The raging Blossom Sea came like a ferocious tiger, but the Bronze Wall remained unfazed at the fierce attacks.

Chilly wind of the night entered the destroyed tent as moonlight shone onto Man Yee Ho and Yeung Tin Hun’s pale faces, adding a hint of tiredness to their faces. They were born geniuses, but the three-chambered glipher’s ability was still too far ahead of them.

Blossom Sea bounced off the Bronze Wall and turned the tent into an utter mess. Yu-Man Lung who was spectating from outside had his jaws dropped wide. If he hadn’t sensed Yeung Tin Hun’s state previously, he would’ve believe that Yeung Tin Hun was a three-chambered glipher!

How can a one-chambered glipher wield such a scary gliphility?

Once the fear wore off, jealousy took over him. As the sacred son of the tribe, Yu-Man Lung was well-respected, and the only person above him was his father. However, he was nothing but a joke to the young master of Four Season Heaven. The young man did not even need to move a finger to have Yu-Man Lung’s entire tribe wiped out if he willed it!

Anger from jealousy made Yu-Man Lung lose his mind and screamed, “Kill them, uncle Cheng!”

Things might have been better if he had kept his mouth shut, but his scream directed Yeung Tin Hun’s attention to him.

Cheng Hak’s heart dropped when he realised this. Yeung Tin Hun’s gliphility did nothing to him, he was still caught in the state where he had just used up his energliph and unable to muster new energliph in time. With an angry shout, he swept his legs at Man Yee Ho’s gliph to destroy it.

Guh! Still sitting on the floor, Man Yee Ho coughed up a mouthful of blood but continued to strangle Cheng Hak tightly with his energliph.

At the same time, Yeung Tin Hun made a move. He was nearing his limit, but he still lunged at Yu-Man Lung with great momentum. Compared to the shimmering spear, his chilly gaze at Yu-Man Lung was far sharper. He had only spared the spoiled teen’s life earlier because he was under his father’s care. Unfortunately, he had his mercy repaid with vengeance.

Yeung Tin Hun had always killed without hesitation in both his lives. He decided he had enough of this mess. With his mind set, he aimed at Yu-Man Lung with his spear.

Cheng Hak widened his eyes in fury. With a shout, he used all the energliph he had and fired off a raging storm of kicks, throwing Man Yee Ho back several steps and crushed the gliph hanging from the tent!

The brutish move left Cheng Hak with internal injuries, but he swallowed the blood in his throat and disappeared from the spot without a trace.

All that remained in Yu-Man Lung’s eyes was utter fear. As Yeung TIn Hun closed in rapidly on him with a freezing glare, he could only stand rooted to the spot with trembling legs despite his ability as a two-chambered glipher.

Yu-Man Lung had lost his will to put up a fight. All Yeung Tin Hun had to do was dash forward with the spear that had Divine Speed carved on it; a simple thrust without using gliphilities was more than deadly against an immobile target.

Yu-Man Lung shut his eyes tight and heard the mushy sound of a spear stabbing into flesh. When he opened up his eyes, he realised a warm body stood in front of him. It wasn’t Yu-Man Chong who had just arrived, but Cheng Hak.

As the fluttering snow gently danced in the night sky, precious memories swirled within Cheng Hak’s mind. He paid no attention to the spear in his heart as he stared at the snow, as well as the elf-like teenage girl  who giggled while prankishly throwing snowballs at him.

The Heaven Sacrifice Tribe was not his hometown. Perhaps it was the snowballs, or perhaps it was the giggling that made him stay.

I’m homeless, and home is where my heart is.  This place has it captured, I shall call it home.  How do you think if I tl it like this?

The snowball, the giggling, the teen girl, that fateful night, and the boy was what made him stay.

Cheng Hak’s vision became blurry, his eyes still locked ontothe teen that hugged him in his hands. He saw the girl once again, experienced that night all over. With a chuckle, he whispered something to the boy and left with the girl waiting for him in the snow.

Yu-Man Chong rushed over to witness Cheng Hak passing on in his son’s embrace. Yeung Tin Hun and Man Yee Ho were also in sorry figures. He heaved a sigh of relief to see that Yu-Man Lung was all fine; the kid was his successor, after all.

As for Cheng Hak? Yu-Man Chong couldn’t care less. He was no more than a dog to him.

“Little brother Yeung, I apologise for the trouble my servants have caused on their own accord. Send for the medic! Treat little brother Yeung and his friend!” Yu-Man Cong wiped the cold sweat off his forehead as he prayed silently that Yeung Tin Hun would not press this matter any further. My small tribe is no opponent for the mighty Four Season Heaven!

Yeung Tin Hun’s eyes landed on Cheng Hak for a good while before he looked away. He and Man Yee Ho were alright, and Cheng Hak had paid the price with his life, so it would be unreasonable of him to demand anything more. With a sneer, he left.

Yu-Man Lung held onto the corpse that was slowly turning cold, with no one but himself to face the unbearable loneliness.

Late at night, Kan Hang put Lam Ming Sum back in bed and took a stroll in the palace. As a member of the Shadowforge Hall, he lived in the Evergreen Palace from a young age. The maze was a familiar route to him. After a short stroll through a bamboo forest, he arrived at his destination.

The scent of medicine and elixir welcomed him. The pretty lunar rays passed through the slits of the forest, adding on to the mystic vibes of the place.

Creak…

The door opened, and a middle-aged man walked out. He flashed a smile at Kang Hang and said, “Come in, brother Kan.”

“Doctor Kuen.” Kan Hang bowed. A teen was making tea when he arrived at the place.

If Chui Yim was present, he would definitely recognise this teen to be his classmate who battled for the fire bead with him back at the auction house, Woo Hung.

Woo Hung immediately bowed to Kan Hang and poured him a cup of tea.

“Siu Hung, I would like to have a chat with brother Kan in private.” Kuen Hip smiled thinly.

“Yes, sir,” Woo Hung replied respectfully and left after bowing to Kan Hang and Kuen Hip again. He closed the door on his way out to give them personal space.

“Brother Kan.” Kuen Hip took a sip of tea, “How’s the injury on your hand?”

“I can move normally now. Thank you, Doctor Kuen.” Kan Hang nodded.

Kuen Hip chuckled. He was a gregarious gentleman. Those who didn’t recognise him would never think that he was the current imperial physician, grandmaster Kuen Hip.

“It is only natural to treat brother Kan who ended up injured while saving Princess Ming Sum who was living outside the palace alone,” Kuen Hip said before sighing and shaking his head. “However, it’s a pity that poison has already seeped into your blood. This much is to the best of my ability. Perhaps brother Kan should seek Southern Ping’s Divine Doctor, Doctor Mo-Yung for help.”
