Chapter 357: Shu Yan smiled. Of course she had faith in Fang Zeyu. (2)
Shu Yan had been busy lately as well -- making samples of the outfits, filming the advertisements, the direct-sale store, and Hu Ruixue wanted to enter some of their designs into overseas competitions. The scales of the competitions did not matter. It would be publicity regardless.
That was a great idea. As much as they didn’t want to admit to it, but the overall trend was that everything from overseas were better. Once they had entered into some overseas competition and received some important-sounding awards, they would flare much better domestically.
The outcome of proceeding down multiple paths was that both Shu Yan and Hu Ruixue were stretched very thin.
Coincidentally, Feng Zeyu’s branch office in City Han was about to have its grand opening. As the boss, he needed to be there to oversee it in person. For a while there, the two couldn’t even see each other but could only talk to each other over the phone at night.
“I am almost done here and should be returning tomorrow or the day after. City Han is quite nice with lots of fun places and good food. I am sure you will like it here. We can travel here with the children next time.” Feng Zeyu knew that Shu Yan loved travel. He always asked around every place that he went and would want to take Shu Yan there if the place sounded good.
Shu Yan’s lips curved upward when she heard his words. “Sure, when our work has die down some. We will go to the oceanside first. I have almost promised the kids.”
“Of course, I am talking about in the future.”
Shu Yan chuckled. The ocean would have to be City Gang. Now they have added City Han. If the list keeps growing, would they have the rest of their lives planned?
Shu Yan’s meeting ended early today and she planned take off early and head to the market. She had just reached the corner of the street when she was stopped by a woman.
“Who are you?” Shu Yan looked her up and down and was certain that she had never seen that woman before.
“Hi, my name is Zhou Xiao Mei. I am a literature teacher at a high school.” Zhou Xiao Mei stressed her profession before she looked Shu Yan up and down. “I…… just want to see what the woman that Feng Zeyu is fond of looks like.”
Her word choices were very misleading. I made Shu Yan sounded like she was the third person in a relationship and that this Zhou Xiao Mei was the legitimate one here to catch her.
Shu Yan looked at Zhou Xiao Mei relaxingly, smiled, and asked. “And how are you related to Yu?”
“I……. You know the old lady that Feng Zeyu lives with? She likes me a lot and had her girlfriend looked into my situation previously. You know, I need to be subtle so I thought I would take a peek at Comrade Fang first before I make my decision. Lo and behold, he was the man who had saved me in the past. I had been looking for him to no avail. I guess it was fate, to meet him again under such circumstances. But I’ve heard that he is already seeing someone, so…… I want to find out for sure. If it’s true then……I…… I will withdraw.”
Just what kind of white lotus was this? She would withdraw? Was she ever in the picture to talk about withdrawing?
If Shu Yan didn’t have faith in Feng Zeyu, the woman’s word would have stirred up some misunderstandings. They were seeing each other and the old lady that he was living with was asking about some other girl. Was that the old lady’s idea or was that Feng Zeyu’s idea?
Besides, if Shu Yan really was just a divorced woman with two children with no career or work, would she feel inferior when met with a woman who was single, decent looking, and have a good job?
Unfortunately, Shu Yan has a successful career. Nevermind that Zhou Xiao Mei was just a high school teacher. She wouldn’t care even if she was a university professor. Most importantly, Shu Yan had faith in Feng Zeyu.
