Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives
Chapter 439 Internal Issue
Villain Ch 439. Internal Issue
Elio and the other players emerged at the gate of Ront City, their virtual avatars returning from the harrowing battle that had unfolded within the city. As they materialized back, Thera, the usually cheerful NPC, stood there to greet them. However, her voice carried an unusual tone of fear and gravity.
"W-Welcome back, adventurers," Thera stammered, her voice trembling slightly. Her virtual clothing bore the scars of the recent conflict, marred by burn marks and stains of blood in several places.
Standing idly in the middle of the crowd due to the emperor's words, Elio listened to the conversations taking place among the group of players who had just returned from the intense battle with the devil emperor. The weight of their recent defeat hung in the air, and their voices carried a mix of frustration and resignation.
"I'm starting to think that it's absolutely impossible to defeat that emperor bastard," a priest remarked, his expression a mixture of disappointment and exhaustion.
The sentiment was echoed by an alchemist who let out a tired huff. "I also think the same thing. This guy is just too powerful."
A knight, seemingly more optimistic, chimed in with a nonchalant shrug. "Well, he's the final boss, so defeating him was never going to be a walk in the park."
A thoughtful player interjected, offering a different perspective. "But I have to admit, this game exceeded my expectations. I thought the villains were just OP characters who would simply attack straight from the front. But it turns out they used a lot of tactics to deal with us."
"I feel like I'm in a real war," a hunter remarked, a sense of awe and tension in his voice.
The priest added his thoughts. "Yes. This war does not only rely on skill and level but also intelligence. I wonder if they feed the A.I with the art of war books from our history."
A nod of agreement came from the hunter. "And don't forget the villains' fighting style," he added.
The priest furrowed his brow, seeking clarification. "What do you mean?" he asked, raising one of his eyebrows.
The hunter leaned in, his voice low. "Don't you realize, every villain has a unique fighting style. Some prefer to use their area skills. Some prefer to use their crowd-control skills. But that devil emperor… Brrr!" He halted his words and shivered. "Of all, his killing method is the cruelest and he places great importance on efficiency," the hunter explained, shuddering at the memory of their recent encounter. The villain's tactic was crazy and brilliant at the same time and the devil emperor's vibe was more like a genius psycho who liked to torture his victims for fun, a real villain that gave different reactions in different encounters. Not a two-dimension NPC character.
The alchemist nodded in agreement, chiming in, "He's not just a powerful foe; he's a strategic one. We need to be prepared for whatever tactics he throws our way next."
"I think of all, he is the most cunning, and he knows how to push other people's buttons," the knight remarked, shaking his head in disbelief.
"Yeah, that too!" the alchemist chimed in, his tone filled with a mix of admiration and frustration.
The priest, deep in thought, suggested a possible solution. "You know, maybe we need more people to deal with it."
The hunter raised an eyebrow. "You mean we need to recruit new members?"
The priest clarified, "No, I mean we have to recruit new players. There are still a lot of pro gamers out there, maybe one of them can beat him."
Elio couldn't deny the truth in what they were saying. The villains, especially the emperor, had an uncanny ability to exploit the players' weaknesses and craft strategies that hit them where they hurt the most. It was becoming increasingly clear that this battle was not just about raw strength; it demanded intelligence and adaptability. Bringing in a slew of pro gamers might indeed be their best shot at victory.
However, amidst these thoughts, Elio's mind was occupied by internal matters within his guild. Something was amiss, and he couldn't shake his curiosity about what had transpired. He knew that he needed to dig deep and get to the bottom of it all before things spiraled further out of control.
In the middle of the conversation, another announcement appeared on the players' screens.
[The dark tower has been successfully constructed!]
[The tower can be entered by a maximum of 50 players per attack!]
[Please register at Dark Thera in front of the tower for the waiting list!]
[The winner will get an S-Class Treasure Box (greatest damage) and the rest will get a B-Class Treasure Box!]
Once they saw it, the players gathered around Elio appeared resolute, their expressions showing a newfound determination.
"Okay, everyone, we've got to come up with a solid strategy to take on those monsters. Any ideas?" asked the knight.
"Let's make sure our attacks are coordinated. We should focus our firepower on one target at a time," suggested the priest.
"We need to designate roles within our group - tanks, healers, and DPS. Balance is crucial," chimed in the hunter.
"Don't overlook crowd control skills. We've got to lock those monsters down and minimize their opportunities to strike," emphasized the priest.
"And communication is key! We can't afford any lapses in coordination," added the alchemist.
Not only them, but all players around Elio discussed the idea of recruiting new players and devising new strategies to conquer the dark tower, their enthusiasm was palpable. They quickly started brainstorming and sharing tactics to overcome the challenges that lay ahead.
However, Elio had different plans. He realized that before they could tackle the devil emperor or the dark tower, he needed to address the internal issues within his guild. Ignoring the buzz of strategy discussions around him, he decided to split the crowd and gather his guild members for a different purpose. He knew that whatever had transpired needed to be resolved first if they were to stand a chance in the upcoming battles.
