Chapter 91: This is my territory (1)
If someone recorded how Dohyuk was unleashing his move-
And if it were shown to people who knew something about martial arts, Dohyuk would be ridiculed for his actions.
That was not right. The human body was not fit for that kind of movement.
However, there was one thing that everyone, even those who lived in this world, did not know.
‘I am not a normal human.’
Dohyuk’s foot slammed against Jung Ilhu’s wrist. There was the sound of metal clashing, instead of flesh against flesh that spread across the hall. These two men had bodies that were more durable than metal itself.
Yes, they were not normal humans. No human had a body that was this strong, this fast, and this durable. This was way above the limit of the human body, and that was why it was not logical. It was not right.
Ilhu’s claw zoomed forward as if he was trying to jab, but instead of a fist, it was with a claw. It was an extremely powerful move. Yet, that move was still for people with normal bodies. It was a type of movement that was made to allow human bodies to work in the most efficient ways.
They did not have to be confined by these restrictions.
Dohyuk knew this. That is why he twisted himself.
He felt his muscles and joints alarming him for his irregular movements. They were warning him that they were not meant to move like this.
Ironically, if Dohyuk was his usual self, he would’ve been dead by now. He felt the claw flying past his nose and he brought up his knee. It was a kick that was based off from his Flying Master Kicks, but his execution was still not right as the kick strained his waist and back.
Nonetheless, Dohyuk had other thoughts.
‘Who cares.’
He had the power to withstand a car ramming into him, and he was fine when he was buried alive. He also had a way to recover his sliced off limbs. That petty straining was nothing if he could crush Ilhu’s chin.
Ilhu was shaken as he raised his arm to defend himself. He was trying to defend against every possible attack from Dohyuk, but there was no kick. Instead, he used his hands to throw several hairs into Ilhu’s face.
The strands of hair stuck a few of Ilhu’s soft spots on his face – his nostrils, and his eyes. He screamed in pain as he covered his eyes and backed away.
“M-master!!”
There was no more arrogance. He was now filled with fear.
<<Flying Master Kicks transfer rate increased>>
Dohyuk saw the window in front of him.
<<Transferred: 12.4%>>
He understood what it meant. He had been attacking with his version of Flying Master Kicks, but they all consisted of basic movements. Dohyuk was getting used to it. As he kept on moving, he now felt how he should orchestrate his attacks and how he should focus on his body coordination.
“...”
Dohyuk’s breathing was getting quicker, but he wasn’t out of breath. This, too, was the new breathing tempo he gained from the experience just now. Ilhu was now at the wall on the other side. He was still holding onto his eyes as he was mumbling something.
“He is begging.” Blass told Dohyuk, “He is begging to his god, Vehume, for power to end this fight.”
“...”
It was probably not too easy. This labyrinth blocked all power from Vehume and if he granted his power without an exchange in this condition, he would pay dearly for it.
“There’s no time to waste. If Vehume grants the power to him, you won’t be able to overcome the difference in physical power with your skills. You will have to finish it fast. Or are you out of energy? Then I will...”
Blass spoke quickly, and before he could finish, an item for Dohyuk to digest popped up from the ground.
“I don’t need it.”
Dohyuk refused it without even glancing at the item.
“What?”
“You told me while ago that you don’t believe me. And that’s why you can’t just give me an item first. You are right.” Dohyuk nodded, “I’ll show you first. I will have you give me everything rather than have you provide me with little by little over time.”
Dohyuk then moved out. It was the right timing, as Ilhu also got up.
“You have become...” Dohyuk spoke to Ilhu, “...more handsome.”
Ilhu now had no face other than his mouth. Even his ears were disfigured and his mouth now reached the end of his face. His body was also twitching, making weird sounds as it grew bigger. It seemed that Vehume had decided to invest everything into Ilhu.
The metal ground Ilhu was standing on was crushed. Was it because of the weight of his body? Or it his sheer power? Whatever the case, Ilhu, or the being that was used to be Ilhu, now had a body that was beyond human. It was possibly strong enough to even fight on equal terms with Jung Ilgyu.
When he opened his mouth, a long tongue was let out through his newly-acquired sharp teeth. It was a meter-long tentacle that could be used as a weapon on its own.
“That’s...” Dohyuk readied himself for Ilhu’s charge. “Everything you got?”
There was no answer other than Jung Ilhu charging at Dohyuk. Before Dohyuk could react, Ilhu’s tongue penetrated Dohyuk’s chest. He was ready, but he couldn’t react at all. Ilhu used both hands to grab Dohyuk’s neck and arm. The tongue began sucking Dohyuk’s blood.
It was quick, but Dohyuk did not fight back. He silently began to tracing one of his memories.
Five days ago, Giwon had told him about it.
“You should save that for last.”
They were on their way back after they had fun at Yabadop’s region. Dohyuk now trusted Giwon after the incident in Yabadop’s region and he shared his secret about him being a god to Giwon.
“Save it? Why?”
“It will serve to prove your power, but it has a weakness. You said you defeated Kang Changkun who borrowed Grava’s power. Of course, it’s because you were formidable, but it also means...”
“I was stronger than Grava’s power.”
“Yes. You were able to fight in close combat with Changkun and his hyper regeneration skill did not work well against you.”
Giwon mentioned the fact about one skill being weaker than another. So was the power between gods.
“Power between gods. Or options and Natures... they all have weaknesses. There are some weaknesses that one doesn’t even realize they may have.”
So, even when one had a secret weapon to deal with everything, it could be very wrong to solely rely on it just in case.
“Let’s say Changkun served a ‘water’ type god, or had an item that resisted fire – you would have been in trouble. So, unless it’s a case where you don’t have any control..”
“You’re saying I should make a careful analysis as the enemy gets stronger.” Dohyuk shrugged, “Oh, and sorry for interrupting you.”
“No, you understand my advice.”
Dohyuk understood and heeded the advice. After all, he was the one who had almost no knowledge about this world.
