100 Rebellion
Floating cross-legged leisurely outside the core world was Makarov, his gaze resting upon the circular ball of luminous light that was right in front of him, the luminous light represented the holy grail core world.
He was keeping an eye on his grand apprentice Layton, he had been watching him every step of the way, he was even aware when someone had sneaked into Layton’s dream and shortly opened a short path to the past, although the perpetrator hid his/herself well but Makarov could tell it was someone he was familiar with and since there was no ill intent or malice Makarov kept silent, did not further dwell on the matter and just let nature take its course, this was his confidence as a paragon stage practitioner.
Makarov was observing the battle between Layton and his other self, although in his eyes the battle seemed lackluster but the events that followed piqued his interest, what where the odds that the created parallel self of Layton would follow a different but complementary path, their subsequent battles involuntarily deducing their future paths and about to give rise to a half-plane, Makarov knew that if there no changes the deduction would stop at their present legendary stage combat power, not because they themselves couldn’t handle it but because of the nature of the half-plane that was about to be created, their two distinct paths merging and colliding brought about heavy unique traces of soul, creation and life rules that were merging in a peculiar way creating rules which would had a huge infectious and negative effect on the holy grail world once they fully merged with the island and created a half-plane one with its own self-consciousness, a behavior which the plane will of the Holy grail world would not allow.
Makarov’s interest was piqued he wanted to see how far his Layton could go also at his level although he was very knowledgeable but the hidden rules that emerged in their clash was interesting, it was like seeing a brand new way to mix ingredients, although the new way was not efficient or the best way in Makarov’s eye’s but the fact that it was new interesting way was enough.
Stretching forth his palm a small crystal orb appeared glowing with various numerous light and sending forth soft waves of energy, Makarov with a flick of his wrist sent the orb flying into the Holy grail core world, with the orb was a message from Makarov requesting the relaxation of the suppression of the island in the venue Layton was currently situated. The orb was a condensation of plane rules and not just any rules but rules which were highly compatible with the holy grail world, the appearance of an orb like that meant a plane had been irreversibly damaged or destroyed, it was a precious resource because upon destruction and extraction of plane rules one could not accurately pinpoint what type of rules were being extracted and so a condensation of such highly similar rule’s such as the one Makarov had sent to the plane was a bargain the plane will could not refuse.
Makarov could perceive that in the current situation Layton and his other self-rising combat power would soon reach the limit of the legendary stage and the best way to rise above that limit was to allow the island to be successfully turned into a half-plane. One of the requirements of the deity stage was an understanding of space, it could be an instinctive understanding or having the knowledge itself, nevertheless, the creation of a half-plane would satisfy such requirements allowing Layton and his counterpart to exert deity stage combat power without turning them into deities and also allow the rule power they would exert be branded on the half-plane and not on their own consciousness or body, basically as long as the battle was over and the half-plane destroyed they would be back to their previous stage 1 self without affecting the foundation of their practice.
Seeing that the orb had been accepted and a deal had been reached Makarov nodded satisfactorily before turning his attention once more on Layton.
‘Boom’ the two similar creatures once again collided bringing about various visions, lightning flame and various other elemental effects flashing around agilely and the sound of the surroundings caving in as sheer brute force was exerted during collisions.
As time went on and their clash continued entranced in their battle it went unnoticed that some subtle changes had occurred, the structure of their surroundings seemed to have been released of some shackle and the island beneath their feet seemed to have been freed of some restriction and so their various influences on the island started to bear fruit immensely strengthening its structure allowing it to be able to adapt to their growing combat power and creating some chaotic rudimentary forms of life.
.....
With the spread of their influence on the island and the emergence of some rudimentary form of life Layton was able to siphon from the chaotic thinking fluctuation of both his other self active cells and the newly emerging life around the island allowing Layton’s psionic to be replenished at amazing speed and increasing his reserves, with the increase of the psionic he merged into the island it created a sort of inner circulation allowing him almost unlimited energy, with the growing energy of his psionic Layton’s body gradually changed his soul unable to hold on to that much energy the psionic kept on flooding his flesh replacing his inner organs, optimizing his cells and ultimately eroding them replacing the basic units of his biological self with pure energy, although still looking normal but the fact was that he was no longer human but instead composed of pure psionic energy, his soul recording the biomagnetic field of his previous body used such recording to influence the magnetic field of the island controlling the surrounding matter to assume the posture of his normal self.
Not only Layton, but his other self too was also undergoing rapid changes with the growth of vitality in the surrounding, the other-self was able to release the shackles on his active cells allowing them to achieve rapid evolution, the immense vitality provided even allowing him to infect the atoms that made up of his being endowing them with life providing him with more strength and a more optimized body structure, his cellular information no longer all encapsulated in his genes but in the atom that made up of his self, granting him the ability to manipulate his atoms and create stronger attacks, each of his attacks now exerted the strength and power of a nuclear bomb.
It was not only both of them that underwent changes, the island beneath their feet soon gave birth to its will, its own life and sentience, and with that sentience, it gave birth various emotions awe, arrogance and naturally fear, fear of hurt fear of pain and ultimately the fear of death.
The will perceiving the two dangerous clashing creatures on its body was frightened, although their clash was the source of its birth, it knew they would also inseparably become the source of its death and so like any other life struggling to survive it did the needful, it rebelled against its creators.
