Chapter 151 - Enjoyed Our Conversation

Yvonne had a surprisingly fun time inside Rutherford's office that afternoon.

The pair of father and daughter sat together and discussed the report that she had prepared for Marquess Samed's class.

'Who knew that he wouldn't mind having an intellectual conversation with me?' She chuckled as she recollected the happenings of the afternoon.

The trade routes that Yvonne had to prepare for the home assignment for a mercantile family like theirs was the means of their bread and butter.

Rutherford, who was an expert on these matters had been a huge help to finish her report faster than what she had expected it to be.

Once she was done with her assignment, he carried her back to her room and let her down before her door.

"I enjoyed our conversation today. Let us talk some other day as well." He informed her while patting her head.

The lord of the house was not only happy that his child was doing so well in her studies and knew about basic matters required to run their business but also that he had succeeded in obtaining the information that he was desperate for.

'He seemed enthusiastic to hear about my class with the Captain.' She surmised when she remembered the radiance that emanated from his face when she had told him all about the class she had today.

Now that she was done for the day, all she had to do was rest well and spend the next day lazing around the house.

'Maybe I can hunt for the entrance to the Lower Hall in my free time!' She made plans for the next day as she sat by the window.

Observing the serene view of the lake which was clear to see from her window, she smiled when she saw that Demon was strolling about leisurely.

"Demon!" She called out in a loud voice to let the etcher notice her presence which he did almost immediately.

The huge etcher had been getting acquainted with his new home and had decided to take a new route today to see what he might find next.

To his surprise, he found his master's window which would soon become his favorite spot to wait at to see her figure from below in the future.

Yvonne sat and waved at the horse from above and chuckled when he neighed while nodding his head at her.

'He is so adorable at times!' She exclaimed while cupping her cheeks.

Since she had completed her work before time, she spent the rest of the evening watching the horse strolling around from her window.

Having the same attention snap and energy as a child, she was soon bored and tired after sitting by the window for long.

Thus, Yvonne came to the conclusion that she would soon need a nap and that was what she had decided to do.

'A short nap before dinnertime!' She sighed and then jumped onto the bed.

Mrs. Jacinth who had been watching her from the door walked up to her and helped her adjust the blankets before silently leaving the room.

The dream vacation that Yvonne had wished for in her previous life was her daily schedule in this life.

'That weird blue bird said that this was a punishment but so far… I think that I am doing alright!' She snickered at the big words that she had heard before she was tossed into this world by Asmodeus.

The god of flight and thunder who had been absent for quite a while from her life was right now lounging in his Palace high up in the heavens.

As usual, he did not bother to check up on her since no major event had taken place to disrupt the script that he had written.

Hence, he was enjoying his merry time with his disciple Theo without bothering to look into matters concerning the world that he had created.

However, the easy life that Yvonne was happy to have would certainly have changes in the future.

That future would be today, tomorrow, or a few years from now.

As she was unaware of the things that might shift with every death flag that she evades, she had no clue as to how she would affect the flow of the story which was now her life.

Therefore, the little girl slept without any worries or fears about what might happen next.

___

One such aspect which might certainly spin her present carefree life out of control was the two brothers who were sitting with each other at this moment.

King Ophire leaned forward as he poured tea into a beautiful cup for his baby brother and offered it to him.

Usually, it would be the King who was being served by the stewards and the maids of the Palace without him even lifting a single finger.

But this King would personally do the work for the sake of his little brother.

"I've asked them to bring your favorite desserts for snacks." He expressed while pointing at the large spread of desserts placed on the table before them.

Prince Draco Roschester glanced at the large quantity of sweet and savory dishes and then began rubbing circles on his already bulging belly.

"Brother, you have already stuffed me with enough food to last me a few days." He jested while shaking his head.

This big brother of his had served his plate with everything that had been cooked in the Royal kitchen today for lunch.

Now, he was yet again trying to feed him more food during their evening tea.

"If Uncle does not want it then Felly would like some!" A cute whisper was heard which made the men turn around.

Draco's emerald eyes came in contact with the shimmering ocean blue eyes that were staring back at him.

King Ophire's eyes which were bent due to his smile at hearing the soft voice were now stern after he saw that his beloved daughter was hiding in the bushes behind them.

The Princess who had sneaked out of her Rose Palace, past her curfew smiled at the angry man who was glaring at her.

Though King Ophire doted on this daughter of his, this did not mean that he was accepting such misbehavior from her.

"Princess Felicia Marie Rosenhyde, explain why you are here at this moment instead of the place where you should be!" The King interrogated while continuing to leer at her.

Draco chuckled when he saw the cute little face peeking from the bushes which appeared like a little rabbit popping up out of nowhere.

'Oh boy!' Princess Felicia grimaced when she heard her entire name being used by her father.

The only times he would call her by her Royal name instead of the cute 'Felly' was when he was mad at her.

She knew that there was only one person who could save her at such times and hence she did what she knew would work every single time.

'Uncle!' She cried out in her heart as she turned her big blue eyes towards this uncle who was just a few years older than her.

The pout and the continuous fluttering of her lashes melted the sweet and considerate uncle's heart as she was after all his favorite and only niece in the world.

"Is big brother angry that Felly has come to greet me?" Prince Draco muttered to himself as though he was contemplating about the words he had just heard from the King of Rosenhyde.
