“This energliph movement…”

“What’s going on?”

“I’ve never felt such strong energliph ever!”

“C’mon, let’s go and take a look!”

The strong energliph movement attracted many to the battle site.

Lee Bak pointed his sword to the front as he guarded his body with the small shield around his left arm.

A few little blue beasts clinked against the shield, making his arm sore as he thought, Is he controlling the tiny ones and the huge wolf simultaneously? What kind of technique is this?

Lee Bak was pleasantly surprised to witness such a unique skill. He breathed deeply, and with every breath he took, something spread throughout his body beneath his red cloak.

There was an odd gliph on Lee Bak’s chest. It was the Chinese character “river”, which consisted of merely three strokes. However, each stroke consisted of countless tiny strokes that expanded across his chest as he breathed.

Lee Bak’s eyes glowed red, and his speed suddenly increased.

“Oh?”

Kam Chin Kee stood rooted to the ground. The wooden wolf appeared before him out of nowhere, blocking Lee Bak’s attack with its monstrous face as a shield!

“An enhancement gliphility?”

“Yes,” Lee Bak answered honestly. “I call it the Blood Body.”

The Blood Body was created with Blood River, the secret gliph passed down the Metallic Blood War Gate. It boosted the cultivator’s overall ability for a short period by injecting energliph into the blood to make it boil.

Lee Bak rained down slashes and thrusts upon Kam Chin Kee from all directions, but no matter where he struck, the wooden wolf would be there to defend its master. However, Kam Chin Kee had no chance of counterattacking either. Lee Bak could tell that his enemy was a middle-range fighter judging from his techniques, be it the mystical puppets or gliph-related skills. .

Lee Bak believed the only way to win this battle was to close the distance, and he was right. Kam Chin Kee’s puppeteering skills were unsuited for close combat, and he was already struggling to block Lee Bak’s attack.

I still belittled him. Even though Lee Bak had the upper hand, he knew well the situation he was in.

Blood Body brought about a powerful boost, but how long could it last? It worked by injecting energliph into the cultivator’s blood, and using it for a long period was harmful to him and caused massive blood loss. When Lee Bak had first created this gliphility, his master Lung Wai Yuet had warned him not to use it for over five minutes.

Five minutes, is it? Determination flashed past Lee Bak’s eyes. That’s it. Time to end this!

The sword in his hands turned red. Of course, the Metallic Blood War Gate’s Tower Master’s direct disciple was equipped with a treasure. The sword he wielded was the Blood Shadow, a grade one gliph weapon with the Double Shadow Strike gliph carved on it using a shadow leopard’s tail as the ingredient. For its next three attacks, it would inflict double the damage!

An attack landed on the wooden wolf with a loud boom, triggering the double strike effect. The enhanced strength caused even the spiritual hill wood to crack slightly. However, Lee Bak didn’t stop as he dashed behind Kam Chin Kee. Even so, Kam Chin Kee willed the wooden wolf to defend his back without turning.

As the wooden wolf blocked another attack, it rumbled from the heavy blow. Still, Lee Bak wasn’t deterred as he disappeared once again.

Not on my front, back, or sides… Kam Chin Kee looked up abruptly to see a black figure standing in the sun, closing in on him like a descending god. It was pointing the Blood Shadow directly at his head from above!

Kam Chin Kee was moving his fingers so fast that only illusions could be seen. Surprisingly, the wooden wolf made it to above his head just in time!

“This will end the battle!” Lee Bak was now entirely red as he growled.

Boom! The wooden wolf shattered from the huge impact. However, Lee Bak was shocked to see tiny needles scattering towards him.

A hidden mechanism!

Countless needles pierced Lee Bak. With Blood Body still active, only a handful managed to  His red body, still buffed by Blood Body, only managed to repel a few needles.

“Ugh──” The Double Shadow Strike from Lee Bak’s sword unleashed a shadow-like attack that struck Kam Chin Kee and sent him fumbling back by a few meters.

Both of them exchanged glances of admiration. Kam Chin Kee patted the jade on his waist to retrieve a bottle, which he threw at Lee Bak. “The needles are poisonous. It’s not deadly, but it’s better to cure it sooner than later.”

Lee Bak’s skin was no longer as red as before, and the areas that the needles struck started to itch.

“Thanks.” He nodded. He didn’t find Kam Chin Kee’s skills childish or dirty; you had to use everything you could in a life-or-death battle.

Kam Chin Kee shook his head and answered, “There’s no need, you held back as well. I might have died if that attack landed on my throat.”

“And I believe you’ll have your ace when that happens, right?” Lee Bak replied calmly.

“Haha, back at you.” Kam Chin Kee let out a hearty laugh. He found the other party interesting. It was a pleasant surprise to learn that both of them had saved their trump cards even when the battle reached such a state.

They soon heard people dashing towards them. Some were from the Metallic Blood War Gate, while others were from the Cloud Palace outer sect. This didn’t surprise those from the outer sect as they didn’t know who Lee Bak was, but Lee Bak’s schoolmates were shocked.

Tower Master Lung Wai Yuet’s direct disciple fought the most famous orphan in the South who supposedly went to the Cloud Palace outer sect just for the valuable title and benefits as their student, and it ended in a tie?

The Metallic Blood War Gate disciples stood behind Lee Bak subconsciously. He was their leader, after all. Meanwhile, the outer sect disciples were scattered. They didn’t plan on helping Kam Chin Kee and were just here as spectators.

“I admire brother Lee’s perfect sword and shield coordination.” Kam Chin Kee smiled.

“Lee Bak now also knows how great the Cloud Palace outer sect is. Indeed a place for hidden talents. I hope to meet brother Kam again in future interschool exchanges.” Lee Bak wiped his sweat and saluted.

“You’re too polite.”

“Goodbye,” said Lee Bak. He wasn’t fully depleted of his energy, but the Blood Body had used up half of his energliph and energy. No longer in his best state, he didn’t intend to linger around.

Just then, a cold voice rang out. “What bullshit courtesy is this? Did you think finding a random nobody from the Metallic Blood War Gate to put on act with you would work? Kam Chin Kee, you’re just a dog clinging onto the fame of the Lam dynasty.”

The comment was so unpleasant that even the other outer sect disciples frowned.
