What a beautiful youth this is!

That was the thought that surfaced in the Antlion Whisperer’s mind. The other party’s appearances transcended gender and race. Even he, despite his ardent hatred for young, good-looking people, couldn’t feel the slightest tinge of envy here.

Fireflies envied other fireflies who were brighter than them, but the moon in the sky was something they could only look up to.

The Antlion Whisperer turned back and saw the gleam in the Lizard Queen’s eyes.

“…”

This is bad. My beautiful queen, didn’t you just declare that you don’t need a man? But the way you are looking at him… it looks as if you have even thought about what school your children should go to!

“My beautiful queen,” the Antlion Whisperer spoke up indignantly, “that guy doesn’t look like he has come of age yet…”

“Age is not an issue,” the Lizard Queen replied without turning away.

“Someone of his age is unlikely to be a mage.”

“Occupation is not an issue.” The Lizard Queen’s eyes gleamed.

“He looks like a Tang. He could be an escaped Tang slave!!!”

“Isn’t that for the best?” The Lizard Queen was even more moved.

She would have to think twice if the other party wasn’t a Tang since he could have some powerful mage or noble backing him. But he was just a slave, she could capture him right now, stow him away in her house, and slowly relish in him…

I’ll let him thoroughly serve me tonight… Wait, what is he doing?!

After the initial rush of adrenaline died down, the Lizard Queen swiftly noticed a problem.

Why isn’t that beautiful man running away? A normal person who stumbles upon the fighting giant antlions and sand monitors here would have known that they have stepped into dangerous territory and fled right away.

So why is he standing still over there on his steed?

What is he waiting for?

The Lizard Queen reluctantly tore her eyes away from the beautiful man, and it was only then that she realized that he wasn’t alone. He was accompanied by a huge army!

Ghost horsemen dressed in glowing armor and armed with lances, reminiscent of metal towers, were gathered around the beautiful man to protect him.

Countless terracotta soldiers with skull faces were charging over like a furious wave. It felt like the entire Gobi Desert was quaking under their hooves.

Then, the Lizard Queen saw a red flag fluttering in the sky.

“The rebel army?” the Lizard Queen and the Antlion Whisperer blurted out.

Wait! Are these the monsters who have encircled Zhujubo? But why does the army seem much, much larger than what the envoy has told us?

“What are they waiting for?” Miazova murmured in confusion.

Neither the Lizard Queen nor the Antlion Whisperer was moving even though the terracotta soldiers were already charging at them.

What are they thinking? Are they intimidated by Shu Yichao’s army?

That shouldn’t be. They are both powerful mages, and their monster armies are formidable too. People like them wouldn’t understand the true terror of the undead army until they experience it themselves.

“Who cares what they are waiting for?” Shu Yichao replied as he discreetly maneuvered his army via the minimap to flank the Lizard Queen and the Antlion Whisperer.

Those desert lizards are very mobile. I can’t let them slip away.

“I’m waiting for my little mudmen to get in position anyway.”

Shu Yichao stared at the sand monitors, practically drooling, while making battle preparations. “Hehe, a 500 speed monster mount! Damn! I must get my hands on them!”

Especially that Lizard Queen’s mount… That gigantic lizard looks so much bigger than the other lizards.

“Lucky I rushed over as soon as I saw the red dots, or else I’d have missed this!” Shu Yichao turned to Miazova and said, “Oi, my son. You see my future mount over there? You got a way to capture it?”

He remembered Miazova casting some sort of slowing spell before.

“No problem. Leave it to me.” Miazova gave a thumbs up.

“Wonderful!” Shu Yichao was delighted. He drew his gleaming modao and pointed ahead, roaring, “Attack!”

Out of fear of harming his sand monitor, he even ordered, “No arrows! Capture them alive!”

The terracotta footsoldiers stepped aside, opening up the path for the terracotta cavalrymen. Tens of thousands of cavalrymen simultaneously charging forth created a powerful momentum similar to water gushing out of a collapsing dam.

It felt like they would crush everything that stood in their way.

“Ohoho!” The Lizard Queen chuckled beneath her hand. “This little charmer is such a mood!”

He’s looking at me with gleaming eyes, and he even ordered to capture me alive… Can he be more obvious with his intent?

“Are you so anxious to turn me into your pet?”

The Lizard Queen glanced at the charging terracotta cavalrymen and snorted, “My babies, crush them! Then, capture that fellow alive and bring him before me…”

Seeing that the Lizard Queen was planning to engage the enemy, the Antlion Whisperer anxiously advised, “Pardon me, my beautiful queen, but there’s something amiss about their number!”

He could spot almost ten thousand cavalrymen at a glance. That was a terrifying force, even if those cavalrymen were just normal civilians.

Furthermore, the antlions beneath him had been snapping their pincers for some time now to warn him about the intense quakes coming from all directions. An army of unprecedented scale was swiftly encircling them!

The antlions were feeling nervous, and that was a cause for concern for the Antlion Whisperer.

Could it be that, other than the huge army of terracotta soldiers before us, there are still other cavalrymen encircling us from our flanks and behind?

This is unbelievable… Just how many troops do these Tang rebels have?!

The Lizard Queen paid no heed to the Antlion Whisperer.

This was the desert, her turf! No one could overpower her and her sand monitors in the desert!

With loud whooshes, hundreds of sand monitors charged toward the terracotta army, morphing into terrifying gray specters that raised a furious gale. It was like hundreds of tanks were moving at unbelievable speed, ramming down everything in their path.

The terracotta cavalrymen had no way to oppose the sand monitors.

In a direct clash, the sand monitors had far larger bodies and resilient skin. The terracotta soldiers, made out of mud and bones, were like eggshells before hammers.

The charging sand monitors smashed them into pancakes upon contact.

And in melee combat, the terracotta soldiers’ weapons shattered when pitted against the sand monitors’ thick hide, whereas the sand monitor could send the terracotta soldiers flying with just a simple tail whip.

Just like that, the huge army of terracotta cavalrymen swiftly crumbled before the sand monitors. Their bones and mud splattered all over the desert.

The sand monitors even dug out the terracotta soldiers’ bones and tried chewing them, only to realize that there was no fluid in them. They were as dry as wood that had withered for decades, hard and nasty.

So, they lost interest in eating the terracotta soldiers and instead continued to ram them down.

“Heh!”

The Lizard Queen lit up in glee as she watched her sand monitors crush the terracotta soldiers. She triumphantly looked at Shu Yichao, wanting to see how his beautiful face would morph in the face of this setback.

Will he look anxious? Or will be be frightened? Will he frown? Will he tremble?

The thought of seeing fear on that beautiful face hastened her heartbeat, and her legs trembled in excitement.

But…

“Why is he not afraid at all?” The Lizard Queen was confused. “Is he unable to tell that his little mud dolls are no match for me?”
