Although it's been several weeks since Aunt Lin came back, she hasn't stepped out of the outside world, because she was very sick.
I know it's surprising to hear that, but Aunt Lin is still sick. She had different sections of Chemo, but it only helped to extend her life span for a few years.
A test was done on her few months after she started her Chemo, and it was discovered that she had already entered the last stage of Cancer.
But Aunt Lin chose to continue with the treatment with a glimmer of hope in her eyes. She finally gave up when she noticed that her situation wasn't changing, so she gave up treatment, and decided to come back home.
HuiQing was heartbroken, but he knew he had to be strong for her. He needed to be by her side to continue supporting her.
After celebrating her return that period, Aunt Lin broke the news to them. It was kind of hard for everybody to take the news because they were not thinking of the worst outcome for her situation.
But now, it had dawned on them that they were going to lose her, soon. So they just made up their mind in preparation for the worst.
Aunt Lin was looking so Lin, and she always had something to cover her head with, because her hair was long gone before she started the Chemotherapy.
Now if she wanted to go out, which she rarely did, she had to wear a wig. Sometimes, she would stare at herself in the mirror and then sigh.
Sometimes, she would cry when she saw her old pictures. She was looking so different now, from what she used to look like before.
After crying, she would wipe her tears and smile at herself in the mirror.
On two occasions, HuiQing had caught her crying, but he pretended not to have seen it because he didn't want her to feel bad.
He even suggested to her about them getting married, but she refused. Instead, she replied to him with...
"When I die, find someone to marry. Marry a woman that would love you and is willing to take care of you when you get old. Don't worry about Changying, she is an adult now, and wouldn't need a stepmother."
He refuted her words each time she responded that way whenever he brought the topic up.
At some point, he had to drop the topic, because he didn't want to be disheartened.
Because of her condition, she really couldn't do any strenuous work, and she got very tired easily, plus the torture she had to go through.
Sometimes, she would lie in bed all day. She could feel that her time was fast approaching.
And because she knew she would die soon, she hurried Changying to get married soon, so she could at least attend her wedding.
Changying was heartbroken just by thinking about her mother's passing. She didn't know if she could take it, but the best she could do was to fulfill her mother's dying wish.
Changying's boyfriend was aware of the matter on the ground, so he complied with his future mother-in-law.
He and Changying discussed and fixed the date for their engagement. It was a small party for only closely related family and friends.
Chen Lihua and her other cousins were a great help to Changying in preparation for her engagement.
In fact, Chen Lihua frequented her Aunt Lin's house since she came back, just like today.
She came with her son who was almost a year old, and he the handsome vibrant little boy was playing with Aunt Lin.
He made his baby noise as he passed his toy to his Aunt.
"Thank you!." Aunt Lin smiled as she took the toy from him. She was having a nice time with the little guy, that was sitting beside her.
Liu Wei Taio could sit on his own, he could crawl, and even stand for few seconds without any support.
But once he held unto a table, a chair, or anything for support, he would take steps ? on his own.
Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei we're happy with his fast development.
Taio had four tooths already. Two up, and two down. And he could call, Mum and Dad but in a babyish way.
Outsiders may not be able to guess what he was saying, but Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei could, because they were the closest to him, and they taught him those two words.
As Aunt Lin and the chubby Taio played together, Chen Lihua and Changying watched from the side.
Chen Lihua also recorded their moment together, in pictures and some short video clips.
When she noticed that Aunt Lin was getting tired, she called her little son to her side.
"Taio, come to Mummy." After beckoning on him to come to her side with a smile on her face, the little guy smiled as he covered his face with his palms in a mischievous way.
Seeing his cute actions, the three women laughed heartily. But then, Aunt Lin started to cough, and this time around, her white handkerchief turned red on that spot she used.
Chen Lihua and Changying's faces changed as they glanced at each other. But their facial expressions went back to normal.
Taio glanced at the handkerchief in Aunt Lin's hand, and his eyes sparkled in excitement. Next, he held Aunt Lin for support, before standing on his own.
Aunt Lin was shocked by his actions. But before he could stretch his little arms and snatch the handkerchief from her, Chen Lihua walked over and carried him away.
"Taio, you are starting to become very naughty." Chen Lihua chided him softly, as she sat him on the couch, in between her and her cousin Changying.
"I love him that way!." Changying said as she chuckled softly. Then, she stretched her fingers to the little guy's cheeks to pinch them softly.
"Are you still breastfeeding him?." Aunt Lin asked from the side, as she gazed at them with a soft countenance.
Chen Lihua smiled when she heard that question. She gazed at the little guy with a doting smile on her face, before replying, "Yes, he still doesn't want to let go."
