The servants didn't know what to do because their Mistress was doing their job, something they were being paid to do.

So they just listened to her, but dare not go out.

Everyone could see that the laundry room was well furnished with the right equipment.

So Chen Lihua immediately got busy with washing, using the washing machine.

An hour later, Liu Longwei came back home. He went upstairs to have a shower and a change of clothes. After that, he went into Chen Lihua's room to check up on her but didn't see her shadow.

So he went downstairs to ask about his wife, only to be told that she was in the laundry room.

He had a twisted expression and asked, "What is she doing there?"

"I don't know, she's been there for about an hour".

When the housekeeper saw the deadpan expression of her master, she began to shiver and hurriedly added.

"Two maids accompanied her there".

The housekeeper knew what would befall her if she didn't give a reasonable explanation.

Imagine a servant not checking up or knowing what her mistress was doing in the laundry room after not haven seen her for over an hour.

Liu Longwei was able to relax at the second response, knowing that Chen Lihua was not alone.

But then he looked at the gold wristwatch on his wrist before asking the housekeeper again. "Has she had her lunch yet?"

The housekeeper looked uneasy as she answered, "No Sir, Madam said she wasn't hungry".

'What does she mean she isn't hungry? Does she know the time?' Liu Longwei murmured as he dropped his suit jacket and work bag on the sofa before going to the laundry to find his wife.

He opened the door only to see his wife ironing clothes in the ironing board with the maids busy as well.

As soon as Liu Longwei opened the door, Chen Lihua looked up to see him and thought, 'He said he would be back early, and here he is, he really did keep to his word'.

"Welcome back". Chen Lihua greeted him with a neutral face before going back to her work.

The two maids nervously bowed to Liu Longwei in greeting before continuing with their work.

Liu Longwei walked in and asked, "Why are you doing work belonging to the servants?"

"I was bored and had nothing to do, so here I am". Chen Lihua answered nonchalantly, still ironing.

Chen Lihua could not just bring herself to smile even if she wanted as what happens in the Jewellery shop was still bugging her.

Liu Longwei put off the switch where the iron was plugged, then he beckoned on Chen Lihua to come to him, that is to step aside.

"What are you doing?" Chen Lihua asked in annoyance.

"Leave the rest for the maids and come have lunch with me?" Liu Longwei said stretching out his hand, not minding her expression.

Although Chen Lihua was annoyed, she still didn't want to embarrass him, so she placed the iron properly before taking light steps to where Liu Longwei was standing and stretched out her hand to hold his.

So hand in hand, they left the laundry room.

"Am not hungry". Chen Lihua said as she removed her hand from Liu Longwei's.

"Why?" Liu Longwei asked.

"I had lunch with my mom before coming back". Chen Lihua answered.

"I saw what you put in my room. I like the necklace, thank you". Liu Longwei said sincerely.

Just when he went into his room, he saw the stuff Chen Lihua left there and went through it. He was far amazed at the necklace, so he put it away without trying it on and went to look for her.

But unfortunately, he didn't see her and had to come to look for her.

"You don't have to thank me". Chen Lihua replied.

"I have to". Liu Longwei replied and held her hand.

"Well, suit yourself". Chen Lihua said trying to free her hand, but Liu Longwei didn't allow her.

At last in the living room, Chen Lihua was able to free her hands and so walked off to her bedroom, leaving Liu Longwei's hand to dangle freely.

Liu Longwei sat on the dining chair to enjoy his lunch.

Now Liu Longwei knew Chen Lihua wasn't in a good mood, and so asked the housekeeper and servants if they knew the reason for her bad mood, but they all gave a negative affirmation.

So he called the bodyguards that followed her out earlier and asked the same question.

So, that's how he got to find out about everything that happened today.

Liu Longwei was angry, and that made the food he ate to start pleading with him for him to calm down, so they could digest in peace.

Now after finding out the reason behind Chen Lihua's mood, he hurried up the stairs to go and placate his wife.

Chen Lihua was sitting on her bed and busy with her phone when Liu Longwei knocked and entered her bedroom.

Chen Lihua looked up and then continued with her phone after seeing that he was the one.

Liu Longwei sat on her bed before saying calmly, "I heard what happened today, and am sorry for that".

His words made Chen Lihua glance at him. "Well, it's not your fault. I didn't really take all that to heart, it's just that I usually get annoyed at the slightest thing whenever my period is on". Chen Lihua answered truthfully.

"So you're not angry anymore?" Liu Longwei asked, not quite sure of her mood.

"You don't believe me. In fact, at one corner of my heart, I was quite happy at leaving them speechless. There's no how I would be short-changed, especially when trouble comes for me". Chen Lihua finally said with a smile.

Liu Longwei: ??.

He sure couldn't understand how she became happy the next minute after she was in a bad mood.

'But it's good that she's no longer angry, otherwise, it would be more troublesome'. He thought.

The afternoon of the next day, Chen Lihua entered the kitchen to watch the housekeeper make lunch.

The housekeeper was scared out of her wits because it was the first time her Mistress entered the kitchen since she started living there.

So she told her to wait in the dining room for lunch because of the heat in the kitchen, but Chen Lihua refused and sat on the stool placed beside the kitchen island and watched the housekeeper and other servants prepare lunch.

The housekeeper finally gave up in persuading her, thinking that Chen Lihua was learning how to cook from them because of the way she watched them keenly and that even made them to be on their tenterhooks, afraid of making mistakes and causing her to be dissatisfied with them.

Chen Lihua saw that they were uncomfortable, and so asked them to pretend she was not there, but how in the world is that possible?

So, Chen Lihua sighed and left the kitchen after a while as she saw them make more mistakes because of their nervousness.
