While others were having a sensual reunion and others rubbing ointment in unmentionable places, Ji Yao on day three of not seeing Rui Fei was not in a good mood.
He had graduated from anxiety to the next stage which was violent outbursts. The Qilin blood was taking control and he was far worse than Qilin Hao. Imagine that this is before dating how about during?
No one, not even Xiaoyu dared step into that cabin casually. There had to be a really good reason for one to enter into this abattoir where Ji Yao was the butcher. One wrong move and you might end up with a cleaver sticking out of your head. At first, he kept his radius around the cabin so everyone knew to avoid that area. But at midday, Ji Yao suddenly expanded his parameter causing mass panic.
To show the seriousness of this matter none of the three musketeers Old Du, Big Hei and Xunshi Zhe were to be seen. It was as though they knew something the others didn't and made themselves scarce.
As soon as Ji Yao stepped on the main deck everyone went into hiding with some climbing up the mast, walking the plank minus the sharks and pretending to be five-thousand-year-old statues minding their own business..
Ji Yao wasn't even focused on them because he had two targets in mind. The ones closest to Rui Fei. As he approached the door going to the lower decks of the ship, an unfortunate tall crew member mopping the floors caught Ji Yao's attention.
He happened to be taking a break from mopping picking his nose to pass the time when Ji Yao passed by. If we could read minds we would hear everyone mumbling, 'Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit,' in their heads. Poor guy, he was new to this crew with less than a month yet he was already caught digging gold in his nose.
Ji Yao slowly walked over with his hands behind his back and the man's finger paused as he gawked at Ji Yao in surprise. "Did you find what you are digging for?" asked Ji Yao his face as serious as a heart attack. In fact, the crew member felt a heart attack creeping up on him the longer Ji Yao stared at him.
"I.... um.... so-sorry," he mumbled as he took out his finger with lovely looking gold. Two seconds later a man was flying across the sea towards Lady Ching Sei's ship. Three men dressed in lovely dresses sat on beach chairs on the main deck watching Red Bane in the distance.
They knew a storm was brewing on that ship so they sought refuge on the lady's ship but to stay on that ship until Ji Yao had calmed down they had to wear dresses according to the rules of the lady herself.
Granted permission and looking lovely in colourful dresses they monitored the situation from afar. Fanning himself with a yellow fan, Old Du asked, "I say, do you think they will be alright? I mean Ji Yao must be pretty pissed off right now.
Xunshi Zhe took a sip of his spiked fruit juice before responding, "They will be fine. He is not as bad as Qilin Hao. That lady scared the shit out of me."
But just as he said that there was a terrifying lightning strike followed by a familiar figure flying towards their ship.
Bam!
That was the sound of a body falling on the main deck right at their feet. The three of them looked down and saw a man with a close resemblance to burnt chicken staring blankly at the sky.
"Is he dead?" asked Big Hei gathering up his skirt to prevent it from being dirtied by the man.
Pa!
The sound of slapping was heard followed by Big Hei's course whining. "Ouch..... what was that for?" he said rubbing his sore arm.
"If he is dead would he be blinking, huh?" said Xunshi Zhe ready to slap his arm again if he said something stupid.
"Corpses blink, I have seen it before," replied Big Hei but soon he was yelping out in pain. Xunshi Zhe was quite heavy-handed.
Old Du ignored the two nudging the roasted chicken on the floor with his foot. "Hey..... name your crime," he said as the man's gaze met his.
"Go-gold digging," replied the man feeling very unlucky today. He had offended the big boss now he had run into the boss's right-hand men.
Big Hei narrowed his eyes in confusion. It was better if he kept his mouth but he had to speak. "Isn't gold digging part of being a pirate? We should be proud enough to put it on a flag..... We can even have a slogan. Thekingsofgolddigging or maybe.... um um..... Thereisnoshameindiggingforgold. Oh, oh how about Nogolddiggingshame."
Old Du, "....."
Roasted chicken on the ground, "...."
Xunshi Zhe, "What the fuck?"
"Da Hei, are you stupid?" asked Xunshi Zhe itching to slap the back of his head to correct his stupidity. Old Du was already thinking of inventing a cure for idiocy.
"Here is a question for you. Where would he be digging gold on Red Bane? What is the one place you can dig for gold on a ship?" asked Old Du testing Big Hei's stupidity level so he can concoct the right tonic for Big Hei.
Like in a game show Big Hei was under pressure wishing he could call a friend to help him answer. Unfortunately, this wasn't that type of show. He couldn't call a friend. After giving him five minutes to come up with a reply Big Hei suddenly had an answer. Judging from his expression he wasn't too pleased about it. "Nasty..... you deserved to be kicked off the ship."
Xunshi Zhe looked at Old Du as he said, "He is just slow that's all."
"If you say so. I can cure him if you like. A dash of cobra venom will do the trick," replied Old Du itching to experiment like an evil scientist.
If only Big Hei knew how close he was to being turned into Frankenstein's monster he would have raided Ji Yao's library to improve his IQ and keep Old Du as far away as possible from his brain.
