Chapter 8: NOTHING BUT UNDERGARMENTS
The ‘scammer’ had left him, and now Bai Chen was alone in his room to prepare his trip to the Red Pavilion to get a male prostitute.
“My first mission is to get a male prostitute. Was it because the male prostitute from last night ran away after I fainted? Ah! It can’t be like that. Ma Qiao said that the prostitute reported to him this morning, so I can’t say that he ran away. Maybe he only needed to serve me for one night, and he would leave the next morning. My first mission will be easy then,” Bai Chen began his monologue before nodding his head in satisfaction.
He only needed to follow Bai Chen’s character, and he believed that this mission was only to keep Bai Chen’s image the same after he transmigrated to this world.
“But wait. Where is the real Bai Chen of this world?” In the end, he became confused when he realized that he had basically taken over Bai Chen’s body after he transmigrated into this world, but he had no clue about the soul of the Bai Chen in this world.
Shaking his head to clear any unnecessary thoughts, Bai Chen then walked towards a closet in the room before opening it. He would take a bath, and then he would prepare for the trip to the Red Pavilion. He was not so innocent, and he could guess what kind of place the Red Pavilion was.
“Huh? I only have white robes in my closet? This is so boring! I thought I’d be able to dress nicely in Prince’s colorful outfits, but all the clothes in my closet look so boring!”
Indeed, there were only white clothes in the closet, and although there was also blue trim on some of the clothes, they still looked dull to Bai Chen’s eyes.
.....
Sighing in disappointment, he then took out a set of clothes, only to furrow his brows as he didn’t know how to put the clothes on his body. “It looks like robes or something, but I’m not sure if I can wear it properly,” he muttered as he studied the clothes in his hands.
He had been unemployed in the past month, and he sometimes used his free time to watch some ancient dramas on television. The characters in dramas wore clothes like the ones in his hands, but when the scene showed how the characters wore it, he usually skipped that part because that part was also boring.
He preferred to see how the characters eat each other’s mouths and also how the characters enjoy each other’s bodies in bed.
“Perhaps I should ask Ma Qiao to help me get dressed,” Bai Chen made up his mind as he walked towards the door of his pavilion.
Opening the door, he then tried to find the male servant, but he did not see the servant anywhere. “Strange. I thought a servant would be standing in front of his master’s pavilion,” he muttered as he closed the door behind him before walking away from his pavilion.
Now, he could see that he was indeed in the ancient world. The surrounding buildings did look like the ones in dramas, all made of wood instead of cement and concrete.
Each building had vermilion paint applied to pillars and balustrades, yellow for glazed roof tiles, and green paint for decorative parts such as the brackets under the eaves. All buildings had upturned roof corners that were very unique and pleasing to the eyes.
When he was still inside his pavilion, he could see carved beams, painted rafters, various patterns, inscribed boards, couplets hung on the pillars, and wall paintings to add the beauty of the interior.
And now when he was outside the pavilion, he could see stone wolves, screen walls, ornamental columns, and also flowers that were used to decorate the exteriors of the buildings.
Maybe he was in the Prince’s residence, so there were also other buildings apart from the pavilion he was staying in. Turning his head to his pavilion, he could see the words ‘Jing Pavilion’ on the big placard.
Turning his head forward again, he noticed that this residence strictly followed the principle of centering on an axis with symmetrical wings. He could see that the Jing Pavilion was the axis of symmetrical form, and he could feel the harmony just by looking at its symmetrical layout. He was in the center, and that was why he could see other buildings apart from the front of the Jing Pavilion.
“Perhaps I should request a tour from Ma Qiao.”
“Are you looking for me, Your Highness?”
Bai Chen almost jumped in surprise when a voice suddenly greeted his ears without warning. Looking down from the pavilion, he could see his servant standing next to the stairs of Jing Pavilion.
He was so busy observing the Prince’s residence that he didn’t notice the presence of a male servant not far from him.
Bai Chen just found out that all the clothes in his closet were white and even the ones he was currently wearing were also white, and he also just realized that the servant was also wearing white.
‘What’s with the boring culture in this world?’ He grumbled in his heart.
Meanwhile, Ma Qiao didn’t seem to notice his bored expression as he rushed up the stairs with a panicked expression plastered on his face. “Aiyah! What are you doing here, Your Highness? You’re still only wearing your undergarments too!”
Bai Chen once again heard the nonsense about undergarments, and he frowned before asking, “What undergarments? I’m properly dressed now.”
Bai Chen was wearing white clothes that resembled pajamas in his eyes. He was wearing pants, and he was also wearing his top properly. Although the cloth was a bit thin, he did not consider it inappropriate as long as it covered his private parts.
However, when the corners of his eyes caught glimpse of some palace maids walking past them with a bashful smile on their faces, he finally realized that he was wearing nothing but undergarments.
