[I messed up your plans? That just means you wanted to come over to Milarn and make use of the system as well… and now you're not prepared enough to adjust to the new situation!] Dilan didn't like the fact that Ariel Silvertale was blaming him for the situation.
Killing his father might have been his doing but he wouldn't accept getting faulted by someone who was not even an inhabitant on Milarn!
Nonetheless, the situation was far from easy to handle.
'Now I know that Tier-6 Ascenders are Lesser Gods. Those Gods are probably the same ones who created the Basic Temples, and that means I might have made quite a few enemies, whom we will meet in the near future. I need to advance to the fourth Tier as quickly as possible…and improve my stats, equipment, and abilities as much as possible, otherwise, we will be as good as dead!' Dilan had more important things to do than being bothered about Ariel's accusation.
He wrote a quick report that summarized everything Ariel had revealed to him and then went over to Williams and Sven to share the report with them.
-n0ve1、com Afterward, he sat down on a chair to enter deep thoughts in which he would try to figure out the fastest way to advance to Tier-4.
'Even if I don't care about my stats, I have more than 60 levels left to advance to reach Level 100. That will take a while, considering that I need 20 times more Essences than others!' Dilan figured but got quickly distracted when he received a new message from Ariel Silvertale.
[Urgh…forget it. Whether it's your fault or not doesn't really matter. What happened in the past stays in the past, or so they say. I will have to adjust myself to the new system, and so will you!] Ariel Silvertale mentioned the obvious, causing Dilan to scoff at her in ridicule.
[You didn't even deny that you wanted to come to Milarn. I guess you're a Lesser God who is unable to advance to True Godhood without the system's help. Were you genuinely concerned about me when you told me that I should abandon the system if I wanted to retain my true strength, or was that just something you said to make sure that I will never become stronger than you? Was it just envy?] Dilan asked, his words clearly showing that he was slowly getting riled up.
He was not sure why but he suddenly recalled the moment when Ariel Silvertale had told him to abandon the system, that it would make him stronger if he were to advance on his own, and something like that.
Dilan hadn't thought much about it before, but given that Ariel Silvertale was almost desperate to activate the Primordial Ascension's support system by herself, he was not sure about her reasons to help him anymore.
He felt sour and began to frown as he saw the three dots in the text box. Ariel Silvertale was writing something and she took her time to write the message, telling Dilan that she had most probably calmed down…due for whatever reason.
"Has that report been confirmed?" Williams asked, dragging Dilan's attention away from the chat. He looked at Dilan and his eyes were trembling a bit. This got only worse when he saw Dilan's apologetic expression.
"I wrote the report, and I cannot confirm nor deny it. In fact, this is the only piece of information I have about the Fourth Awakening," Dilan spoke in all honesty. There was no need to lie as it would only make things worse right now.
"That means Milarn's Tier restrictions will be removed and any kind of existence can emerge on Milarn as long as they offer a tribute that is equivalent to the rank of the being that wants to come over?" Sven tried to further summarize the report and Dilan nodded his head once again, "That's basically it."
Sven looked deep into Dilan's eyes in an attempt to figure out what exactly was going on in their leader's mind. Unfortunately, it was not possible for him to succeed a lot. There was not much for him to tell, especially since Dilan was hard to read, from the get-go.
However, the bits Sven could tell were enough for him to understand that the situation was way too much for Dilan to handle alone.
'He might be able to survive on his own, but he will definitely not be able to protect everyone. Dilan will end up sacrificing himself to protect his sisters, and everyone will die nonetheless…' Sven realized and unease crept up his spine.
Thousands of ideas flashed through his mind, one scarier than the other. All of them seemed suicidal and none was feasible for their current predicaments.
There had to be a way for them to survive the Primordial Ascension's Fourth Awakening, a way to survive everything without getting overrun by trillions of powerful monsters and Foreign Ascenders!
"Do you think we should leave Milarn for the time being? At least until we're strong enough to reclaim what will be taken from us?" Sven asked all of a sudden.
Williams looked at his friend, his shock visible in his eyes.
"What the hell are you talking about? We cannot just le–..." He was about to lash out at his friend and continue to tell him off when Dilan cleared his throat.
"Leaving Milarn…I don't know how tricky the situation will be on Camsun because the continent is small and probably not of much interest to a lot of races and Gods, especially since I cleared most Chaos Gates already, but it should be a good idea to set up a few emergency plans for the adverse possibility of everything going downhill.
I don't want my sisters, their loved ones, and you guys to die, just because I killed my father… I will do everything necessary to protect all of you, but I might not be strong enough…so prepare for the worst…" Dilan replied in a concerned tone. He couldn't lie to Williams and Sven, not right now.
He would have loved to tell them that everything would be fine and that everyone would be able to survive the Fourth Awakening. However, the truth was different and Dilan didn't know what would happen.
