"Huh? What did you just say?" Siegfried Mekaz looked at the stranger with widened eyes.
However, before he could receive an answer did the stranger already disappear.
Dilan emerged a few kilometers away from Siegfried Mekaz, high in the air with his hands stretching out high into the cloudless sky.
"I should show my nephew what true strength is, right?!" He thundered while activating Switch to reallocate his Health to increase his Mana.
Afterward, he didn't hesitate at all as he used every ounce of mana from within him to create hundreds of bolts of lightning all around him.
But Dilan was not yet done. He used the only trait he didn't have to make use of in the City of Trials. Finally, after 10,000 years, he activated his special trait Bearer of Pain once again, replenishing his mana rapidly with the use of his Life Force.
With the True Undying Essence activated, his life force replenished in an instant and he could activate Bearer of Pain once again.
Following that, Dilan uses up his mana once again to conjure more and more bolts of lightning. His mana was used up again, but Dilan could use his special trait to fill it up once again.
As long as his True Undying Essence was activated, his life force would never dry out, never!
'What is a little bit of pain in exchange for a great show, am I right?!'
A bright smile formed on Dilan's face as he kept conjuring bolts of lightning in the vast and cloudless sky.
In the minute that followed, Dilan filled the entire sky above the humongous battlefield with bolts of lightning. His life force had been drained and refilled dozens of times but that was nothing to be worried about.
The True Undying Essence didn't even lose any of its charges and Dilan could continue repeating the same process that allowed him to use countless times more mana than he was able to hoard with normal means.
"Siegfried Mekaz!!" Dilan shouted at the top of his lungs.
His voice reverberated through the entire battlefield that had come to a halt after the sky hat turned purple from all the lightning that filled it.
"Y-Y-Yes…Sir?" Siegfried stuttered, almost biting his tongue from how nervous he was.
He had never seen the young stranger before, but if there was one thing he could tell about the young man…then it was that he was strong…much stronger than his Tier suggested.
'How is it possible for someone at the fourth Tier to control so much mana…is he really human, Saxiel?' Siegfried wondered, at the sight of the lightning-covered sky.
[Even a Greater Lightning Dragon wouldn't be able to do the same….not at the fourth Tier….] The Lesser Lightning Dragon, Saxiel answered, not sure if what he saw was real or just an illusion.
No. He knew that it was real, but he didn't want to acknowledge that it was not an illusion. It was simply impossible!
"Watch your Uncle and learn!!" Dilan thundered while his face turned into utter bliss as he moved his arms down to the earth in a fast, yet oddly elegant motion.
Time seemed to slow down for every single participant of the Warface. Seconds turned into minutes as the bolts of lightning started to rain down on the ground.
They hailed down, bringing forth doom to the Rasnian and Ligrav that were too slow to move away. The bringer of death caused death and destruction while the entire world was being flooded with the sounds of explosion and tens of thousands of bolts of lightning whose thunder overlapped with one another.
The sound of thunder reigned supreme, filling the world around Dilan and everyone in a range of hundreds of kilometers. However, Dilan was just staring down on the ground, his Mystic Eyes fully unleashed.
He could clearly see the desperation gleaming in the eyes of the Rasnian and Ligrav, even to the strongest of them.
It looked like nobody would be able to survive the lightning storm caused by a single, seemingly ordinary, human being.
At least, no Rasnian and Ligrav seemed to be able to survive…after all, not a single monster, or human was struck by the bolts of lightning or the debris and rubble that were flung around by the bolts' destructive might.
Dilan had created a layer of wind to make sure that both parties on the battlefield were separated properly. He didn't want to turn an ally into crispy bacon, after all.
His expression changed slowly back when the last bolts of lightning struck their target. Every single one of them created a huge crater in the ground, killing tens, if not hundreds of opponents at once.
"Oh? There are still a few of them alive…even some of the few fifth Tier Rasnian and Ligrav…maybe I should give them to my nephew…" Dilan thought out loud, controlling the winds around him to blast to the ground.
The Gravity Domain's effect had worn off and Dilan smashed into the ground, feet first. His landing created a huge crater and his legs cracked due to his lowered health stat.
But Dilan didn't pay any heed to his broken ankles as they healed in an instant. He stepped toward the half-dead Rasnian and Ligrav and looked down on them.
Their feathers and fur were still burning, and as nice as Dilan was, he conjured a small fountain of water to extinguish their flames. He picked up their half-dead body and drenched them in water before he threw them aside once again.
"It has been quite a while since I saw bastards as ugly as you. Did your fatass master of a Sun God also descend onto Milarn?" Dilan asked, while sitting down on the chair he weaved with earth-attributed mana.
Seated, he looked down on the bodies of the existences he would have feared in the past.
"I wouldn't have to leave Milarn to fight guys like you…I would have never required 27 years to ascend godhood…"
Dilan sounded bitter and that was exactly how he felt right now. He didn't even need to use any of his newly acquired techniques to defeat an army of over a million second to fifth Tier Ascenders.
There had only been three 5th Tier Rasnian and Ligrav, but that was even more reason for Dilan to feel bitter right now.
If it had only been to defeat other races and to wipe the surface of Milarn with a few Lesser Gods it wouldn't have been necessary for him to spend 10,000 years in the City of Trials.
As unfortunate as it was, Dilan felt quite relieved that there were many more threats all over Milarn, and in the vast Universe, threats he would only be able to defeat by using the things he had learned in the City of Trials.
And, thinking about it, he could only manifest, and even more so, maintain tens of thousands of lightning bolts thanks to the Fallen Celestial's teachings.
'Maybe it was not that bad…maybe I'm getting sentinel…'
