Steelhead went all out to repel the four-chambered elite’s attack. Raising the head in his hands like a gigantic shield, he yelled as he inserted his black energliph into it, turning the head green. “Devil Mask Stun!”

Along with a loud boom, two huge Black Dragon Claws grabbed onto the horrifying head, making Steelhead bleed profusely.

“Hmph!” A cold sneer rang out. Chor Chong Hoi felt an unknown danger and instantly moved backwards!

A black glow appeared. It was so bright that it was clearly visible despite the dark sky. It moved so fast that Chor Chong Hoi couldn’t retreat in time despite his fast reaction. The light slammed into his chest and sent him flying.

It was unknown if Chor Chong Hoi survived. A shadow descended from the skies and shrouded the three necrocultivators before disappearing, leaving only a ray of black, blazing flames in the skies.

Whoosh…

The sounds of countless people running rang throughout all of South Imperial City. Those that dared step forward now were no ordinary people. To be exact, they were all cultivators of at least the four-chambered or hundred gliphic rank.

Amongst them was an angry old man who turned the skies gold as he roared, “ Prepare to die since you dared enter South Imperial City!”

The gold sky was actually a ferocious tiger which swang its tail like a snake! The elderly man who summoned the tiger illusion lunged as the tiger’s tail as he swung his staff towards the black flame in the skies.

However, the black flame didn’t seem to care. “Do you really think you can keep me here?”

The black flame vibrated slightly. The hidden silhouette placed his right hand in front of him, instantly devouring and dispelling the tiger illusion. The old man collapsed onto the ground.

This horrified the crowd of cultivators watching. What was that…

That was the Wong Clan’s Clan Leader, Wong Pak! A peak four-chambered glipher was defeated so easily; just how powerful was that mysterious figure?

呼!

Whoosh!

Water vapour appeared out of the blue, turning into a mountain range and shooting towards the black flames. At the same time, a figure showed himself. “Everyone from South Imperial City! This old man shall handle him, stay together and slay the fiends!”

His appearance calmed the crowd down. Old Ngai might be a mysterious existence, but all the elites from South Imperial City knew who he was and regained their confidence the moment they saw him.

“Heh. I won’t be wasting my time with you,” the black flame huffed in disdain and fled, leaving a long trail of black flames behind him.

“You’ll never escape!”

The elites chased him furiously. As the citizens of the greatest city in the world, how could they have allowed someone to sneak in and out of the city so easily? If the invaders  escaped, it would be an embarrassment to the entire South!

So what if the other party was a five-chambered glipher? Death had to be the only outcome.

Before the Chor Clan faction leaders could chase after them, an old, weak voice rang out. “Everyone from the Chor Clan, stop chasing! Search the premises and find their motive for breaking into the mansion!”

Chor Shing Chit caught Chor Chong Hoi. Both of them were seriously injured, but they didn’t have the luxury of being able to rest. “Hurry up!”

Numerous Chor Clan disciples ran off immediately, and a scream was soon heard.

“Great Elder, bad news!” A young boy was pale as a sheet of paper as he dashed over. It was Chor Kwong Laan.

“Speak!” Chor Chong Hoi ordered.

“Our… Our previous Clan Leader... Great Elder Chor Huet Zhin’s tomb was raided, and his coffin is now missing!” Chor Kwong Laan cried in disbelief and anger.

Chor Chong Hoi widened his eyes in disbelief and fainted.

Whoosh…

This marked the start of a ferocious chase. The black flame flew at breakneck speed through the skies, tearing the clouds apart. It was so quick that even the powerful cultivators of South Imperial City couldn’t catch him, and those who tried to surround him were either seriously injured or outright killed. He was unstoppable!

Fear was instilled in the cultivators from South Imperial City. When did necrogliphism, which has declined for years, give birth to such a powerful elite?

Necrocultivators commonly possessed greater strength than ordinary cultivators. This was proven in the Chor Clan earlier; their four-chambered faction leaders and disciples could barely stop three three-chambered necrocultivators. Now, the person they were chasing after was obviously of an even higher rank!

So does this mean that he’s the best cultivator in the world?

Suddenly, water vapour appeared in front of the black flame once again.

Old Ngai stepped out of the vapour screen. He didn’t seem even slightly bothered despite the person killing many people. Water vapour formed the mountain range once again, and a waterfall ten metres thick turned into a rope to tie the figure up!

The black flame got increasingly hot. Despite being unable to tie him up, the rope still slowed him down. At this moment, a bright light lit up from the figure’s feet. It shone brightly in the dark, blinding everybody around him.

The figure within the dark flame had failed to realise he was passing by a towering institution. Unlike the poor Cloud Palace outer sect, this institution was larger than most clans. The blinding glow came from the centre of the institution’s grounds..

This was none other than the Metallic Blood War Gate. In the middle of the institution stood its forbidden area, the Metallic Blood Tower. It was the precious building where their students were tested.

No one knew when a figure had appeared at the tower’s top. Tall and slender, the person was a lady.

She wore a blood-coloured cloak and light armour that only covered her chest, wrists, ankles and private parts, exposing her snow-white skin to the air. The contrast between her armour to her beautiful white skin made the gorgeous woman even more stunning. However, a cold expression was plastered on her alluring face.

Within her was a strong murderous intent forged from surviving several wars. It was hard to imagine how many battles one had to see to develop such an aura.
