Chapter 550 ILLUSION

Coza lifted her head and then turned her face, as she leaned over to kiss Chaos on the lips. "I want to see how angry you can be and what you can do when you are really angry."

Coza was truly crossing the line when she tried to kiss Chaos right in front of Zuri and she didn't even back away when she screamed bloody murder at her.

Zuri couldn't believe her eyes at what she was seeing right now. How could this crazy woman do this to her?

It started with her asking a favor to train her with the protection barrier, but how could this end up like this?

"COZA!" Zuri roared in anger and she felt a tingling feeling on her hands and as if she knew what to do, she grabbed at the empty air, as if there was something there and when she moved her wrist, a long black sword was already in her hand.

Zuri didn't even think twice, she just followed her instinct, her whole body seemed to know what to do when she made a slashing movement and cracked the invisible wall of protection that Coza had created.

It was almost like Zuri shattered a wall of glass and the shattering sound was not too far from that.

Her hands trembled and the black sword emitted a soft dark blue light from it, so dark it was almost black, as if it absorbed the remaining protection around her.

Zuri breathed heavily, as she saw Coza stand right in front of her, the young woman didn't even show any remorse, she even smirked lightly and clapped her hands.

"Congratulations on breaking it, even though I don't think that is the right way to do it, you should…"

Coza didn't have time to finish her words when Zuri marched toward her and threw away the sword in her hand, but the black sword disappeared before it reached the snowy ground.

And because the snow was so thick, Zuri was having a hard time approaching Coza, she couldn't move as fast as she wanted.

But the moment she was in front of Coza, she pulled her hand back and punched her so hard.

"I TOLD YOU TO STOP, DIDN'T I!?" Zuri roared on top of Coza's body, as she fell so hard to the ground.

It seemed, they were good fighters when they were in their werewolf form, but not in their human form, since they had never trained their human bodies to have good reflexes, because they had this power to create a protection around them.

"HOW DARE YOU HIT ME?!" Coza was extremely upset, she was about to get up and shift into her wolf, so did Zuri, she didn't mind ripping her apart for what she had done earlier.

Zuri was one of the best warriors, she really wanted to see what Coza could do in her wolf form.

However, before the two of them could tear each other apart, Tia had stopped them.

"That's enough kids!" Tia clapped her hands, as if she was talking to two children, who were bickering with each other, not two full grown warriors, who were ready to kill one another.

Neither Zuri nor Coza knew since when Tia was standing there watching them, they were too occupied with the tension of the situation.

"Move back, Coza, you took it too far." Tia seemed to have seen what Coza had done earlier. "You too, Zuri, tone down your anger and look around you."

"What!?" Zuri snapped at Tia, but she moved away from Coza. The two of them separated themselves under a hard glare from the old lady.

"It's an illusion," Tia said lightly and then nodded in the other direction.

Zuri followed her line of sight and then saw Chaos was still inside the invisible protection that Tia had created, he was still far away from them, not at the same distance as when she watched Coza kiss him.

"What? How?" Zuri was flabbergasted by this discovery. "How could that happen?"

"It was not just a barrier of protection, but once you were inside, you will be under illusion as well." That was why, Chaos looked calm right now, Tia forced him to be in such a condition, but she didn't know for how long her protection could last.

"Can it do that too?" Zuri seemed surprised to learn about that.

"I should punch you back for what you have done!" Coza was still upset because she had been hit. "Do you really think I am crazy enough to kiss a devil like him?"

Zuri shrugged her shoulders, she saw her bruised cheek had started to heal. "I mean, he is handsome and there are a lot of women who want to hook up with him," she said nonchalantly.

"He is a devil." Coza emphasized that fact.

"A handsome devil," Zuri corrected her stubbornly, but then she didn't think of paying any attention to her, as she started to talk with her grandmother. "Teach me. I think I am ready to learn this."

Tia rolled her eyes when she heard this. "You only want to learn when things get interesting."

========================

"Why is mommy crying?" Rhea asked Sebastian, after she peeked through the ajar door and then ran to her daddy. "Mommy is crying again, why?"

Sebastian bent his body and picked Rhea up. He stared at her for a moment, she took after Knox.

"Because mommy is sad," Sebastian said, as he took Rhea out of the house to play in the backyard.

Because of what happened before, July didn't allow Rhea to step out of the house, but because Sebastian thought she was with him, it would be fine to go out for a while.

The little girl had been agitated because her mother paid less attention to her and looked so sad almost the entire time.

Sebastian couldn't console her, because he clearly knew the look on her face and the tears from her eyes were not for him and that fact hurt him so much.

He thought his life was perfect for the last six years, but it seemed, there was always something that you couldn't leave behind. This was something that would be with you no matter what.

"Why is mommy sad? Rhea is not naughty, I am a good girl."

"Yes, Rhea is a good girl." Sebastian kissed Rhea's cheek, but then he stopped before he could do that, he caressed her head instead. "Mommy is not sad because of you."

"Is it because of that scary uncle?" Rhea lifted her head to look at Sebastian. He put her down, so they could walk hand in hand.

"Probably."

"Because he is sick?"

"I think so…" Sebastian replied reluctantly. "You call him a scary uncle, don't you like him?"

Rhea lifted her head again and then looked at him intensely. "No, Rhea likes daddy!"

Sebastian smiled when he heard that. "Daddy likes Rhea too."

This was the child that he had raised for six years, the only child that July wanted, because she made it clear from the very beginning that she only wanted this child and she didn't want to give birth to another.

At that time, Sebastian happily agreed with her, because he thought July must have feared the possibility of Knox knowing that she was pregnant with his baby when she left.

There was no way that they could meet with each other again, but the truth was not always that nice, because here they were, meeting with each other again and everything seemed to have returned to when they were still in the McKeltar castle.

Sebastian was invisible in July's eyes, because she only had Knox in her eyes.

On the other hand, inside the room, July lost track of time, she no longer knew whether it was morning or noon, or it was night…

Only when Rhea came to her after Sebastian went to work that she had a little bit of interaction, but aside from that, she didn't talk much.

She stared at Knox, wondering what happened to him and what he would do when he finally opened his eyes. Probably this was the right time for her to hand him over to Sol and Aaron, so he wouldn't be able to put his hands on their daughter, but she didn't feel that was the right thing to do.

Moreover, there was no way she would put Knox in such danger, not knowing what they would do to him. After all, they were from different parties.

July lifted her head and then looked at her reflection in the mirror, but she hated what she was seeing right now.

Years ago, she was so proud and happy whenever she saw her own reflection in the mirror, especially when people told her how young she looked.

She didn't think much about it then and thought she would always look like that. How foolish her younger self was.

But now, after years of hardship and how she lived her life like any ordinary person, time couldn't lie, she was aging. She could see wrinkles on the corners of her eyes and on top of her lips.

She hated her look and every time she saw herself in the mirror, she would always have a thousand negative things that would evade her mind.

Especially when she saw Knox didn't even age at all.

Angrily, July took a blanket from the cupboard and covered that full length mirror, so she didn't need to see herself again.
