he’ll become the second divine master of the world!”

“The Divine master state isn’t that easily achievable, though.”

“At least he has hope of achieving it. I heard that the Siu Clan’s young mistress got one of his weapons from his “New Rich” series: New Rich Thirty-six, and her strength improved by at least thirty per cent!”

“Really?”

“Furthermore, even the famous great master Chau Ling lost to this teen!”

Chau Ling, who was watching, had an unhappy expression but he could do nothing. After all, his master and the teen were already like long-lost friends! Noticing Chau Ling’s expression, Choh Hang Sang sneered. “What’s there to mind? There’s no such thing as who comes first or last; the only thing that matters is who understands the most. He might be young, but he has already achieved a superb state in forging and has his own set of rules and understanding of forging rather than simply regurgitating facts. He’s of an even higher state than me in terms of forging.”

“Master…” Chau Ling was left shocked while Choh Hang Sang waved his hands.

“I’ve spent my life dedicated to forging, and if he can approach the divine state, I won’t even mind addressing him as master. How will you succeed in life if you keep brooding over something!? You three brothers care too much about fame, so you’re still stuck as a great master. How embarrassing is it for you all to be in the same realm as a thirteen-year-old!”

The more Choh Hang Sang spoke, the angrier he got towards Chau Ling, who could only keep quiet at the side.

“Old peasant Choh!” The middle-aged man from the red-grade private room slapped his chair. Next to him, the teen dared not utter a sound because he knew this was between his master and Grandmaster Choh. However, he was similarly hateful of the two teens!

By now, he could tell that the everlasting wood would not be his today. The other bidders were betting that they could find a way to utilise this item successfully, but it wasn’t the same for him. He already knew how to use it, and it would greatly improve his overall strength, possibly dominating those of his cultivation state!

Murderous intent washed over his eyes. If he had the chance, he would find out which of the teens was holding on to it and kill him for the wood! The middle-aged man only needed a single gaze to know what the other party was thinking.

“Duen Por Do, get that nonsense out of your head.” He glared at him. “You’re the only descendant of the Duen Clan; how am I supposed to explain things to your father when I meet him in the nine springs!”

This teenage boy had the surname “Duen”, and the middle-aged man knew that Duen Por Do was the last descendant of the Duen Clan, the descendants of Duen Fei. Duen Fei might’ve been known as the Sword God, but his title actually belonged to his sword. Despite defeating a five-chambered elite with the sword, he was still a four-chambered glipher who could only live for a century.

After Duen Fei passed on, the sword vanished, and the Duen Clan he built fell under the hands of many others within a few decades. Today, Duen Por Do was the only remaining member, and he was under the care of this middle-aged man, one of the few grandmaster blacksmiths of the South, Fung Seung!

The Duen Clan had a secret technique to utilise the everlasting wood and allow it to produce similar effects, even if it was just a hundred years old. Knowing this, Fung Seung knew that if he acquired the everlasting wood and created a divine gliph weapon for Duen Por Do, he would become similarly famous if the teen became the next Sword God.

However, Choh Hang Sang ruined everything!

10,000,000 silver taels wasn’t an amount all clans could afford to pay. The world was shocked at how the Wong Clan spent 6,000,000 taels for a statue. If Fung Seung wasn’t a grandmaster, he would have never earned so much money from being a blacksmith! Thus, he couldn’t believe how two teens could spend money so lavishly! Even if they were the core talent of a clan, they shouldn’t have been given so much pocket money! Look, even the Fok Clan only spent a few hundred thousand taels to buy Fok Fung the Soul Destroying Sword.

Of course, who would’ve expected one of the teens to be the renowned Craftsman Kam?

At last, Chui Yim and Kam Chin Kee spent 14,000,000 silver tales on the everlasting wood. Not just so, they also put a wide smile on the old auctioneer’s face.

“See, I told you. I’m great.”

“Brother…brother…don’t say anymore….buying an item worth ten million…I have never spent so much money at once in my life…”

“Useless kid.” Chui Yim clicked his tongue. Kam Chin Kee watched Chau Cheng and Chui Yim bicker from the side while in deep thought. After attending two auctions together, he could tell how different he and Chui Yim were.

He always hid in the back behind Madame Yuen, and he would never let anyone besides Chui Yim know that he was Craftsman Kam. Similarly, he wouldn’t be like Chui Yim, not activating the gliph formation and letting others get a clear view of what was happening. In fact, nine out of ten private room guests would choose to activate it to prevent unwanted attention, as nobody would know who owned certain treasures.

Take Kam Chin Kee as an example; what would be the consequences if his identity as Craftsman Kam’s identity became known; people would go to his residence to ask for statues, and he might even be kidnapped and forced to carve statues for a clan his entire life.

On the other hand, Chui Yim did not worry about everything and did everything high key. He flipped everywhere he went upside down, yet he was still alive and kicking. But if not for this straightforwardness, Choh Hang Sang would not have recognised him and stepped in to help them.

Maybe that’s why they say fortune favours the naive.

“Are we going to let it go like this, master?” Duen Por Do glared at the private room below him in fury.

“Of course not! But what can we do in South Imperial City? That bald kid is like the sun in the city right now, and we can’t touch someone the entire world is watching,” Fung Seung huffed. “ But the interschool exchange is just around the corner; if you’re confident, provoke them into betting the everlasting wood as part of the exchange. Nobody can criticise you if you win it back then. After years of humiliation, it’s now time for you to shine.”

“I definitely won’t let Master down.” Duen Por Do nodded.
