"By the way, I forgot to ask, is your age on the stele real?"
Mikena did not answer, choosing the right to remain silent.
"Okay, then another question, but this one I definitely want an answer to." - This time Victor said firmly, he had been tormented by one question for a long time and only now being in comfort and relaxed he remembered it.
"Why is your cultivation base so low? Aren't you a demigod?" - Victor asked curiously.
But all he got in return was a disgruntled look, which made him think that Mikena was looking at him as if he were guilty.
"Because of you!" - Mikena grumbled.
"Me?" - Victor pointed a finger at himself in puzzlement, as he did not understand why he was accused of this.
"Uh-huh, I already told you how I watched you suffer and soon I wanted to relieve you of the torment of loneliness by joining you."
Victor nodded his head, recalling these words.
"The immortal and mortal worlds are completely different from each other not only by the scale of the world but also by the level of qi of heaven and earth, I thought that by reducing my cultivation base to a minimum not to break the laws of this world I could descend into the mortal world without any problems but I was wrong." - Mikena did not seem to lie and make up ridiculous excuses, deciding instead to tell the truth why she had lost almost all her cultivation base, of course she did not dare to mention the gods as she had never met them either.
Because she herself, being in the world of the Immortals, had only heard rumors about them and never believed them to be real until she accidentally noticed Victor being mocked by said gods.
"When I almost reached the mortal world I do not know what happened but the moment before the successful passage, all the laws of the world suddenly began to press on me, at first they did not give me much sense of danger as this is the world of mortals, there was no problem, but little by little I began to get tired and when I did not have even half the strength remaining, something happened that shocks me to this day.
Lightning bolts of heavenly sorrow!
"I don't know why they suddenly appeared there, but luckily I managed to survive losing almost all of my cultivation base, storage rings, artifacts, and all the treasures from the immortal world. Only through sheer luck I still survived, but now I'm sure it's impossible to pass between worlds unless you reach the threshold level of cultivation that a world can withstand to break through above that world.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
"HAHAHAHA! Brilliant."
Victor clapped his hands together before bursting into laughter. Instead of encouraging her loss, he laughed long and hard until tears welled up in his eyes.
It was rather amusing to hear of her troubles; the phrase "Curiosity has killed the cat" would have been quite appropriate, for Mikena almost died from her curiosity, which almost cost her dear life.
But past that, he learned a lot.
Victor was not at all surprised to learn about a world much bigger than the one he was in now, it is common in novels, when the protagonist becomes stronger than everyone in his world it is an obvious cliche for incredibly strong enemies from another world to invade.
'I won't go there even if all the people in that world die!' Thought Victor as he was not at all eager to explore a new world where there were nothing but dangers and monsters that could shatter planets at the flick of a switch in their minds lurking around.
Fortunately he heard something that made him very happy, "The gods cannot descend without suffering a heavy loss," it was like music to his ears, now he was sure that they could not harm him until he ascended into the immortal world.
He didn't even suspect that Mikena had lied, she was in a panic and the fear that once Victor came to know the truth he would kick her out. They were very strong, so she lied, because even in her world the gods were mythical beings considered monsters who could shatter their world with a snap of their fingers.
Looking at the happy and unsuspecting expression on Victor's face, Mikena decided to keep silent because she did not want him to be very disappointed in his conclusions and life, she did not think that they could appear again, in her opinion now it was impossible.
Victor had already roughly put together a rough plan for how he should move forward, as well as what level of cultivation he should be at, so as not to accidentally ascend to another world. He clearly remembered that there were only four realms in this world.
Initial Ascension(1), Earthly Ascension (2), Heavenly Ascension (3), and Mortal Ascension(4).
Most of this world's practitioners were in the realm of Initial Ascension(1), but they were considered all losers who had no talent for cultivation. All of them were born only to be under someone until they die.
The realm of Earthly Ascension (2) usually contains disciples of various sects, they have a little potential to break through to the next realm if they don't die before then.
In the realm of the Heavenly Ascension(3) were usually the elders of respected sects and clans, they are revered by the world and there are only a handful of people who would dare to offend them.
And finally, in the realm of Mortal Ascension(4), practitioners in this realm are like dragons, in this world no one would ever dare to offend them and just their names cause fear and awe. Usually only masters of higher sects and the Emperor of the Blue Wind Empire are at this level of cultivation, any of these people are over a thousand years old.
Victor sighed heavily while remembering this information in the library of the Yang Clan, which he had studied immediately after his arrival in this world. If before he wanted to become the strongest in this world, listening to Mikena's story he changed his mind, Victor would not take such a risk.
Late Stage Mortal Ascension(4) is dangerous and he could be accidentally transported to another world, something Victor would like to avoid at all costs and even if it happened he wouldn't be too surprised.
"Initial or Middle Stage Mortal Ascension(4) it is then." It was the best option, in Victor's opinion, in which it is unlikely that the heavens would forcefully send him to the immortal world.
