Chapter 75 - Teach That Ignorant Runt

Yvonne's dreams were pleasant and nothing out of the ordinary appeared in them.

Even the memories of her time spent with the entity in the 'future' were erased by Asmodeus which helped in her getting better sleep.

When she woke up, the first thing she did was ask Mrs. Jacinth what her first class for the day was.

"It is embroidery followed by dance class, then etiquette and the last would be history class, Miss." She answered after giving it a moment's thought.

Yvonne grumbled as she sat before the mirror while Mrs. Jacinth combed her hair into cute half buns.

Half the hair stayed on top of her head tied up in two buns while the other half was left loose at the back of her head.

Yvonne's chubby cheeks made her look like a little panda with the ears at the top of her head.

'This is what I have been reduced to!' She scowled on the inside while checking herself out in the mirror.

Hearing the long list of classes which meant that she had to wait for a while before her class with Marquess Samed made her frown.

Her nanny was a keen and perceptive old woman and was quick to catch the changes on her face.

"Miss, if these classes are tiring you then let us just cancel the one which will start tomorrow." She proposed and glanced at Yvonne's face through the mirror.

'Oh, so the news about my bizarre request has already reached the servants of the house.' Yvonne inferred after hearing Mrs. Jacinth's suggestion.

She knew that this would happen when they would see her training with the trainer that her father had prepared for her but for the news to spread so soon was certainly surprising.

"I will be alright, nanny but I will be giving you more trouble because of my selfish wishes." She pouted as she looked back into the old maid's eyes.

Mrs. Jacinth was worried that the young and delicate body of her young miss might not be able to bear the training but when she saw the determination in her eyes, she decided to simply nod in agreement to her wishes.

"This old maid will be here to take care of your every need until my last breath." She declared and lovingly smiled at the child whom she had watched grow up.

When Yvonne heard the vow that ther nanny had made, she felt a strange yet familiar ache in her heart.

However, the tingly feeling disappeared just as fast as it had appeared.

'Do I have heart problems?' Yvonne wondered why she was getting these weird moments where her heart's thumping got out of control.

While she was worrying about her heartache, Mrs. Jacinth had finished helping her dress up.

She was then led to the dining room where she had a silent breakfast with her family following which she rushed to begin her day with the first class.

Watching her leave the room with her maid, Howard glanced at the closed door then at his father.

"Have you decided on who will be the tutor?" He questioned while rubbing his chin.

'Are there any women who have learned these things ever before so that they might teach the little devil?' He tried to recollect if he had heard of any such news but to no avail.

Women rarely stepped out of their comfort zone which comprised every skill that was required to be a virtuous wife and a loving mother.

However, this sister of his was the odd one who desired to learn what no other girl in the capital, not even the Royal Princess had thought of attempting.

Rutherford was aware of his son's curiosity and hence decided to keep it a secret from him.

"You will know who it is tomorrow morning." He smirked while speaking in a roundabout way.

Raylene smiled at her son who was grumbling under his breath after hearing Rutherford's words.

"He wouldn't let me know who it was as well, Howie. Let us just wait until tomorrow." She coaxed her son but his frown did not fade.

"I will be leaving early in the morning for the Royal Academy. What if I miss meeting this tutor because that lazy brat was sleeping?" He scoffed while thinking of Yvonne who was the last one to awaken every day.

"Howard, that is not how you address your cute little sister." His father reprimanded him but he wasn't too harsh with his words.

His son would be away for a month and he did not want their last day together to be filled with arguments.

"Both the tutor and your sister will be there to see you off tomorrow." Rutherford promised and then lovingly ruffled his son's hair.

Howard did not stick to this topic any longer and moved on to rambling about his new sword and his excitement about his new classes.

Raylene and Rutherford shared a glance and then watched their son who was extremely enthusiastic about the new academic year at the Royal Academy.

While Yvonne had started her first class of the day and her parents were listening to Howard's rants about his academy, there was someone who was annoyed at them.

Inside a large and properly kept office was a man with icy blue hair with his back facing the door as he focused his eyes on watching the green trees and the vast grounds outside his window.

A knock on the door disturbed his thoughts but that was not enough to take his eyes away from the sight that he was watching.

"Come in." He commanded in a firm tone which was instantly obeyed as the door was pushed open.

The man did not turn around even when the sounds of footsteps grew closer to him.

"You do realize that you have disturbed my observation hours." He uttered while tapping his hand on the armrest of his chair.

"Apologies, Sire but there was a letter addressed to you from the Lord of the St. Claire Earldom." The young man who had just entered the room spoke with a respectful undertone laced in his voice.

He bowed down and presented the letter that was personally delivered by the butler of the St. Claire family early in the morning.

Fulfilling his duty, the young man bowed once again and then hurried out of the room to give his Sire some privacy.

The man opened the letter only after the young man had left the room.

After reading the contents of the letter, the man with icy blue hair sneered before tearing it up into little pieces.

"Teach that ignorant runt who couldn't even stay seated on a horse?" He chuckled as he tossed the bits of paper out of the window.

He knew about this as the news of Yvonne St. Claire injuring herself after falling off the horse was a well-known gossip in the capital city of Amarthea.

His eyes followed the pieces of paper which fluttered outside his window.

The wind carried the torn pieces away from his window and the man watched as a few pieces landed on the saddle of a horse before they fell to the ground.

"Looks like fate wants me to witness the sight of you falling off the horse once again." He laughed louder and then focused his sights back at the place of his interest.

"I will see you tomorrow, little lady St. Claire." He muttered and threw the thought of the child of his old friend at the back of his mind.

Yvonne endured the boredom of the first three classes with great patience as she awaited her favorite tutor to arrive.

She was now in the room that they had the history class and sighed while pressing her aching feet.

'That dance class was torturous!' She complained as she lamented her sore feet.

'If this body is so sore only after dance and etiquette classes… How will it handle the training for the new skills that I wish to learn?' She scowled at her weak physique.

This was also the reason why she had strengthened her resolve to go through with the training.

To improve the physical condition of her body which might be needed in the future.

'The ants that stored up food for the winter survived but the lazy grasshopper did not.' She recalled her Grandpa's lessons whenever she would try to skip her heir training.

She knew that at the beginning of learning any new thing would be tough as the body would try to resist the strain.

She just needed to patiently wait and power through until her body got used to it, then everything would be smooth sailing henceforth.

While she was thinking of ways to cope with the initial muscle soreness that she is bound to experience, someone entered the room.

"What has got you so engrossed that you did not notice this grown man arriving?" Marquess Samed questioned with an amused and arrogant smile on his face.

Yvonne was surprised to hear his voice as she had truly not noticed him and now saw that he had already taken his seat opposite her.

She first rose from her seat and greeted him with the curtsy that was the mandate in the kingdom and then her eyes went to the items in his hands.

Sullivan smirked when he caught the intense gaze she had maintained on the folder and the pair of books that he had carried with him.

Setting them on the table between them, he glanced at his prized pupil with his brows raised.

"The information you had requested is here." He announced and chuckled as a brilliant smile formed on her face.
