It was obvious this was going to be problematic, it was one thing to go up against a Denizen, but it was definitely something else to go up against an Aspirant. Cole had forgotten that in Titan Rising Online anything goes, the aspirants could just as well be the enemies that are being fought against, everyone was looking for their own method and way to get ahead. It didn't matter who you threw your lot in with, power is power.
"I know what you guys are going to say, I know what you want to say. But does it matter, you think its everyone that can have a stick stuck up so far up their asses that they look down on the rest of the world. Do you think it's everyone that can be like you, you fucking bastard and get one lucky break after another, it's almost as if the system itself is looking out for your fucking ass, and giving you one big break after another….. but it's my turn now, I'll beat you and break you and your fucking undefeated legend and the world will see that you ain't shit!"
Cole blinked his eyes, silence hanging over the entire battlefield as everyone was waiting for his response. He used his pinky finger to scratch at his ears, as he looked up and asked with so much confusion on his face…. "Who the fuck are you?" Neral sputtered out a barely restrained laughter as the Aspirant yelled out in anger and rushed at Cole. Cole rolled his eyes and rushed after the Aspirant too, ignoring hundreds of metallic spikes that was now hovering in the air and aiming for him. Cole took a step forwards.
[Spectral Rover] [Black Demon Swordsmanship] [Wrath Drive] [Black Cut]
Cole appeared behind the Aspirant, his eyes close and his arm outstretched to his front, Black Malakai having shifted it's form to that of a Katana. Cole turned it to the side and clicked the sword before sheathing it back, making sure the blade cut on the edge of scabbard to removed an residual blood. Not many people knew this, but Cole's first Martial art was actually kendo. The head guard of the family was not mixed Japanese and Chinese heritage, as such he had so many things to teach the younger Cole.
The body of the Aspirant crashed to the ground, and not too far behind his head rolled to the side. Another anticlimactic end to what was supposed to be an extremely epic battle, but Cole did not care, now that he was in this state he was just in it for the slaughter. He shifted, this time fully relying on the skills from his weapon as ducked under a wild swing from a bruiser that seemed to be covered in metal plates that had been scrapped from rubble.
[Black Malakai] flashed through the air again, taking the bruisers let off, as Cole pulled [Blue Obsidian] and left a bullet in the Bruisers skull, which promptly exploded soon after. He swung the revolver in his left hand to the left, the barrel catching a leaping Baneling in the jaw as the Bruiser crashed to the ground and the Baneling turned into mist that promptly rushed into Cole's body.
Smart, he could feel the smoke trying to ruin his insides, and in some parts it was successful, but Cole was healing faster than it could make any permanent damage. But it seems the Baneling was not ready to come out or stop, So Cole left it inside of him, shuddering even though his extremely focused mind about the innuendo of having a Baneling 'Inside' of him. Cole moved forwards, reversing the grip on [Blue Obsidian] as he held it by the barrel and up like a Club.
[Black Demon Swordsmanship] was a fluid martial art, to Cole it seemed like a combination of precise strikes, with elegant and swift movements. But every blow he made was a killing blow, and it was a dual wield sword skill, however it was not that way in a traditional sense, as the secondary weapon is emphasized on being way smaller than the primary one. Small knives, daggers, rods, guns, anything at all that is smaller and can be concealed and have a lot more maneuverability then the main weapon.
A Bruiser stomped it's massive feet on the ground, creating a powerful tremor that rushed in Cole's direction as he jumped into the air. He created a Platform of [Gravity] behind him, then used it to propel himself at high speeds. Towards the bruiser, his body corkscrewing in the air as he slammed into its skull, [Black Malakai] buried to the hilt, before he pushed off, his body flipping away in an impressive show of acrobatics as he created another [Gravity] platform to arrest his momentum and promptly shoot him towards the Next Bruiser.
[Black Malakai] flashed as that was the only thing the Bruiser saw, and the next and the next. The normal Banelings were all crowding around the Bruisers in an attempt to get to who or what they were sure was the most dangerous creature on the battlefield, and that was Cole. This was the sixth wave, and even with the increased amount of enemies, it was not even enough to give Cole a challenge, they were still going strong.
It took Cole a whole of three minutes to put all 36 Banelings Bruisers down. He knew the next wave would bring double the number but he was not shaken. But as soon as the final Baneling fell, the entire atmosphere within the battlefield changed. Cole most definitely did not have as flashy a skill, but he was efficient just as he was brutal.
But ultimately up until this point, all of this was still just training for Cole, this was a crucible that was necessary for him as he pushed every skill and technique available to him to the limit in order to refine his combat capabilities and utilize his potential to full. But with this the sixth wave was at an end, the seventh would be coming for them 70 minutes, and Cole had reached level 60 again. Now it was time to grow some more.
