Dilan had learned a lot from the Great Wise and all the books and tomes he had read in the City of Trials' library.
His knowledge had increased by leaps and bounds.
This didn't really change his personality, let alone his intelligence but it was still very helpful, in many ways.
The pure races were considered Flawed Races by Dilan. Being unable to lie might be helpful in certain situations but sometimes he felt that it was necessary to lie to protect his family and friends.
As for killing without good reason, Dilan had done so very often. He killed various monsters, no matter whether they were vile or not. His great reason had been to collect their Essence crystals and become stronger.
In the long process, his reasoning was good enough, but a mountain of millions of corpses was piled up behind Dilan and the other human Demi Gods. Their rapid advancement was given to them through the strength they gained from the beings they killed.
They had become Demi Gods and truly powerful thanks to the millions of living beings they ended.
Was that considered vile? That's for sure! However, it was also necessary, or it had been necessary at that time.
In fact, Dilan was pretty sure that it was still necessary to hunt monsters and use their Essence crystals to become stronger, just because it accelerated his advancement.
He needed to become strong as fast as possible, after all!
His desires and goals were important enough for him to end up slaughtering millions of beings. There was no lack of conviction in his actions, and he was certain that they were justified…but would the Powers the Flawed races possess think of it in the same way?
Dilan was pretty sure that this was not the case. The Flawed races wouldn't be able to do certain things, which might, or might not end up disastrous.
Unable to become stronger at a rapid pace because their powers put unavoidable obstacles in their way, many races might have already been obliterated.
That was truly something Dilan would consider 'fucked up', especially since certain flawed races relied on the powers they were granted!
There were a few reasons for Dilan to presume that Ariel Silvertale belonged to a race like that and that she was a Lesser God, unable to lie because she needed to keep her image in the name of her powers, possibly even her Divinity.
Everything except the theory Dilan had about Ariel Silvertale's theory was confirmed through her messages, which was the reason for him to feel so complicated right now.
'Was she trying to get on my soft side? Did she want my help, or was she trying to help me? No matter what, there is not really a reason for her to tell me about everything…'
Dilan was truly confused. Ariel Silvertale told him basically everything that had happened to her from the day she arrived in Milarn.
Her story was far more detailed than the information he had received from the others, his own people.
Dilan could understand that his people were not able to tell him much yet because their scars were not yet healed. It was questionable whether time would tend their wounds, or if they needed more to truly get over the trauma the Fourth Awakening and everything that happened because of it, had caused.
'An Angel at that, one of the leaders from the Angel's Haven…is that really a coincidence?'
Dilan smiled weirdly. He looked at the bunch of messages and read through them for a second and third time.
After sacrificing half of her race's treasures, Ariel Silvertale and a large delegation of the strongest Archangels emerged on Milarn only days after the Fourth Awakening. That was the day she sent him the first large message.
Dilan was not sure what thoughts had been going through her mind at that time but she had asked about his rough position and if they would be working together to fight against the other Alliances.
Basically, Ariel Silvertale's message had become both, a warning that they would become and that her race was ready to fight, and shed blood in the name of their Power, and a scouting offer for the only Divine Occupation in this generation's Primordial Ascension.
Dilan didn't answer anything but that was only obvious. He hadn't been on Milarn, let alone the known Universe, to begin with.
After that, a few short messages followed before Ariel Silvertale seemed to have given up messaging him for a while. Dilan knew that the fights of the Angel's Haven Alliance had been rough during that time and for several years that followed suit.
Thus, it was quite surprising that Ariel Silvertale still thought about him a year after the Fourth Awakening had been initiated. She must have been extremely busy and every single day should have been filled with fighting, yet, she found the time to send him another message.
The message was long but the content was rather simple. She described the cruel fights against the Devil's Order. It had been bloody, the Archangels killed many but there were also many casualties.
Dilan was astonished at how detailed Ariel's description of certain fights had been because Dilan felt like he was present at that time.
She issued another invitation and said that she prayed for his survival.
As for the last message from 10 years ago, Dilan was not sure what he was supposed to think about it. Ariel Silvertale complained about many things. The last message was also the longest message and it was the only message that didn't really feel like a message.
The only sentence that felt like a message to him was also the last sentence in the huge text message she had sent more than a decade ago.
[Shall we meet?]
Dilan was still baffled when he read that message even after the third time. He could tell that Ariel Silvertale was tired of all the fighting but that was only obvious.
They might have won against the Devil's Order that moved to a different continent but they had been defeated after their glorious win against their nemesis.
The Angel's Haven Alliance was forced to retreat to Camsun. When Dilan read this, he was also quite astonished.
Milarn had increased in size, which meant that Camsun had also grown, but the continent was still one of the smallest if he understood the logic behind the growth of awakened planets.
As if that was not enough, one of the Sun God's borders was actually the Angel's Haven Alliance!
Dilan didn't read about that in Ariel's message but he took a look at the report of the territory distribution in Camsun. The information their group had were not that much but it was enough to figure out the name of the powers that resided around the Sun God's tiny territory.
"You have to be kidding me…" He blurted out, not sure whether to smile or curse.
For a moment, he wondered whether the Oracle had pulled some strings, or if everything was truly just a coincidence.
However, a single thought was enough for him to understand that the Oracle would never do something like that.
Even if she did, it wouldn't really change anything.
Or would it?
