An two hour after breakfast, Chen Lihua was seen reading a medical book in the garden terrace. Two female servants were sitting somewhere close to her, just in case she needed something urgently, they can attend to it immediately.
Chen Lihua adjusted her reading glasses on the bridge of her nose. With one hand, she lifted a glass on orange juice to her lips. After taking a few sips, she put the glass down before going back to holding the book with both hands.
Chen Lihua looked like a beautiful Angel with the free white dress on her body that was floating, and her sitting posture. What a beautiful sight to behold!.
A female servant walked in in light footsteps, afraid to disturb her reading.
"Ma'am, Sir asked you to come and change your clothes as your parents will be arriving any moment from now."
Chen Lihua closed the book she was reading, and with the other hand, she took the glasses off her eyes. Then she glanced at the servant who came to give the instructions.
She sighed, stood up and walked away with her glasses and book in hand.
The look Chen Lihua gave the servant frightened her, she almost knelt down to apologize for interrupting her, but Chen Lihua walked away, so the servant sighed in relief before helping the other two servants to clean up the area.
"Darling which one should i wear from these two dresses?." Chen Lihua asked as she touched the two dresses.
In the dressing room, Liu Longwei glanced at the dresses in her hands and asked, "Both dresses are white in color, what is the difference?."
"Obviously, there is a difference, because it's not possible for me to buy two dresses of the same color and style, so pick help me pick one." Chen Lihua said.
After staring at the dresses for a few seconds, Liu Longwei said while pointing to the one at her right, "Wear that one, it looks more comfortable."
"Thank you." Chen Lihua said in a smile as she hanged the other dress back in the wardrobe. Then she quickly put on the other one while Liu Longwei sat in the bedroom, waiting for her.
"Our parents are here." Liu Longwei said to her immediately she walked into the room.
"Our parents?." Chen Lihua asked in surprise. Liu Longwei only told her that her parents would be visiting today, he didn't mention anything about his family visiting.
But that's not a problem. Yesterday, her mother-in-law was so worried about her, and wanted her to spend the night at their house, but she declined.
"Let's go." Liu Longwei said as he took her hand.
Hand in hand, they two made their way downstairs to see their parents talking with smiles on their face.
But when they sighted them, all eyes were directed at her in worry.
"My child, how are you?." Lady Chen who was looking younger than before asked as she walked up to her daughter and asked while holding her hands.
"Mum, I'm fine, let's sit." Chen Lihua said as she led her to the couch.
Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei exchanged greetings with their parents, before they started discussing on what transpired last night.
The young husband and wife gave their parents every bit of the details.
"Father, from the investigations conducted on the assassins, the culprit behind them is someone from your company, In fact, he is the fourth largest shareholder in your company." Liu Longwei said to Chen K.
Everyone of them in the room was shocked, including Chen Lihua.
"The culprit is from Dad's company?." She asked in shock, and Liu Longwei nodded in response, confirming her doubts.
"Are you sure of what you said?." Chen K asked, looking not too surprised, as if he had been suspecting that person for a long time.
"Yes father, I'm very sure. I have most of the evidences of his dealings this past few years in my custody." Liu Longwei said in a serious tone.
Lady Chen and Chen K gave each other a look with a deep meaning. When Liu Longwei mentioned something about the fourth largest shareholder of their company being the perpetrator, they gave each other the same look.
They two seemed to know the person very well, and were surprised to hear that he was the one behind the incident.
"Can i see this evidence?." Chen K requested.
"Of course." Liu Longwei replied and stood up to leave.
"Mum, Dad, do you know who that person is?." Chen Lihua asked her parents.
"Yes, we know him. He is a good friend of your Dad's." Lady Chen replied tiredly.
The two pairs of parents, talked about the matter for a while, until Liu Longwei came back with a sealed brown envelope.
He passed the envelope to Chen K, who took the envelope and kept it on the couch beside him.
"Dad won't you take a look at it?." Chen Lihua inquired curiously. She was expecting her father to open the envelope immediately he received, and check the content, but he did contrarily to her expectations.
"No my dear, I will do that when I get home." Chen K replied his daughter in a calm tone.
He was scared to check the contents of that envelope, because it will change his life. He was being a coward now, and he knew it.
For now, he just wanted to live in ignorance.
"Lihua my child, how are you now?." Madam Liu asked Chen Lihua in a smile, immediately changing the subject.
"I'm fine mother, i feel a lot better." Chen Lihua lied smoothly.
She has been spacing out since yesterday, and even this morning while reading. Once she was not engaged in any conversation, she would immediately start spacing out.
Just then, the butler walked in and whispered to Liu Longwei's ears.
"Master, Dr. Li is here already, she is waiting in the ante room."
"You can invite her in." Liu Longwei said in an audible voice.
"Darling, who is that?." Chen Lihua asked in an eager tone. If they were expecting more visitors, then literally she had no idea about that.
"I invited a doctor over to see you." Liu Longwei answered after exchanging glances with Lady Chen. He was a bit tensed, for he didn't know how she would react at the type of Doctor he got for her.
Chen Lihua's interest was pricked, so she asked, "What kind of Doctor?."
Just then, a woman in her late fifties walked in. She smiled, and greeted them as she introduced herself to Chen Lihua, replying to her question in the process.
"I am Dr Li, a psychiatrist at the First City Hospital."
