Even now, there were not too many Tier-2 Ascenders in the Undying group.
After they witnessed how powerful Victoria had become, everyone was preparing for the highest difficulty advancement mission they could choose for their occupation.
The Ascenders tried to improve their stats to their limit, learn new abilities, and gain more combat experience in the wilderness of the Shikan plains.
Dilan had been a bit disappointed when he heard the number of Tier-2 Ascenders in his group after he returned, but this disappointment dispersed quickly because he understood that everyone was trying their best to become the strongest version of themselves.
His overwhelming strength had also soon become a hot topic of discussion because almost all of them spoke about it every now and then.
The Vampire Lord stayed near the Sanctum, seemingly devastated, and his head hung low while the Alpha Lord wreaked havoc, clearly knowing that his pack had witnessed the humiliation he faced when he was defeated by the bloodlust and overwhelming mana of a human.
For a while, the Alpha Lord even thought of taking his life to make sure that the humiliation couldn’t reach a new level of low. However, he changed his opinion quickly when he realized that his name would go down in history as the cowardly Alpha Lord, who took his life after one defeat.
He didn’t want to end this way and knew that he would have to change if he wanted to become better and stronger, an Alpha everyone looked up to!
Dilan didn’t really care about anything that happened after he had returned. He gave himself some time to rest because he had overworked himself for the last three days.
Thus, he slept for nearly 24 hours before he watched his surroundings for the following 24 hours.
It was the 59th day after the Primordial Ascension, which meant that it had almost been two months since everything had changed.
Most people dared to say that they hated the Primordial Ascension but there were also more than enough people, who felt like the Primordial Ascension was a blessing in disguise. It was as if the Primordial Ascension had come to them when they needed it most, thus they looked at it as a blessing and an opportunity to redeem themselves.
However, in the end, it was just something that happened, whether it brought someone excitement or misery. Dilan doubted that whatever or whoever had initiated the Primordial Ascension truly cared about what it did to the beings living on Milarn.
That was why he didn’t look at the Primordial Ascension as something he should hate or be grateful for. It was just something that happened and there was no reason to waste time thinking about the whys and ifs….
“Are you guys ready?” Dilan asked while stifling a yawn when he stood in front of the Realm Gate that would lead them to the entrance of the Blood Monarch’s Instance dungeon.
Yvonne and Victoria looked at each other for a moment before they nodded their heads.
“I’m ready too!!” A familiar voice called out from behind them all of a sudden and Yvonne began to frown deeply.
“Kathrine? You’ve advanced to Tier-2?” She asked, slightly astonished and Kathrine could only grin widely.
“Of course I did! All my stats have surpassed 100 Units as well, and my [Rare+] occupation advanced to an [Extraordinary] occupation as well!” Kathrine proudly announced, flicking her hair back before a wide smile emerged on her face.
Dilan gave her a thumbs up before he turned his attention back to the Realm Gate.
He was not sure what awaited them. Thus, he manifested the Hyel Destructo Armor set and unsheathed the Cursed Dagger Xealtron.
“If everyone is ready, let’s go!” Dilan stated and took the first step through the Realm Gate.
Kathrine pouted a bit when she saw that Dilan didn’t react much upon getting to know that she had advanced and could follow them as well. She hadn’t slept for the last five days to advance to Tier-2 and improve her stats enough to be eligible to enter the Realm Gate, just for Dilan to give her a mere thumbs up that dampened her spirits.
“You know how he is. The thumbs-up is already worth a lot…I guess,” Yvonne said as she rubbed her sister’s back lovingly. After a moment, she pushed Kathrine lightly, causing her to stumble and enter the Realm Gate where Victoria had already disappeared.
“Let’s g–…” Yvonne raised her arms trying to motivate herself when she was interrupted by a flood of golden messages that emerged right in front of her.
[Two moons have elapsed since the arrival of the Primordial Ascension. The first phase has been concluded successfully! The second phase of Milarn’s True awakening has been initiated! The Hordes of Chaos and Destruction will be released, and the planet labeled as ‘Milarn’ will open to the Frontier Dimensions, and the Streams of Reality!]
[The Interface System will be upgraded. The Log of the Ancient won’t be accessible for the next 24 hours!]
It was midnight…and exactly two months after the Primordial Ascension had been initiated, and the Second Phase had just been initiated…bringing forth the Horde of Destruction and various changes to the interface of the Log of the Ancient.
Everything would change…once again, or so it felt, at the very least.
“I have to tell Dilan and the others!” Yvonne exclaimed as her eyes widened in shock.
She bit her lips and looked back to see if there was someone else to give commands to, but realized that there was nobody.
Gritting her teeth, she jumped through the Realm Gate with the aim to report everything to Dilan and the others if they didn’t already know about it.
“Just what is going on?!?” She ran her fingers through her hair in frustration before she landed on the other side of the Realm Gate, where she found her sister, Victoria, and Dilan standing on red smoking stones, looking at the ginormous building.
For a few seconds, Yvonne was baffled by what was going on in the place they had emerged, but she quickly turned around to look at the information about the Realm Gate that had changed drastically.
[To return through the Realm Gate, the permission of the Instance Dungeon, or being at Tier-3 with all stats above 200 is required!]
“Fuck this shit!” She cursed out loudly, causing everyone to turn their head in her direction.
It was rare to hear Yvonne cursing because she was one of the calmest and most composed people known in the Undying group.
“What’s wrong?” Dilan asked before he saw the notification of the Realm Gate as well.
The notification was somewhat frustrating but it was not enough to make Yvonne curse out loudly.
However, Yvonne didn’t say anything as she shared the notification she had received with the others because she felt that Dilan and the others might not have received or read through the notification.
“The interface will update? But I can still access my Log of the Ancient?” Kathrine mumbled in confusion after she finished reading the notification her sister had shown her.
“I guess there is a delay in the message because we left Milarn before the notification reached everyone,” Dilan concluded. It was no sooner that the same notification Yvonne had shared with them appeared in front of them as well.
“The Hordes of Chaos and Destruction sound a little bit problematic, and the same goes for the Frontier Dimensions and the Streams of Reality… I have no idea what either of them actually mean…” Dilan said in all honesty but he smiled lightly as he opened the Divinity Mission Board with a single thought that acted as a command.
‘So that works even without the Log of the Ancient?’ He wondered and his smile widened further as he returned to his mission as the question-asking idiot in the chat of the Divinity Mission Board!
