"Mum, what are you saying, are you even listening to Lihua?."
"Lin'er don't talk like that. Even if you didn't have hope before, but you have to, now. You have people that you love, and love you too, don't you want to live a little longer to see them?. What about our daughter, don't you want to see her get married and have a children?."
Aunt Lin sighed before slowly standing to her feet. "I am tired, I need to get some rest. Lihua, I will see you some other time."
"Aunt, do you have time to come see me in the hospital tomorrow?." Chen Lihua requested as she stood to her feet worriedly.
Aunt Lin was silent for a few seconds, before she obliged.
Chen Lihua managed a smile as she replied, "Alright Aunt, take care. I will see you at the hospital tomorrow."
"Changming see your cousin out." Aunt Lin turned to say to her daughter, but Chen Lihua stopped them.
"Don't worry Aunt, I can find my way. Goodnight." Chen Lihua said and left after bidding them farewell.
Outside the house, Chen Lihua allowed the tears she's been holding in to flow from her eyes. She staggered a little, but her arm was immediately grabbed by K2.
"Ma'am, are you alright?." K2 asked as he supported her.
"I'm fine." Chen Lihua replied with tears in her eyes. She then slowly removed her hand from K2's hold.
"I can walk by myself." Chen Lihua told him and walked to the car.
K2 increased his pace. He opened the car door for her and closed it after she settled herself inside.
On their way back to the house, Chen Lihua kept sniffing as more tears rolled down her cheeks. Then suddenly, her phone rang.
When she checked the caller ID, she discovered it was Liu Longwei. She refused to answer the call, because Liu Longwei would immediately find out that something was wrong with her from her voice, so she was avoiding that situation.
Liu Longwei called her one more time, but she still didn't answer it, so he became worried. With furrowed brows, he contacted K2.
"Where is my wife?." Liu Longwei asked in a serious tone.
"She is in the car with us, we are on our way to the house." K2 replied.
"How is she?." Liu Longwei asked further.
K2 glanced at the back seat, and saw his Mistress in tears. He was in a dilemma, because he didn't know if he should tell the truth or lie.
But the truth of the matter is that he will be punished severely if he was found to have lied.
"Master, she doesn't look fine."
"What happened to her?." Liu Longwei asked in a raised tone.
"We don't know Sir. She came out of the house and we saw her not looking good." K2 answered with difficulty. He felt so bad, as if he was talking behind her Mistress.
"Pass the phone to her." Liu Longwei ordered authoritatively.
"Ma'am, Sir wants to have a word with you." K2 informed in a low voice as he passed the form to Chen Lihua, who heard every word he said to her husband.
Chen Lihua wiped her tears before raising her head. Then she said in reply, "I will talk to him when I get home."
Liu Longwei who was at the other end of the phone, heard everything. He became more worried about his wife. But he could somehow tell that her Aunt's situation wasn't good.
"Tell her that I'm worried about her, and I want to hear her voice." Liu Longwei said to K2.
K2 immediately passed on the phone to Chen Lihua, along with the message.
Chen Lihua didn't want her husband to be worried about her for nothing. And she felt touched that he wanted to hear her voice so he would know she was fine, so she took the phone from K2.
"Hello." Chen Lihua said softly.
"Sweetheart, have you been crying?." Liu Longwei asked in a worried tone after he heard her voice.
"Yeah, but I'm fine now." Chen Lihua replied honestly after forcing down the tears that was about coming out from her eyes.
"Why did you cry, did something happen?." Liu Longwei inquired.
"Can we talk when I get home?." Chen Lihua requested, because remembering that her Aunt had a life threatening illness, makes her want to cry.
"Okay, I am waiting at home for you. I love you." Liu Longwei replied.
"I love you." Chen Lihua replied and passed the phone back to K2.
"Make sure my wife returns home safely." Liu Longwei ordered K2 before terminating the call.
When Chen Lihua got home, Liu Longwei was already waiting outside for her.
Liu Longwei immediately walked to the Jeep to help his wife out from the car.
"Sweetheart, you look like you've been crying for a long time, look at your eyes, they are all red." Liu Longwei said as he hugged her shoulder with one hand, while the other hand held her handbag and white hospital coat, as he escorted her in.
"In their room, Liu Longwei drew the bath for her and helped her sort out some things while she had her bath. Both of them had their dinner downstairs, but Chen Lihua didn't eat much.
But when Liu Longwei persuaded her to eat some more, she immediately ran out of the dinning room to throw up after she took another spoon of rice.
Liu Longwei went after her, and helped to soother her back while she threw up. He passed her a bottle of water after she was done throwing up.
"Sweetheart I'm sorry." Liu Longwei apologized on seeing his wife's tired look.
"It's okay." Chen Lihua replied after rinsing her mouth with the water.
After allowing her to rest, Liu Longwei asked about her Aunt's health, and what happened in her house.
"My Aunt has Lung Cancer, and she seems to be at the third stage already." Chen Lihua answered weakly as she sat on the bed.
