“Firstly, I will decide the plans, and only my plans will be valid. Secondly, gliphers must be totally open about their cultivation skills, gliphs and gliphility.  Lastly, I’ll take no more than ten commissions a month.

“These are the conditions I can currently think of.“

Chau Chung nodded his head hard at Chui Yim. He was familiar with stories of geniuses who were difficult to get along with, and he had expected Chui Yim to come up with tough conditions; he even felt that his conditions were easy to meet! This put a gummy smile on Chau Chung’s face.

“Brother Chui, it’s a deal. However, those are not the most favourable conditions for you, so I’ll get back to you tomorrow after a discussion.” With a thud, Chau Chung placed a few heavy jugs on Chui Yim’s table.

“I overheard you and the third teacher’s conversation before you had the heaven spring fish. Knowing that brother Chui’s a fan of alcohol, here are a few jugs of Wind Knives from the North. Spicy yet minty, it’s a rare wine that I’m gifting brother Chui to celebrate the start of our collaboration,” Chau Chung explained with a sheepish smile.

Chui Yim wore a meaningful smile on his face. Just in time. “Thank you so much.”

Chau Chung was on cloud nine to see Chui Yim accepting his gift. After a short conversation, Chau Chung left excitedly while Chui Yim waited for Kam Chin Kee’s return in a good mood.

Evergreen Palace was a palace made up of many palaces.

If the Evergreen Palace spanned even larger than a huge city, what about South Imperial City, the home to Evergreen palace?

In the Evergreen Palace stood a nameless courtyard. Unlike the Ming Sum Hall,  Almighty Hall and others that were named, this unnamed hall was home to a teenager who did not have any maids or eunuchs  taking care of him. In fact, he was like a prisoner or a tenant of the palace.

Kam Chin Kee placed all his necessities in the jade but poured them out as something came to his mind. He then tore an old robe of his and transferred all his items into the makeshift bag. Luckily, there was nothing much to be found there.

It suddenly came to his realisation that even the jade was an item that the Evergreen Palace had lent him, unlike the sculptures, tools, and robes that were in his makeshift bag now which all belonged to him.

Kam Chin Kee picked up his bag and left the spacious and elegant lonely hall for the Hall of Affairs after so.

Moon shone brightly in the sky, as well as the halls of the Evergreen Palace. Those that had the means knew about Kam Chin Kee’s movement and rushed over.

It was Lam Ming Sum who took Kan Hang along with her.

She sobbed as she asked, “Brother Chin Kee, where are you going?”

“It’s time for me to leave where I do not belong to.” Kam Chin Kee smiled thinly.

“But what about me?” Lam Ming Sum bursted out into tears hearing him.

“I’m still in South Imperial City, not going anywhere far.” Kam Chin Kee chuckled in response. “I’m just changing a place to stay. You can get Brother Kan to bring you to me whenever you like.” Kan Hang was known for his amazing nightwalk that allowed him to move at a rapid speed.

His responses did not stop Lam Ming Sum’s wails, nor did Lam Ming Sum’s tears stop him in his tracks.

Very soon, a second person rushed up and banged into Kam Chin Kee. “Brother Kam, I won’t let you leave!”

The person was none other than Lam Mei Mei, who inherited her mother, Lee Fei Yin’s gorgeous look. She looked at Kam Chin Kee with puppy eyes that could melt anyone. “Does Brother Kam bear to leave me in the palace alone?”

Kam Chin Kee laughed as he continued to walk towards the Halls of Affair. “Princess Mei Mei is doted on by the entire palace, how are you lonely?”

Lam Mei Mei who disliked Lam Ming Sum did not have the time for her now as she focused on persuading Kam Chin Kee who did not stop in his tracks.

From afar the Almighty Hall, Lam Zaa only took a glance at Kam Chin Kee.

“Chui Ying, head over. With Mei Meis stubborn character, she might cause unwanted troubles."

“Yes, Your Highness.” With that, Yam Chui Ying disappeared on the spot.

Chui Yim and Kam Chin Kee were getting closer these days, yet Lam Zaa never cared to ask about it. To him, they were just kids who had yet to understand how cruel the world was. As the destined future Emperor, the ruler of the world, his sights were set further from what lay in front of his eyes—the world.

He focused on the white paper in front of him once more and continued scribbling on it, waving his pen like a sword that left deep carvings on a rock.

Determined and focused—this was Lam Zaa now.

Seeing that Kam Chin Kee was only one step away from the Halls of Affairs, Lam Mei Mei was like a cat on hot bricks. “Kam Chin Kee, I order you to stop!”

However, she only got a thin smile from Kam Chin Kee who continued in his tracks.

”Kam Chin Kee, how dare you go against my orders! Take him down!” Lam Mei Mei shouted angrily towards the teenage girl next to her, who did so after hesitation.

”Yes, Your Highness,” she responded respectfully.

With that, she transformed into a rainbowed-coloured shadow that resembled a beautiful, smooth long scarf. She had the famous Divine Walk gliph of the Shadowforge Hall tattooed on her, but compared to the mysterious Kan Hang, she emitted elegant yet pitiful vibes.

Divine Walk was created by a five-chambered glipher who was the first Emperor Lam’s  right-hand man. That was how long the Shadowforge Hall had been around too. Divine Walk was a powerful movement-attributed gliphility, and its creator was known as the best glipher back then as he was the fastest man in the world.

Speed was the only thing invincible in the world!

The girl’s gliphility from Divine Walk was not as mysterious as Kan Hang’s but it had the ability to increase her speed suddenly, boosting her attack. That was why gliphility differed when used by different cultivators.

But a grey figure blocked her way right before she could reach Yam Chui Ying. The figure blocked Kam Chin Kee from the girl’s attack and dispersed right afterwards, revealing the person behind the figure. Kan Hang, who stayed next to Lam Ming Sum, nodded at the scene. This person made use of the speed that Divine Walk granted him well; as he moved, it turned into a shield for him in exchange for the long distance movement. It was a short distance defence that could create shields at different places at the same time.

The person was Yam Chui Ying.

”Yam Chui Ying, get lost,” The teen furrowed her brows and spoke up.
