Szz…

The Chor Clan disciple started to decay from his neck, turning into ashes within a few moments.

Three figures emerged from the bush. “I didn’t expect a mere two-chambered Chor Clan disciple to be so alert.”

“He couldn’t have seen through my Mirage gliph formation. It might’ve been our footsteps that he noticed,” the lady in the middle replied in a whisper before being cut off by a hush from the third figure.

“Stop talking and hurry up. The Chor Clan is very hard to deal with. They will soon discover the missing disciple.”

“Okay,” the lady replied. She raised her head as a wisp of black smoke rose from her left shoulder.

Thick black smoke formed into a solid ball, spreading a pair of wings and carrying the trio. It then fused with the surroundings, turning almost invisible.

“Hmm?”

Chor Shing Chit was currently sitting in his room. He had been having difficulties trying to cultivate Ink’s Will this particular night. Unable to discern why, he spontaneously decided to take a break.

Taking a walk around Chor Mansion did indeed calm him down. Despite his home looking like an army camp, Chor Shing Chit still found it comfortable no matter how pressurising it seemed; that was simply how weird humans were. The Chor mansion made of glibony somehow made him feel safe.

It dawned on Chor Shing Chit that this might be what his ancestors had been pursuing  when they had built this Mansion.

Suddenly, alarms went off in his mind; the dragon head gliph on his chest opened its eyes wide! Black gas rose into the sky and turned into armour in no time—Ink Shield!

Pff!

A noise came from behind him, but the half-second delay was enough for him to make a turn around and make a flick. He deflected a black dagger and felt an intense pain spreading from his fingertips.

Poison! He immediately stopped the poison from flowing into his body with his energliph!

“Eh!?” But when Chor Shing Chit looked up, three people were standing in front of him—two males and a female.

The aura that he felt made his face change. He suddenly realised he might lose if he had to fight any of them alone!

“You’re Chor Shing Chit, huh? You aren’t bad for surviving my strike.” The man on the left nodded as he looked at Chor Shing Chit admiringly but without good intent. “It’ll be interesting if you became an ingredient for my gliphs.”

With that, a black gas emitted from the man’s right palm, turning solid as it turned into a dagger.

Chor Shing Chit was shocked.

That’s a familiar aura! That’s the same aura the Yellow Spring Lady had in Southern Ping! They are necrogliphism cultivators!

The man obviously didn’t care about Chor Shing Chit‘s shock. With a thin smile, the dagger arrived in front of him the next instant.

Clink!

A rod surrounded by a huge gale suddenly landed in front of Chor Shing Chit. “Why are you losing focus!”

Chor Sing Chit was familiar with that gliph weapon; the Breaking Wind Rod from the Metallic Blood War Gate that belonged to Chor Sing!

“Jet, what are you doing? Kill them with all you’ve got!” After failing twice, the man on this side grew furious.

Jet put on a serious expression. He thought he could easily defeat any two or three-chambered weaklings, but it didn’t seem like it now. He was slightly surprised by what just happened, and his companion’s shout made him take things seriously. Black smoke radiated from his chest, where a huge, scary-looking giant hand with a single eye in the palm was drawn.

Only Jet heard the sounds of  the black-coloured chains going down his right arm from the Deadly Palm gliph on his chest. A dark shadow floated up from his right arm, curling around his waist with daggers tied onto it.

“Go!” Jet growled. “Viper Fangs!”

Numerous daggers shot out as if a giant snake opened its mouth with daggers as its fangs!

What a terrifying gliphility! Chor Shing Chit pulled Chor Sing aside. “Hurry and leave! I’ll hold them back!”

“Members of the Chor Clan can only die and never run!” Chor Sing sneered. He felt the powerful attack in front of him as he launched his strongest gliphility, Third Wind!

Translucent blasts of air shot out. Upon landing on the slithering giant snake, they dispersed immediately!

The lady in the middle looked unfazed; the youths battling them were already dead to her. The black insect hovering above them flapped its wings as it got ready to leave the moment Chor Shing Chit and Chor Sing died.

Chor Sing was no weakling. As a Chor Clan member who grew up under the guidance of the Metallic Blood War Gate, he stood a great chance of stepping into the four-chambered state in the future. But what shocked him was that the trio of the same rank as him was as strong as four-chambered cultivators! Who the hell were they?

But before the giant snake and the horrifying daggers reached them, a loud roar reached their ears. The dragon’s head on Chor Shing Chit’s chest opened its mouth and let out a defeaning roar.

Dragon’s Cry!

Chor Shing Chit didn’t hesitate as he fought the enemy with his strongest gliphility right away. Invisible dragon-like sound waves crashed into the snake illusion.

The moment Chor Shing Chit released the roar, the trio knew things went awry. Sound-attributed gliphilities were sounds, after all; the entire Blue Dragon Avenue heard it!

It woke up everyone in the Chor Clan.

“Enemy attack!!!”

“All Chor Clan disciples! Prepare for battle!”

Boom!

Chor Sing and Chor Shing Chit flew backwards while another man let out an extremely displeased shout at Jet “Jet!!!”

“That’s Chor Shing Chit, the genius glipher! But it’s alright; he’ll never be able to block my gliphility!” Jet let out a similarly furious roar.

“That’s not the point! We’ve been discovered!”

“Well, wasn’t that expected?”

“What do you mean?” The lady sneered at Jet.  As a support attributed glipher, she was in charge of helping them to stay hidden, and what Jet said showed that he didn’t trust her.

Footsteps of people running over were heard. Jet looked around and snickered. “This is what I call fun!”

The other man was more prudent. “Butterfly, get the job done. Jet and I will hold them here!”

Butterfly nodded, the black butterfly above her head flapping its wings and covering her with a sprinkle of pollen before disappearing.
