Nia rushed back into the house to her room through the stairs in a hurry. The middle-aged woman looked so panicked because her daughter didn't accept it right away and instead ran into the car. she didn't expect things to get this complicated and She felt she had to show proof that she was her real mother.

Arriving in the room, Nia approached the dressing table where she put her bag. She immediately grabbed the wallet and took an old and crumpled photo, then carried it out of the room and out of the house across the stairs.

__

Keenan opened the car door and tried to talk to Jasmine who was sobbing. "Honey, what happened? Why are you crying?"

"She said she's my mom, that can't be because my mom is Marta," Jasmine explained through sobs. "I can't believe it, because the one who takes care of me who feeds me every day is mommy, not her!"

Keenan stared at Jasmine who was still in shock. "Calm down, I'll try to ask Mrs. Nia for an explanation," he said later..

"There's nothing to explain, maybe she just confessed without being able to give evidence! I only have one mother, that's Marta." Jasmine was even more annoyed and then closed the car door again.

Keenan sighed and glanced at Wildan who had been seeing him for a long time. "Everything was unexpected, sir. I didn't expect her to deny this fact."

"Patience, she needs time to accept..let her calm down," said Wildan then his attention was focused on Nia who had just arrived from inside the house. His wife walked in a hurry to him and also Keenan.

"Keenan," Nia called.

Keenan just stared at Nia who showed a tinge of sadness on her slightly wrinkled face, then handed him a small photo.

"Son, give this photo to your wife. This photo is all I have to make her believe that I am her mother, her real mother," she exclaimed with a hopeful look then glanced at the car. "She is my daughter."

Keenan looked pityingly at Nia who was so saddened by Jasmine's unexpected response. He immediately grabbed the old photo and said, "hope this can convince her and you will be able to love each other after this, I will try to persuade her."

"Thank you, son," Nia said with her eyes still teary.

Keenan turned to look at Wildan. ."Sir, I'm leaving to go home soon."

"Be careful. Let your wife calm down first," said Wildan then hugged Nia from the side, intending to calm her down.

Keenan immediately pocketed the small photo into his jeans pocket then he rushed into the car.

Jasmine glanced at Nia and Wildan who were still standing staring at her from the left side of the car about three meters away. 'Is she my mother? But why let me be raised by Mommy Marta? Why does she have the heart to let me in trouble while she lives in luxury,' she thought while looking at the house.

"Honey," called Keenan who had not yet driven his car.

Jasmine just looked away without responding.

Keenan reached out to caress Jasmine's hair lovingly and his dark blue eyes looked so stiff as if he couldn't bear to see his wife cry. "You have to be patient, I will always support you."

"Take me to mommy's house, I have to meet and ask for an explanation from her," Jasmine exclaimed in a very low voice, occasionally still sobbing.

"Okay, we'll go there," Keenan replied then immediately drove his car towards the exit gate. He immediately drove towards the road to Marta's house which was about 55 km from Nia's house.

Nia started to cry again when Keenan's car was gone and was nowhere to be seen. She leaned her head on his husband's shoulder and sobbed.

"Am I not worthy to be her mother. She even immediately refused before I explained everything," she said sadly.

"You deserve it, you've been looking for her this whole time. It's just that the time that brings you two together is quite a long time, she needs to calm down to accept all this, you have to be patient and let her think," said Wildan while rubbing Nia's shoulder.

"It hurts so much, she is so proud of Marta and doesn't want to accept me as her biological mother. If I wasn't stupid to leave her, maybe she would also love me as much as she loves Marta as her mother," Nia grumbled cursing herself.

Wildan sighed then released his embrace on Nia. "We'd better go in, I'll call Keenan later and try to talk to Jasmine."

Nia nodded and immediately entered the house with Wildan with limp steps. The image of the time when Jasmine rejected her as her biological mother, seemed to keep wandering through her mind, causing intense pain in her heart.

----

After drifting for a few minutes, Keenan stopped his car in Marta's yard. From inside the car, he glanced at the house it looked dark and deserted.

"Still quiet and dark, maybe mommy isn't around," Keenan muttered as he glanced at Jasmine who was staring at her mother's house.

Jasmine was silent with teary eyes. She was confused by this situation. Her mother went somewhere did not give news, then there was a woman who claimed to be her biological mother. She hesitated not knowing which one to believe.

"Let's go home," Jasmine said in a very low voice as she continued to stare at the dark and lonely house.

Keenan grabbed Jasmine's finger and held it. "Honey, don't cry. I'll help you and I'll always be there for you."

Jasmine turned to look at Keenan who was trying to calm her down. "Let's go home," she called out later.

Keenan nodded and immediately drove his car back to the apartment at an average speed. Sometimes he glanced at Jasmine, who was silent while gazing at the sights of the streets of Jakarta, which were always busy and filled with sparkling lights that lit up every building and roadside.

Jasmine felt sad when she saw some young girls still wearing school clothes, walking on the side of the road carrying their bags which were probably heavy with textbooks. It reminded her that when she was still studying at the high school level, she often came home at night because she had to work as a private tutor for elementary school children, with a modest fee for school fees.

'I went through a lot of hardships and she lives in luxury. Why did she just come and confess? It's useless because the one who took care of me since I was a baby was Marta. even though she's fierce and rude, she's the one who raised me, without letting me starve and letting me choose my path, even though in the end I was only sold,' Jasmine thought then glanced at Keenan who had bought and married her, making her difficult life so easy and beautiful ..___

Arriving at the apartment, Jasmine went straight to her room and sat on the edge of the bed. Keenan immediately approached her and sat beside her.

Keenan reached into his trouser pocket to take the photo that Nia had given him.

"She gave this to you," Keenan exclaimed as he handed the photo to Jasmine.

Jasmine grabbed the photo and stared at it. The photo shows a picture of a beautiful and cute baby still very small lying on a pink blanket and wearing a red hat. 'Is it me when I was a baby? I feel like I've seen this blanket in Mommy's wardrobe,' she thought as she continued to stare at the old and wrinkled photo.

"I'm sure she is your mother," Keenan muttered as he looked at the photo. he smiled happily seeing his wife's portrait when she was a baby already looked so beautiful.

"But why did she let me be raised by mommy Marta while she was living well with her husband? I don't understand who her husband is, is he my father or not?" Jasmine continued to stare at the photo. 'I have to find the truth about all this, Mrs. Nia must have a reason why she left me,' she thought then put the photo into her small bag.

"She must have a reason. You have to try to hear an explanation from her," Keenan exclaimed.

"She should come to explain. Now I'm tired, I want to sleep." Jasmine immediately got up and changed into her pajamas and rushed to sleep, though it was hard to keep up with the photo...
