Chui Yim entered Chor Chong Hoi’s room to see a young lady taking care of him. At a closer look, he realised it was Chor Sing Hon, mother of Chor Fung, the youngster who nearly ruined Chor Kwong Lan’s life by stabbing him.

Chor Sing Hon’s expression changed when she saw Chui Yim walk over. She knew that Chui Yim could’ve easily handed her son over to the Northerners but chose not to. It didn’t matter how she perceived Chui Yim; it was undeniable that she owed Chui Yim a favour.

“You are this old man’s…”

Despite knowing that Chui Yim was often rude, Chor Sing Hon couldn’t help but frown. “He’s my father.”

So Chor Fung’s his grandson? Chui Yim’s eyes widened when he heard her. However, he didn’t ask anything else and went to look at Chor Chong Hoi’s situation. The old man’s condition stunned him.

Chor Chong Hoi might look like any other old man, skinny and frail, but he was full of energy and vitality. However, his face had now turned yellowish, and his breathing was faint. Instead of feeling his pulse, Chui Yim put his ear to Chor Chong Hoi’s noise before moving to his throat and chest.

“This is…” Chui Yim gasped as he tried to recall the medical books he had read.

Death energy again?

“Why took you guys so long to tell me about this!” Chui Yim shouted furiously. “Sit him up and remove his shirt!”

Chor Sing Hon didn’t know what was going on, but she could tell that things were worse than expected. After multiple incidents, she knew that Chui Yim was a skilled doctor despite his young age. She followed his instructions without hesitation.

Chui Yim sat behind Chor Chong Hoi with an ugly expression as he mumbled to himself,  “His condition… Hopefully I’m fast enough.” Spreading his hands, he revealed a set of needles wrapped in an ordinary cloth. When he removed the cover, a gentle light emanating from the needles filled the room.

The Thirty-Six Night Lunar Needles—a treasure which once belonged to a supreme gliphist!

Taking a deep breath, Chui Yim picked up a golden needle and turned to Chor Sing Hon. “Leave the room. Do not let anybody in.”

Chor Sing Hon nodded and cast a worried look at her father. “Wait!” Chui Yim reminded her. “Remember, even the emperor can’t come in! We’re talking about the old man’s life!”

“I understand,” Chor Sing Hon replied, worry written all over her face. She immediately rushed to find Chor Koo, another faction leader of the clan.

Chor Koo was now the temporary clan leader as Chor Chun Ping still hadn’t returned, and Chor Chong Hoi was in a coma. His expression turned serious when he heard Chor Sing Hon. Unlike Chor Chong Hoi, Chor Koo and his faction backed Chor Huet Zhin’s faction, except he had never publicly shown his support. He also fully supported Chor Chun Ping when he became the new clan leader.

He knew how highly Chor Chun Ping viewed Chui Yim through their conversations, and Chui Yim’s status was further proven when Chor Chong Hoi said that the youngster could represent their clan against the Northerners.

Chor Koo heeded Chui Yim’s instruction without hesitation. “Form the Spiral Dragon Formation and secure the room! No one shall enter th room!”

“Yes sir!”

Mo-Yung Yin exited the transportation gliph formation. He had received a notice from the Evergreen Palace to come and treat Wong Pak and Chor Chong Hoi. Even though he was in the divine rank, he couldn’t refuse such a request, especially when the South was currently going through rough times.

Treating the both of them wasn’t particularly difficult.. The thing was, the Chor Clan reminded him of the hateful kid. What angered him further was that the assassin he had paid for failed.

Finding an assassin willing to operate in South Imperial City wasn’t easy, and the price was out of this world. After Silent Cat failed, the request became infamous among the assassins, and even those of similar skill as Silent Cat dared not accept the offer.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t hire a better assassin, but the cost would be so astronomical that it would pain him despite his wealth. That was the reason why Chui Yim was still alive right now.

The thought of this made his head hurt. After some time, he took a deep breath to calm himself down before making his way to the Chor Mansion located on Blue Dragon Avenue.

Locating the Chor Mansion was easy, and for someone of his cultivation state, travelling there took mere seconds. Upon his arrival, he could feel the murderous aura of the Chor Clan disciples; he silently nodded in admiration.

The famous Chor Clan was the leader of the four generals not only because of Chor Huet Zhin’s management and strength. The clan’s foundation was also a major factor;dDespite being a powerful clan, they were never arrogant and always followed commands diligently like an army.

Mo-Yung Yin admired their attitude and even considered how he could implement this in the Mo-Yung Clan. As he approached the entrance, he was blocked.

“Identify yourself!”

“Mo-Yung Yin of the Mo-Yung Clan.” Mo-Yung Yin glanced at the disciple who blocked him as he cleared the way.

“Divine Doctor Mo-Yung, please enter.”

Mo-Yung Yin didn’t spare him another look as if it hurt his status to do so and directly entered. In no time, Chor Koo came to welcome him. “Greetings, Doctor Mo-Yung.”

“Where is Chor Chong Hoi?’ Mo-Yong Yin inquired calmly. All he wanted to do was finish this task quickly before heading over to the Wong Clan.

“Faction Leader Chor Chong Hoi is currently receiving treatment,” Chor Koo replied after some hesitation.

“Treatment?” Mo-Yung Yin was stunned. “By who?”

“A friend of our clan, little brother Chui.”

“Nonsense!” Mo-Yung Yin’s face fell upon hearing Chui Yim’s name. “He’s too young to take on such burdens!”

“I apologise, but little brother Chui emphasised that nobody should be let in.” Chor Koo shook his head.

Mo-Yung Yin’s face turned black as charcoal.

Who am I? The only divine doctor in the world! Nobody in this world is my superior in medicine, but I’m now being denied entrance because of a kid who’s barely fifteen! What an insult!

“I’m here on the Emperor’s orders! Does the Chor Clan intend to defy his edict!”

“Please hold on, Doctor Mo-Yung. We will let you enter after little brother Chui finishes his treatment,” Chor Koo answered with the signature poker face of the Chor Clan.

Mo-Yung Yin laughed in anger after hearing this. But before he could say anything, a huge change suddenly took place!
